So far, so good. I walked into the kitchen and realised that no one was in here. I sighed out of relief and made my way to the cupboard to get a glass.
"Hey Claire." I jumped out of my skin, and the glass dropped out of my hand, but before it hit the ground, a hand reached out and grabbed it just in time. I looked up to see Shane holding the glass.
"Hi," I mumbled, then grabbed another glass out of the cupboard, placed it on the counter, turned to the fridge, and was about to grab the handle when Shane moved himself in the way of me getting to the fridge. I sighed.
"I never got to thank you, Claire," he said without any kind of emotion I could read on his face.
"What for?" I asked with curiosity.
"For not telling them where we live or our names for that matter, but I got to ask why didn't you do it?" He said it in a serious voice.
"Because I wouldn't want any harm to come to you all," I said nervously, and I looked down at my feet, not able to hide my red cheeks from forming.
"Well, thanks," Shane said, looking down at his feet too. I nodded in response, and he began to walk away when something came into my mind.
"Shane, did you talk to me last night?" I asked in a shy voice.
"No, I didn't. Why?" he said with a confused look on his face.
"I... erm, never mind," I said, pulling a fake small smile. He smiled back but still looked confused. He walked out the door, scratching his head. I shook my head and then opened the fridge to see nothing except bottles of blood. I slammed the fridge in frustration and sighed. Suddenly, his arms wrapped around my waist, making me flinch as his cold body pressed against me.
"Are you okay?" Jason asked.
"I am going to kill those three words!" I said I was still frustrated.
"I don't think that's possible, Claire, but you could try. I don't know if you will," he replied.
"I'm just sick of people asking me that. Sorry," I mumbled and turned around to face him, still having his arms wrapped around me tightly.
"You're not forgiven," he said in a serious tone, and I stared at him in bewilderment.
"You have to kiss me, and then I will," he said, and a grin spread across his face and a little smile played on mine.
"Okay then," I said without any hesitation. I slowly went closer to his lips, and he closed his eyes. I quickly kissed his cheek. He snapped his eyes open and saw a smile on my face.
"Nope, not having that," he said, and then suddenly his lips touched mine, making this electrical feeling go through me.
"God, you two get a room for once," Helen said, entering the kitchen, making me stop kissing him.
"Damn it," he sighed in frustration. I laughed.
"Blame Helen," I said, moving away from him reluctantly. I moved over to the counter and sat down on one of the kitchen's chairs.
"So what's on the agenda today?" I asked, swinging around on the chair, making Helen and Jason a big blur when someone stopped it, and then everything came back to normal.
"Hey!" I moaned, trying to move the chair out of Jason's grip.
"Stop it, you will make yourself throw up!" he said, then moved away, whispering something that sounded like humans. I grunted in response, then grabbed the corner of the counter to make me go faster, and then I began to spin on the chair again.
"Claire!" he sighed in frustration and was about to walk over when Helen stopped him.
"Oh, come on, it's not going to kill her; she is just spinning a chair for God's sake," Helen said with a little smile on her face.
"You go, girlfriend!" I shouted and raised my hand in the air, making me wince.
"Really, because I beg to differ," he said, then stopped the chair yet again. I sighed, and then I got up from the chair, and as I did, I swayed a bit, but Jason had already turned around not to notice. Good.
"So really, what are we doing today?" I asked while twiddling my fingers.
"You are going to bed like a good girl," he said, and then turned his head as Shane, Blake, and Ruby came in. Oh great, I thought he dumped her.
"Oh, the human is still here," she said in an annoying voice.
"Yeah, not dead yet, but it seems like they do like me!" I said trying not to shout at her.
"Huh, not yet anyway." She smiled at me and then turned around to Blake, who wasn't really concentrating on the argument. Someone stood beside me now, and I looked up to see Jason giving Ruy a death glare.
"Huh, so you're back with Blake? I thought he dumped you." I asked sweetly, but inside I wanted to rip her head off.
"Claire," Jason warned me, trying to step in front of me.
"I can fight my own battles, Jason," I hissed at him.
"You bitch!" I turned back around to see that Ruby had red eyes. Blake seemed to snap out of it, and then he grabbed Ruby's hand to try and calm her down, and it seemed to have worked.
"Huh, well, has Jason dumped you yet? Because I sure as hell would love to do him again." She sneered and then winked at Jason. I gasped without realising it and then shook my head. I already knew what Jason was like, and part of me already knew he would have done her, but it just seems more real when someone tells me.
