Chapter 14.
He steps in front and walks towards the school entrance with his friends slowly behind him. As we pass the bikes I look at them and smile before catching up with Cody and following them towards the school entrance doors. When we got too the school doors I stop and take a deep breath "ready?” Cody smirks and rubs my arm "you will be fine.” I nod slowly and smirk "I am just a little nervous.” I wipe my hands at the side of my dress and smirk "let’s do this.” Cody opens the entrance doors and I walk in with them all behind me. Everyone looks over and all whisper too each other as we walk through the school hallway "whys everyone look at us?” Cody laughs and wraps his arm around me “not us.” He looks around and smirks "you.” I can’t help by smile and "why?” I look at his arm and roll my eyes before moving his arm away from me “well I am not wanting to give them something to look at.” I walk forward and Cody flings his head back and stops before James and Andrew walk away smirking. Cody looks at his friends walked before looking towards me “Misty wait!” I look behind me and see Cody running towards me “I’m sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable.” He looks towards his friends and take a deep breath "you’re a good-looking girl but I get the message.” He looks at me and smiles "I will back of.” I laugh and he nods down the hallway “so can I still give you that tour?” I laugh and nod down the hallway "sure.” He holds his arm out and smiles "after you.” I roll my eyes and walk forward.
"So where too first?” I take a deep breath and look around "I’ve got to get my school schedule from the reception so I will let you lead the way.” He smiles and walks down the hallway nodding looking at his feet. Walking down the hallway everyone looks at us so I look at the ground and Cody looks straight forward so calmly about it like he doesn't even notice “so how you enjoying Harper Ferry so far?” I look up and smile “It's ok.” I shrug and smirk "a little cold but I guess I will get used to it.” He looks out a window and nods smiling “this is one of the hottest days I’ve seen in a long time actually.” He looks at the floor and smirks "so how long are you here for?” I look at Cody as he still looks at the floor smiling “8 months but maybe longer depending on how long my mums away in Europe for.” He looks at me and smiles “what she away for?” I cough and smile "emm "work.” He nods slowly before stopping "down here.” I look up from the ground "what?” I walk into him and laugh nervously "sorry.” I look at the direction Cody was looking and spot a reception sign at the side of the hallway and smile "oh right here we are.” I walk towards it and spot a young-looking girl sitting behind the desk on her phone not pay any attention to anyone around her. We walk over towards her and she still doesn't look up from her phone until Cody coughs. She shoots her head up smiling sticking her phone down and flicks her hair over her shoulder and plays with it with her finger “hey Cody.” She smirks and take a deep breath "what can I do you for.” still smiling at him and not looking at me once Cody laughs nervously and looks at me “hey Rachel my friend here is new and needs her school schedule.” She looks at me and her smile turns into a fake one.
She looks me up and down and turns to the computer "what's the name?” She gets her hands ready to type and I smile "It's Misty.” She looks at me and take a deep breath "second name?” I look at her and smirk "Lorenzo.” She types my name and prints something of the computer and looks at it closely before looking at me with wide eyes “oh.” She looks at the paper and coughs sitting up straight "you’re the Sheriffs daughter?” I smile and nod “yeah I guess the whole school knows that?” She smiles and nods slowly and Cody wraps his arm around me smiling “it don’t bother me baby.” Rachel looks at the paper in her hand quickly shoves it into a folder and hands me it. I can’t help but laugh at her reaction before shoving Cody’s arm of me “nice try but I'm happy with my boyfriend.” I look at Rachel and wink taking the folder “he’s all yours.” She smiles and blushes as I walk away. “Bye Cody.”
I look back and see Rachael wave and flutter her eyelashes as Cody walks towards me waving back “someone’s got an admirer.” Cody laughs and softly shoves me before grabbing my folder and getting the paper from it and reading it smiling "well I guess today is your lucky day not only do we have all the same classes we have lockers next to each other.” He hands me a piece of paper "32 18 19” I look at Cody and raise my eyebrows "what does that mean?” He nods towards the lockers and smiles "It's your locker number and combination code.” I stick the paper in my pocket and look at the schedule and laugh softly "so we have all the same classes?” He points at it and smiles “except history we have different teachers but everything else is the same.” I look at him and shrug laughing nervously “lucky you more like.” I look at the schedule and smile "you get too spend the next 8 months with me in every class except history.” He looks at me and take a deep breath “these next 8 months are going to be fun.” He winks and shoves me “you will be sick of me after 8 minutes and begging me to go back too Hollywood don’t worry.” He laughs softly and stops at a locker and opens it "here.” I look at the locker and see 32 on it "is this mine?” He nods slowly and smiles "yeah.” He opens the locker next to it and shoves have big in smiling "I don't think I will.” I look at him and raise my eyebrows "what?” He locks his lips onto mine and smiles "I don't think I will get bored of you.” He moves closer into me and smirks.
