Chapter 6.
I look around and spot a little stall by the water fountain so walk towards it and am greeted by a girl around my age with long red hair and a welcoming smile "hey there what can I get you?” I look at the fridge and nod "just a bottle of water please.” She grabs a bottle of water from the fridge and smiles handing me it "$1.20 please.” I give her the change I have left in my purse and smile "thank you.” I head upstairs towards the clothes’ stores and spot a store named 'Bite' with appealing looking clothes so I walk towards it. I am greeted by a girl who looks just older than me standing behind the checkout desk smiling at me as I walk in. I smile at her and start looking around grabbing a few pair of jeans and few T-shirts. The girl behind the checkout walks over too me smiling “hey there.” I jump when I hear her and turn around and see her standing right behind me “oh hey.” She smiles and shakes her head “sorry I didn’t mean to scare you.” I shake my head and smile “It's fine I just didn’t hear you coming over.” She looks down at her feet and nods towards them "I have slippers on.” I look down at her feet and see fluffy slippers on her feet “oh yeah.” I smile softly and looks at the clothes in my hand "can I help you with anything?” I shake my head and smile “no I think I got it.” She shakes her head and grabs a basket from the stack of baskets by the door and I shake my head and laugh nervously “I didn’t even see them.” She holds it out and I stick the clothes in the basket and she hands me it “let me know if you need help with anything ok?” She smiles and walks back behind the checkout desk and I look inside the basket and nod and look around the store and spot the jackets so walk over towards them.
After looking at them I take a deep breath "nope nope nope.” I head towards the checkout desk and the girl behind the desk smiles and stands up straight grabbing a bag “you get everything you need?” I smile and nod “everything except.” She finishes bagging everything and smiles “a jacket.” we both say it at the same time and laugh softly. She looks at me and smiles "we just got new jackets in this morning actually.” She goes into the door behind her and comes back out a few seconds later holding a black jacket with a fluffy hood and holds it up too me “this any good?” I smile and nod “that’s perfect thank you.” She packs the jacket and hands me the bag “that will be $40 please.” I hand her my dad’s’ card and she swipe’s it and hands me its back smiling “you’re the sheriff’s daughter?” I raise my eyebrows and smile “how did you know?” She nods towards the card and smiles “the name on the card.” I laugh nervously “oh right yeah.” I stick the card into my purse and smile "I'm Misty.” She holds her hand out and smiles “Cameron Denver.” I shake her hand smiles "so how you liking Harper Ferry so far?” I shrug and grab the bag and stick it on the floor beside me "It's ok.” I shrug and take a deep breath "I haven’t seen much of it though.” She smirks and nods "well I could show you around if you like?” I nod and smile "I would love that.” She smiles and grabs a piece of paper from a notebook and writes something down “here is my number.” She hands me the piece of paper and smiles "text me when your free and we can arrange something.” I take the piece of paper and stick it in my pocket “I will thank you.” I shake my head and smile "so do you go to the school here?” She shakes her head and smirks “no but my two little brothers do why?” I take a deep breath and shake my head “I start there Monday and would have been nice too at least know one person.” She smirks and looks down “no I finished school a few years back but I can ask my little brothers to look out for you? Their around your age so they both will be in your year.” She looks up still smirking and I nod and raise my eyebrows “they both will?” She nods slowly and smiles “yeah they are twins.” She rolls her eyes and smiles "can’t miss them.” I nod slowly and smirk “oh right well yeah that would be perfect thanks.” I grab my bag and head towards the door and look around before leaving "nice meeting you.” Cameron smiles and waves "you too Misty.” I walk out the store and walk towards the Home store smiling.
