Chapter 5.
I grab the clothes and walk towards the bathroom closing the door behind me to get changed. My phone vibrates when I am in the bathroom from an Unknown number and it leaves a voicemail. When I get changed I walk back into the bedroom and grab my phone "new voicemail?” I listen to the voicemail and smile when I hear Joe's voice "hey baby I am just making sure you got there ok and too tell you I miss ya lots! I will visit soon OK?! got to go but I love you loads. Bye.” I shake my head and laugh softly before heading towards the door and heading downstairs. I hear my grandpa’s voice coming from the kitchen "I am telling you Alex it was the same wolf.” I hear my dad and “that’s ridiculous dad no one knew she was coming back to town.” I walk in and my dad smiles at me "hey honey.” My grandpa looks at me and my grandma walks towards the cooker and shakes her head "who turned off the cooker?” She looks at my grandpa and he nods towards my dad and walks towards the fridge and grabs a beer and sits down at the table "hey honey.” My grandma walks towards the cooker and stirs the curry and tastes it “what the?” She looks at the on switch and take a deep breath “who turned the cooker of?” My grandpa nods towards my dad and my dad shrugs “what?” He walks towards the fridge and grabs a beer "I thought you was finished.” My grandma take a deep breath and shakes her head before turning back to the curry “no it was still cooking but now It's ruined.” She picks the pot up and sticks the curry in the bin and sticks the pot into the sink and shakes her head “sorry sweetheart but the curry is ruined.” She looks at my dad and smirks "thanks to your dad.” She looks at me and take a deep breath “but we can order take out if you like? maybe watch a movie?” I smile gently and nod “that sounds perfect.” She hands me a few take out leaflets and I smile “pizza sounds good.” I hand her the leaflets back and she sticks them back into the drawer except the pizza menu and smile "usual?” She looks at my dad and he nod "fine by me.” My dad’s’ mobile rings as my grandpa picks up the house phone "It's work.” My grandma rolls her eyes and sticks the phone down "pizza for three then I take it.” My dad take a deep breath and answers his phone "hey Phillip.”
My dad walks out to the hallway and continues his conversation "is his work always like this?” I sit down at the table and drink a sip of my dad’s beer "yes.” My grandpa looks up and take the beer of me "not until your 21 young lady.” I roll my eyes and take a deep breath "was only a sip.” My dad comes back in and smiles sarcastically "sorry.” My grandma smiles "let me guess.” She picks up the house phone and dials the number "you got to go into work?” My dad take a deep breath and nods towards me "yeah sorry honey.” I shake my head and smile softly "It's fine we can catch up tomorrow?” He smiles and kisses my forehead "yes we can go shopping and for some lunch tomorrow deal?” I nod and smile "deal.” My dad grabs his jacket and waves "see you later.” He walks towards the door and smiles back "oh and keep me some pizza for when I am back.” He walks out the door closing it behind him. I stand up and head towards the door and smile "just get me the usual.” I walk into the living room and turn on the lights and see the dog sitting in the corner “fuck.” I jump in fright and my grandpa comes in "what?” I grab the remote and sit on the sofa with my feet up. "What?” My grandpa comes in and smiles "keep forgetting you got a dog.” The door looks up and yawns "when did you get him anyway?” The dog stands up and stretches “we rescued him about 2 months ago but he’s not really interacted with anyone except me once or twice.” The dog walks towards me and places It's head at the side of my legs and licks my hand "so he’s never done anything like this?” My grandpa looks over and shakes his head in shock "no.” He sits taps the free space next to him and whistles "Hulk!” The dog looks over and lays It's head back on the side of my legs "how did you get him to do that?” I shrug my shoulders and smile “not sure.” I stroke his head and smirk "gift of the dogs I guess.” My grandpa shakes his head and laughs "he’s never like that.” I tap the space next to me and Hulk jumps up and lays his head on my leg and falls back to sleep as my grandma walks in smirking "what's going on then?” She sits next to my grandpa and nods towards me "I made a new friend.” My grandma looks at my grandpa and smirks "you have been replaced.” My grandpa rolls his eyes and smiles "is that pizza ordered?” My grandma sits back and smiles "yeah said it will be here in 20 mins.” She looks at me and nods "you want to watch a movie or something?” I pass the remote too my grandma and she turns it on and flicks through the movie section and stops on them “chick flick? comedy? horror?” I point towards a movie and smile "Wolfs of the Night.” My grandma clicks on the movie and plays it “George turn the lights of.” She leans towards the table at the side of her and turns the lamp on as my grandpa stands up and turns the light of.
