“Does yours have dents in the back?” I whispered to Noel, careful not to disturb the quietness that had fallen on our little group.
I flipped my Pendant over, showing her the small dents and scratches that almost looked like a sign of wear.
“Yeah, I noticed them last night.” She turned hers over and held it next to mine.
Her Pendant had scratches on it too but a lot less than mine did.
“Did you see this?” She flipped the Pendant back over and traced a circle around her crown.
A series of symbols surrounded her engravement in a language I could not recognize.
I held mine closer to me as I matched the symbols, confirming they were the same.
“What do you think it means?” she wondered aloud.
I shrugged. “Maybe a way to get our parents back? I hoped.
“Second house on the right,” Elizabeth spoke up from the front, instructing Enoch.
As soon as we pulled into the driveway, teens started exiting their vehicles, filling up the front lawn.
Hunter took a deep breath before unbuckling and climbing out of his seat. “Time to see if Elizabeth was right for once.”