I freeze but eventually back away when I hear someone shout my name “Misty?!” I look around and see Ethan standing in front of us with his fists clenched and an angry look on his face with these big black sparky eyes. Ethan turns around still smirking but his face drops when he sees Ethan and scoffs "what do you want Denver?” He locks his eyes onto Cody and moves forward a little but stops himself and smirks towards Cody “this isn’t over!” He looks at me and winks before turning his head down the hallway rolling his eyes “Ethan!” I look down the hallway and see Grayson running down the hallway towards us before shoving Ethan down the corridor and into the first classroom. Cody looks at me and laughs nervously running his hands through his hair “that was weird right?” I look at him and take a deep breath "yeah.” He shakes his head and smiles "anyway.” He moves closer to me and smirks "where were we?” I place my hair behind my ear and move my head to the side to avoid his kiss “I’m sorry but I really do have a boyfriend.” He rolls his eyes and flings his head back “fine but as soon as yous breakup you text me ok?” He take my schedule and writes something down. I look over and see a number and can’t help but laugh “as soon as your breakup.” He hands me the paper back and winks "hit me up.” I roll my eyes sticking the paper in my bag “okay we have English first so are you ready? We still have 20 mins so we can take the long way and I can show you around a little if you want?” I nod smiling "after you.” I hold my hand out and he walks forward and I follow behind him. Walking down the hallway I can still feel everyone watch us but I choose to ignore it and continue to look at my feet “so?” I shoot my head up excited that Cody finally broke the awkward silence "tell me a bit about yourself.” I look at him and smile “what do you want to know?” He shrugs his shoulders and smiles “everything.” I nod and laugh nervously "okay well I spent most of my childhood in this town actually but move too Hollywood where I was raised by my mum who raised me alone. The only family I have really is my grandparents and dad but I hardly see them.” I look at him and shrug "that’s it really.”
He nods slowly and I shove him "so what about you?” He shakes his head and smiles “me?” I nod slowly and smile "yeah you.” He stands up straight and smiles "well my dad raised me and my older brother after my mum away when I was four. We live in an old looking castle in the back woods up a hill just out town.” He looks at me and smiles "that's it really.” I smile softly and look down "sorry about your mum.” I look at him and rub his arm "that must have been hard.” He looks down and smirks "yeah it was but I was too young to remember it.” He looks up and smiles "but older enough to remember her.” He nods slowly and smiles shoving me softly "so you close to your dad and brother?” He looks down again and his smile disappears "no.” He shakes his head and shrugs "well not my brother we don't get on but I am close to my dad I guess.” He stops at a staircase and looks up “well this is us.” I look up and nod "this is the front building stairs which leads too math’s and English and the gym is.” He points to the big red doors behind us and smiles "there.” I look the gym door and see people Dancing inside "what's going on in there?” I walk towards it and hear music as I approach the door "who is that?” I stop at the door and look through the window to the girls inside the gym hall cheerleading "that will be the Harper Hulas.” I look back at him and see him smiling looking through the window “who?” He looks at me and smirks "our cheerleaders.” I nod slowly and watch them again "ah.” He stands up straight and take a deep breath "the blonde one is Sydney.” I scan the girls and spot a blonde pale beautiful girl standing at the front of them all shouting at them through a microphone “she’s the cheer captain.” I look at him and smirk "just the cheer captain?” He looks at me and rolls his eyes "okay she maybe my ex.” I shake my head and look through the window again smiling "there good.” Cody leans back down and smirks "you cheer?” I nod slowly and smile "I used too.” He looks down towards me and smirks "you miss it?” I take a deep breath and nod "very much.” He looks back towards them and smirks before leaning forward making me fall into the door opening it "wow!" we both fall into the gym floor and I can’t help but laugh nervously as Cody stands up offering his hand I take it and smile "thanks.” I fix my dress and realise the music stops and I spot the blonde girl running over towards us smiling "play it nice.” I look at Cody as he whispers into my ear smiling.
