As time goes by, so does my taste and interest in music. I'm quite a changeable person when it comes to the music I listen to. I suppose it mostly has to do with which story I'm currently in the middle of writing as well, and as that changes, I thought I'd give you some more song suggestions along the way!
As I'm sure is obviously, I'm currently in the middle of writing Z3R0, a Watch Dogs 2 fanfiction. That sort of story needs a bit of technology brought into the music I listen to also, which this song provides. A nice sense of staying grounded to earth. You can close your eyes to it and feel like you're being driven down a long stretch of highway in the middle of the night, the street lights passing overhead every so often. At least, they's what I picture, as the cover image suggests. A nice song to relax to as well. :)
If any of you are Destiny gamers, then you've probably heard this song by now. (Don't worry, no spoilers here.) I don't even play the games,, but my boyfriend looked up the trailer for the newest DLC, and I fell in love with this song the second I heard it. Something very somber and regretful, it makes you think that a character has given up, or at least is on their last leg. They can't go much further. Something to add a little tone to a sad scene.
I love having an arsenal of fast-paced and pounding songs in a playlist just in case I need inspiration for action scenes, and none do it better than any combat song from the Doom (2016) soundtrack. Mick Gordon was well deserving of his award for it. It's great stuff for anything that needs a kick of adrenaline, but it also is long and droning enough to play softly in the background to simply keep you focused. I find myself better at not zoning out when listening to this stuff, and I'm able to keep at writing longer in a single sitting. I know the games aren't for everyone, with all the demonic symbolism it can make people nervous, but there's nothing inherently wrong with the soundtrack. I'd highly recommend any and all songs from the game.
Very similar to the first entry in this post, I wanted to include my current favorite song as well. I can't get enough of this one. Something about it calms me down and takes me to a happy place. I can't really explain why, but I'm sure some of you could relate to that feeling. You love something but don't know why you love it, but it doesn't detract from the feeling of loving it. I'd recommend giving it a listen. It's a great song. :)
So, there were some more music suggestions from me. If you'd want me to do another of these, just let me know! I enjoy sharing some of my favorite songs. And let me know which ones you like, and I'll check them out!