He walks into the hallway cupboard and grabs blankets before coming back in and handing me one "here you go sweetheart.” I take the blanket and cover me and Hulk and turn back to the TV and watch the movie. My grandpa sits next to my grandma and she lean’s in towards him and cuddles into him “yous guys are too cute.” I look over and smirk and my grandpa rolls his eyes "shh.” They smile at me and laugh before looking at each other and kiss. After ten minutes into the film Hulk flings his head up and out of the blanket and looks towards the window as a motorbike pulls up and someone gets of holding a large pizza bag. Hulk jumps down and run towards the door “pizza is here.” I stand up and walk towards the door "I will get it.” I open the door to see a young beautiful boy standing holding the pizza bag “that will be $23 please.” He unclips the bag and grabs the pizza boxes and looks at me and smiles. I look around for money and laugh nervously "grandma I need money.” I look back at the boy and he smiles with these white teeth and sparkling blue eyes "my purse is in the drawer in the table by the door.” I go into the drawer and spot the purse and smile “oh here we go.” I grab the purse and hand him $32 and smile “keep the change.” He hands me the pizzas still smiling “thank you.” He walks towards his bike and looks back before sticking his helmet on and smirks before getting onto his bike and driving off. I smile and take a deep breath before closing the door and walk back into the living room where my grandparents are leaning over the sofa smiling towards me “what?” I laugh nervously and hand them the pizza boxes “cute was he?” My grandpa take the boxes and I sit down and roll my eyes “maybe.” I stick the blanket over me again and Hulk sits at the bottom of my feet and lies back down. My grandpa hands me the pizza box and smiles "here you go sweetheart.” I take the box and smile "thanking you.” I sit up straight and open the box and my grandma plays the movie again and I eat into my pizza smiling. Halfway through the movie my grandparents giggle and I look over and see them whispering and giggling. I smile and shake my head and face the TV again and eat the rest of my pizza. My grandpa stands up and yawns “wow look at the time.” He looks towards my grandma and smiles and she nods "oh yeah look at that.” She stands up and yawns "wow what a long day.” They look at me and smirk “we are going to call it a day ok sweetheart?” I nod and smile “ok.” My grandpa picks up the blanket and places it onto the sofa and nods “goodnight.”
They walk towards the door and my grandma looks back and nods "don’t stay up too late you have a day of shopping with your dad for school stuff.” They head upstairs still giggling and I shake my head and laugh softly “I hope I find someone and be in that love when I am their age.” I face the TV and watch the rest of the movie and eat the rest of my pizza. Twenty minutes after my grandparents go to bed I start too drift off to sleep and eventually my eyes give in and I black out on the sofa and fall asleep. When I wake up again I yawn and sit up looking around and realise I'm in bed in my bedroom. I look at the alarm clock and yawn “7AM?” I get out of bed and head towards the bathroom “ow.” I hit my leg of something at the bottom of my bed knocking it over. I look down and see my suitcase on the floor “how did this get there?” I look around and shake my head "least I got clothes now though.” I pick it up and stick it onto my bed before heading into the bathroom and going for a shower. After a few minutes I come out the shower and head towards my bed with my bath rope on and open the curtains and see the rain pour down hitting against the window “thank god I brought warm clothes.” I take a deep breath and open my case grabbing a jumper and a pair of jeans. I sit on the edge of the bed and grab my hairbrush from my suitcase and start brushing my hair when I hear someone knock at the door “come in!” I look up towards the door “hey sweetheart.” My grandma walks in and hands me a glass of orange juice "I didn’t know if you would be awake.” She nods towards me and smiles "you want breakfast?” I take a sip of the orange juice and smirk “oh yes please.” She raises her eyebrow and smiles "what you wanting?” I shrug my shoulders and smile "I will just have whatever yous are having.” She smiles and nods slowly “okay sweetheart.” She walks towards the door and closes it behind her before walking downstairs. I look at my clothes and take a deep breath "let’s hope this day is better than yesterday.” My dad and grandpa are in the kitchen sitting at the table talking about last night’s event “I am telling you Alex I know what I saw.” My grandpa leans back and crosses his arms as my grandma walks in laughing "are yous still speaking about this?” My dad nods and leans back onto his hair "yes.” My grandma grabs pancakes from the fridge and laughs “well don’t let Misty hear or she will be asking questions yous are not ready to answer.” My dad and grandpa look at each other and take a deep breath "fine.” My dad leans forward and looks at my grandma and smiles “those pancakes for me?” He grabs a plate and sticks it in front of him smiling "no.” My grandma laughs and shakes her head "these are for Misty.” She grabs the plate and sticks a pancake on it and smirks "make your own.” My dad rolls his eyes and take a deep breath “I was going to grab something later anyway.” He smirks and leans back crossing his arms. My grandma laughs gently “good.” She sticks another pancake onto the plate and sticks them onto the table with a glass of orange juice as I walk into the kitchen.