When the girl approaches us she doesn’t even notice me and locks her eyes onto Cody "Cody baby!” She goes in for a hug and he hugs her awkwardly and kisses her cheek "hey S.” still not looking at me she starts too rub Cody's arm "you came too watch me cheer?” Cody coughs and shakes his head "Sydney this is Misty.” Cody touches my shoulder and Sydney's eyes follow his hands every movement and suddenly her smile disappears and she has a resting bitch face with her eyes locked onto mine like a deathly stare down. “Sydney this is Misty the new girl.” Cody looks at me and smiles softly "I’m showing her around and giving her a famous Sinclaire tour.” She gives me a smug smile before turning back too Cody and flicking her hair over her shoulder “a famous Sinclaire tour? how many tours have you given?” Cody shrugs and laughs nervously running his hand through his hair "this is my first." Sydney runs her hand up Cody's arm and smirks "oh Cody baby you know we actually have people on the welcome committee too show new people around right?” He continues to look at me smiling until Sydney touches his arm and take a deep breath "fine.” She looks at me and smirks "I guess a friend of Cody is a friend of mine.” She looks me up and down and smirks "so do you like what you see?” I raise my eyebrows and laugh nervously “I actually have a boyfriend.” Cody rolls his eyes and Sydney laughs sarcastically “I mean do you like the cheerleading but that’s good to know.” I look down and can feel my face burn up with embarrassment “oh right.” I look at the cheerleaders and shrug "yeah yous are good.” She smirks and rubs Cody’s arm “I know.” Cody moves his arm away from Sydney and runs his hand through his hair looking back at me smirking before facing Sydney again wrapping his arm around her "so Sydney baby.” She looks at him grabbing his hand holding onto it "yes baby?” Cody looks at me and smiles "you’re looking for new cheerleaders aren’t you.” He looks at Sydney again and smirks "baby?” Sydney looks at her squad and back at me and take a deep breath “yeah why?” Cody smirks and cuddles her "great.”
He nods towards me and shrugs “well we have 20 mins before our first class so why don't you let Misty try out? it would really mean a lot to me and would be nice if she had other friends other than me so she wouldn’t always have too hang out with me at lunch and break and stuff.” She looks at me and smirks "fine.” She rolls her eyes and Cody grabs her in for a hug "thanks you won’t regret it.” I knew he was using the fact that she liked him too get me a try-out early but It seemed too work so I didn't care what kind of game he wanted to play. Sydney moves her arm away from Cody smiling and take my hand runs over towards the rest of the cheer squad “listen up girls.” The girls stop talking and look towards us smiling “this is the new girl Misty.” They all look towards me and smile "she’s going to try out for the cheer squad so let’s take a seat and see what she can do.” She looks and me and smirks "good luck.” I nod slowly and take a deep breath "thanks.” She walks towards the benches and sits down with the rest of the girls smiling. I get into position taking a deep breath before nodding towards the girl by the laptop and she clicks a button and I look down towards the ground until the music starts. When the music starts I take a last deep breath before looking up and seeing Cody walk towards the benches and Sydney calling him over to sit next to her. He walks towards her and sits down and she places her hand on his knee but he locks his eyes onto me and doesn’t even notice. I start free styling to the music and do the best Grayson moves and cheers I know and everyone starts clapping. I look at Sydney and see her with a resting bitch face looking at me with her arms crossed as Cody smirks and leans forward with her eyes locked onto me.
Once the music finishes everyone stands up and cheers so I smile at them and take a bow and spot Cody running over towards me smiling. He picks me up and spins me around "you are amazing.” He puts me down and I smirk "thank you." Sydney runs over and coughs and we both look at her smirking “well I Guess today is your lucky day.” She looks at Cody and smiles "you don’t have too hang out with Cody all the time.” She looks at me and nods "you made the squad.” I grin and Cody hugs me "well done.” She scoffs and claps "we practice every Tuesday. Thursday and Friday after school next to the football team and cheer at the football games every Friday.” She nods towards the squad and smiles "you can also sit with them at lunch since I don’t do school lunch I won’t be there.” I smile towards her and nod slowly "thank you.” She runs back over towards her squad and Cody looks at me and smirks “I can’t believe I made the squad.” I look at Cody and nod "thank you.” Cody wraps his arm around mine and smirks "this was on you.” He walks towards the door and shrugs "your just very talented.” He laughs nervously and opens the gym door "plus if you didn't make it then I would have let you cheer for the football team yourself and tell them they couldn’t anymore.” I smile and hug him “thanks Cody.” When we leave the gym Sydney and her best friend Hannah's looks over one more time with an evil look on her face “I know that look Sydney.” Her best friend Hannah's smiles "what you thinking?” Sydney smirks and shrugs “what's that saying?” She turns around and faces Hannah's "keep your friends close.” She looks towards the gym door again and smirks "but your enemies closer.”436Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡTyg0wMphtG
