“We have now reached our cruising altitude. Feel free to roam about the cabin at your delight,” David announced over the jet’s speaker system. He began to give our height and coordinates but was quickly drowned out by another voice.

A couple of the teens began to cheer but I doubt he could hear us from the cockpit.
“Called it! You owe me twenty bucks.” Josiah punched Byrant in the shoulder.
“No way! I was the one that said he was going to get that Flair!” Byrant punched him back.
I rolled by eyes as they continued to dispute.
Jack stood up from his seat in the front and disappeared toward the cockpit.
From my seat in the back, I began to inspect all the teens.
The front row was empty currently, since that was where Jack had sat studying the diary and paper we had found in the attic.
Thomas and Hunter sat in the second row engaging in their own conversation.
Danielle and Rose resided directly behind them. Both were inspecting and comparing brochures they had found near their seats.
Across the aisle, the junior highers had spun in their seats, creating a small circle. All five of them had smiles on their faces as they fought over who had eaten the weirdest thing.
Grace sat behind them, staring out the window. Sparrow resided in the seat next to Grace, playing quietly with the unicorn on her lap.
Enoch had his feet propped up on the seat next to me and had fallen asleep soon after takeoff.
Elizabeth sat on my right, reorganizing her backpack for the fourth time.
James had chosen to sit in the co-pilot spot next to David, leaving the remaining seats available for everyone’s bags.
I leaned my head against the head rest and stared up at the beige-tinted ceiling.
My eyelids started to droop as my breaths became heavier. Within minutes, all I saw was darkness.

“Ahh!” someone’s scream cut through the air.
My eyes shot open as I stood up.
I heard more screams.
Suddenly, I understood what was happening.
The plan had tipped on its side and was descending toward the ocean.
Quickly.
“David!” I tried to yell over the screams but to no avail.
I pushed myself toward the cockpit.
The plane began to tip forward and started barreling, throwing the teens around the cabin.
I quickly lost my balance and fell down, the angle of the plane causing me to ram into the wall.
Pushing myself up as much as possible, I grasped the door, fumbling with the handle.
More teens around me screamed louder as they tried to brace themselves.
Yanking the door open, I fell into the cockpit.
But the seats were empty.
Then the plane hit the water.