I get outside and see someone in a black hood standing by the food stalls looking right at me. I shake my head and look at the figure again and see it still standing there looking at me. I head towards it but they walk behind the wall when I get closer. I walk a little faster and look around when I get behind the wall they disappeared too but no one is around "what the?” I look around and shake my head before walking towards the pizza restaurant still looking around “dammit.” I look at the pizza restaurant desk and realise no one is there so I shake my head and walk away "hi.” I jump when I hear a voice coming from behind me and look around and see the same beautiful pizza delivery boy from last night standing behind the pizza counter with these big blue eyes looking right at me. I look at him and smile and look around to see if there was anyone else around “hi Me?” I point too myself and he smiles and nods “yes hi you.” I walk towards him and smile “hi.” He points towards the pizza menu above him and smile "pizza?” I shake my head and smile "no thanks.” I look down and smile "I will grab something after I am finished shopping though.” He looks my up and down and smiles "getting anything nice?” I smile softly and nod "just a few things for starting school Monday.” He smiles and licks his lips “your starting Harper High?” I nod slowly and smile “yeah why?” He laughs nervously and licks his lips again “that’s the school I go too.” I smile nervously and raise my eyebrow “you go there?” He nods slowly and smirks “yeah me and my brother.” He nods behind him and I look over and see a boy standing behind him who looks like him “yous are twins?” His brother comes out the door and laughs “well aren’t you a smart cookie.” His brother elbows him and shakes his head “sorry about his rude manners.” He looks at his brother and take a deep breath “I am Ethan and this is my brother Grayson.” I smile and step forward “Misty.” Grayson sits down the chair behind Ethan and laughs “Misty?” I nod slowly and smile "as in Misty Lorenzo? The sheriff’s daughter?” He looks at his brother and raises his eyebrow and I smile nervously “yeah that’s me.” Ethan looks back towards me and smiles softly “your dad is friends with our dad.” I laugh softly and raise my eyebrow “really? who is your dad?” Ethan grabs the water from the counter in front of him and take a sip “Denver.” I look towards the Bite store and laugh softly “yous are Cameron's brothers?” I look back towards them and Grayson quickly stands up and raises his eyebrow “you know our sister?” I smile and nod “yeah.” I hold my bag up and smile “just met her there.” I smile and nod towards Ethan "she mentioned that she has twin brothers that will be in the same year as me so I am guessing she was speaking about yous?” Ethan looks towards the store and smiles “yeah that will be us.” Grayson rolls his eyes and heads back into the kitchen “I'm going for my break.” He closes the door behind him and Ethan rolls his eyes “sorry about him.” I shake my head and smile “no It's fine.” I grab my bag and nod “I should probably go though.” He smiles and nods “ok.” I walk away and turn back "see you at school Monday?” He smirks and nods licking his lips "can’t wait.” I turn around and head towards the Home store smiling and blushing.
I look back and see Ethan looking at me smiling with two big bright mustard eyes. I rub my eyes and shake my head before looking at his eyes again but he’s turned around facing his back towards me. I walk towards the Home store and grab my phone when I get outside the store and smile reaching into my pocket grabbing the piece of paper with Cameron number on it before texting her ‘Hey It's Misty. You free tonight for milkshakes?’ I send the text and head into the store grabbing a trolley. I hear my phone ding and I grab it and see a new message from Cameron so I smile and open it ‘Hey Misty sorry but I am working all weekend but how’s Monday night? You can tell me how your first day at school went and we can go for dinner or something?’ I smile and text her back ‘Monday is perfect’ I look towards the food restaurants and smile before texting her again ‘PS you forgot to mention your brother is cute’ I smile sticking my phone back in my pocket before grabbing onto my trolley and pushing it up the aisles. I grab a few things for my new bedroom and a few school stationary bits before heading towards the checkout and approach an older looking boy at the checkout with these bright green eyes and black bed head hair wearing a black leather jacket. He smiles at me when I approach him and nods “good afternoon.” I smile “afternoon.” I stick my things up from my trolley onto the desk and he scans them and places them in a bag when my phone dings. I look at it and see a text message from Cameron ‘wait what? Brother? As in one? You know they are twins right?’ I laugh softly and the boy smiles and nods “boyfriend?” I look up and smile “what?” He shrugs his shoulders and smirks “who is making you laugh like that?” I laugh softly and take a deep breath “my friend Cameron.” He nods slowly and runs his hand through his hair “so no boyfriend?” He finishes packing my stuff and I hand him the card and he looks at it and coughs “Alex Lorenzo? Isn't that the sheriff?” I nod and smile “yeah.” I look down and smile "he is also my dad.” The boy swipes the card and nods slowly “ah.” He hands me it back and hands me the three bags and sticks the receipt into the bag without making eye contact “thank you.” I grab the bags and head towards the exit.472Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡGXLhaY6HqU