"Right whatever. Have fun with Blake while it lasts," I snapped, and then before I knew it, pain rushed through me. I grabbed my stomach and winced in pain.
"Claire, I did-"
"It doesn't matter, Jason; it's in the past." I sighed, still in pain. He just nodded, and then suddenly he was gone.
"Great, all solved." I frowned and then grabbed the remote on the table when Jason grabbed it off me and sat on the sofa, and then he grabbed me by the hand, making me lie on him, and then he placed a blanket over me. I smiled and then rested my head on his chest. He didn't go after all, only to get me a blanket.
"So what do you want to watch?" he asked, which made me have a huge smile on my lips.
"Twilight, then the new moon, and then the eclipse," I said in a hurry without even thinking.
"Ha, right, the whole vampires can sparkle movies!" he laughed, which made me frown.
"Hey, it's better than nothing at all!" I said, which made him laugh more.
"Come on, Claire, it's so stupid, and that Edward guy, he is such a bad actor, and what's with his hair?" He laughed so loudly that he could blow the roof off the house.
"Right, I'm not talking to you. Now Edward is so much better than you. At least he drinks animal blood, not human blood." I said I was kind of regretting it, but he didn't seem to mind.
"Yeah, but he is eating bambi and aslan," he replied with a smile on his face. I laughed, and that made his smile go wider. He switched the TV on and started pressing buttons until Twilight loaded up.
"Come on, Edward!" I shouted with a smile on my face.
"God, I'm hurt. Sorry, I can't sparkle!" He said it with a fake hurt face on his face as he placed his hand on his chest. I slapped him on the chest and giggled.
"Sorry, but Eward beats you because he is so much better than you." I lied.
"Oh, really?" he said with a smile spreading on his lips. He bent down, grabbed me by the face, and kissed me on the lips, making me kiss him back. My heart began to beat faster, and my hands became sweaty. I raised my hands and wrapped them around his neck, and he kissed me with more force, making me moan, and then he broke it off.
"Hey, what are you doing?" I moaned, wanting to kiss him again.
"I thought I wasn't hot enough!" he said with a smirk on his face. Damn it.
"I erm was just-" I stuttered out, not sure what to say.
"Kissing me back because I'm so much better than Edward. Bet he can't kiss you like that when he is dying to drink your blood," he said with a satisfied look on his face.
"Fine, you are so much better." I sighed in defeat.
"Oh, because of my kissing? Which made you moan in delight, am I right?" He said it with a bigger smirk. I blushed and looked at the TV.
"Shut up," I mumbled, and I buried my head in his chest. He laughed, making his chest rumble. I closed my eyes and realised I was tired since I hardly got any sleep last night. Slowly, but shortly, I drifted off to sleep. While Jason was playing with my hair.
I sighed as I realised where I was. a forest, and that meant one person, Damon.
"Alright, Damon, come on out, wherever you are," I shouted.
"Hi Claire." That wasn't Damon. I slowly turned around to see a girl. I already knew who she was.
I gasped, "Eve?" I was uncertain about myself.
"Good, you know who I am!" she said, moving closer to me.
"How is this possible? Blake said that you were dead," I said, still shocked.
"Blake! That is who I need you to tell," she said in a hurried voice.
"What? Wait, how are you in my dream?" I asked.
"That's not important; just listen to me!" She said this while grabbing my shoulders really tightly.
"Oh, okay, I'm listening; then will you explain?" I was freaking curious about how the hell she was alive and what she was doing in my dream.
"No, I don't have time; they will know he isn't meant to know I'm alive, but I wanted to tell him for so long, but I had no way I could contact him until you," she rushed out, and then suddenly she began to disappear, and the forest around me did too.
"Wait, who doesn't know?" I said it in a hurry.
"Blake, he needs to know that I'm alive," she gasped out before disappearing.
"Eve!" I shouted, and then I woke up in shock. "Eve," I mumbled.
"Eve?" I turned around to see Shane standing at the door.
"Where is Jason?" I asked, wondering where the hell he was, as I realised that I was no longer laying on him, just on the sofa.
"You said Eve, what about Eve? And Jason is in the kitchen!"
"I need to tell him!" I said quickly, jumping off the sofa, and then I ran out of the living room, heading for the kitchen, when Shane stopped me.
"Get off me, Shane!" I said it in frustration.
He removed his arm quickly. "What about Eve?"
"She's alive," I quickly said, and then I opened the door, and then I saw the worst thing ever. Ruby had her arms wrapped around Jason, and she was kissing him, but it seemed more like he was kissing her.