"Morning.” They all look at me and smile "morning honey.” My dad stands up and walks towards me and kisses my forehead "I am going to get dressed.” He walks upstairs and my grandma pulls out the chair "sit.” I walk towards the chair and sit down where the pancakes are sitting and smile "please don’t tell me all of those are for me?” My grandma smirks and nods slowly "yeah why?” I look at the plateful of pancakes and scoff “thanks grandma but I won’t be able to finish all of them.” I grab another plate and stick half the pancakes onto a plate and stick them into the middle of the table "I will leave them for dad.” I grab the blueberries and place a few of them onto my pancakes and eat into them. When my dad comes back down he stands by the door and smiles "ready?” I nod and smile "yeah.” I stand up and my dad looks over me and smiles "you want them pancakes?” He walks towards the table and grabs two and smiles "of course.” He take a bite out of one before heading towards the front door "let’s go.” I follow behind him and walk towards his car and get in "did you have a good sleep?” I smile and nod "yeah.” I look at him and laugh "did you carry me upstairs last night?” He nods and smiles with a mouthful of pancakes before swallowing "yeah I saw you asleep on the sofa hanging of so I carried you up about 4AM.” I look down at my clothes and laugh "did you also bring my suitcase up?” He nods and smiles "yeah the boys from the garage dropped your case of at the station and I brought it up and that's when I realised you wasn't in your room.” I nod slowly and stick my hair behind my ear "oh right.” I laugh awkwardly and sit back "I must have been really sleepy last night.” He looks at me and nods "well it was a long day." When we pull into the mall car park I undo my belt and laugh softly "how did you manage to get me into school so quickly anyway? I wasn't expecting to start so fast.” He looks down and laughs nervously "I stuck your name down months ago when your mum first called me about you coming to stay.” He looks at me and shrugs "plus the headmaster owed me a favour.” I raise my eyebrows and nods "good to know.” He shakes his head and undoes his seatbelt "let’s go."
We walk towards the mall and I take a deep breath "so?” My dad looks at me and shrugs "you excited about starting school?” I shrug my shoulders and giggle “a little.” He shrugs my shoulders and tilts his head “but?” I take a deep breath and smile softly “I just hate that I aren’t going to know anyone and everyone will already have their little groups and I'm not sure where I will fit in.” He laughs and shoves me “don’t be silly.” He looks at me and nods "you will fit in well.” I shrug my shoulders and he take a deep breath "alright then well tell me what you’re into.” I shrug my shoulders and laugh nervously “I don’t know.” He shakes his head and laughs “what do you mean you don’t know?” He raises his eyebrows “your trying to tell me you don’t know what you like?” I shrug and giggle. "Well I know you used to like Dancing when you were a kid so do you still into that?” I nod slowly and smile “yeah.” He opens the mall door and smiles "well there you go then.” I walk through and laugh "does the school have anything like that?” My dad shrugs and walks in behind me "not sure but I can find out if you want?” I shake my head and laugh nervously "no please don't.” I take a deep breath and nod "I want to do this on my own.” He nods firmly and smiles "ok.” My dad pulls out his phone and smiles "It's your grandma.” He answers the phone and smiles "hello mother.” After a few seconds he nods and smiles "ok I will let her know.” He looks at me and smiles "alright bye.”
He hangs up and looks at me "what?” He laughs and walks forward "your grandma told me too remind you that it gets cold here so get a jacket.” I roll my eyes and walk forward "I will.” My dad nods towards a clothes shop and we walk towards it "so?” He shrugs and smiles "what else do you like?” I take a deep breath and smile “hiking.” My dad raises his eyebrows and laughs "really?” I roll my eyes and smirk "yeah.” I smile and look down "I usually take nature pictures when I do them but I don't have my camera with me.” He nods slowly and smiles “well there you go then.” He shrugs and smirks "I am sure there will be something like that for you and you will make friends in no time.” I hug him and smile “thanks dad.” He laughs sarcastically and nods “hiking? Really?” I roll my eyes and nod “yes I usually go hiking once a month for a few hours.” I smile softly and nod "sometimes if I was up high enough and was lucky enough I got too see the sun setting and it was the best feeling and the most beautiful take a deep breath.” He nods and smirks “that sounds fun.” His phone rings and he take a deep breath "what does your grandma want now?” He grabs his phone from his jacket and rolls his eyes and answers it "hello Phillip.” He stops and nods a few times "yip ok I will be in soon as I can.” He looks at me and smirks "bye.”
He hangs up and take a deep breath "you got to go to work don't you?” He smiles and nods "yeah sorry honey.” I shake my head and smiles "It's fine work has to be done.” He hugs me and smiles "thanks for being so understanding.” He looks at the Electrical store and smiles "we can go a hike one time ok? no phones nothing.” I smile and nod “that sounds amazing.” He nods and smiles "good.” He goes into his jacket pocket and gets his wallet and hands me his credit card "here.” I take it and stick it in my bag "what's this for?” He nods towards the clothes shop "get whatever you need.” He looks towards the home store and smiles "get a few things for the room too if you like and I will pick you up in a few hours?” I smile and nod "thank you.” He walks towards the exit and smiles "text me once you’re done and I will come get you.” I nod and smile "I will.” He turns around and continue towards the exit before leaving and the door closing behind him.466Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡX2RFtlSh5I
