Dear Daisy,
Two days left. We practiced our dance at lunch together. I gotta say, it looks so, so bad. But at least it’s fun, right? We keep comparing our dance to the old ones to make ourselves feel better. Besides that, school was pretty normal. Daffi, Iris and I decided to relax and spend some time in the sun during our breaks. We mostly just fucked around. Since it was hot, we all filled our waterbottles up and splashed eachother. The teachers weren’t happy, to say the least. But it reminded me of when we first started here. Man, so much has happened at Seacrest.
After school, everyone met up at the centre. Mainly for me to say I won’t be able to come in as much, but to also spend time with everyone there. I ended up bringing my camera with me and teaching some of the kids how to use it. Some of the younger teens also took some pictures.
Once we were done there, we just walked around. Everyone went to their favourite spots in Louston. Dia took us to this cafe I didn’t know existed. It’s run by an Italian family and they make a bunch of stuff. Apparently Dia is a regular so they gave us some stuff for free (We tried to refuse, it didn’t work). It was really good though. Zinnia ended up taking us to a bar where they played their first gig. The place keeps photos of all their artists on a wall and we got to see mini Zinnia. They were adorable. I’m not sure why I was surprised that their hair wasn’t blue. I guess I just never imagined them with other coloured hair. Brennan took us to his food truck for some more stuff to eat. It was heavenly. Iris led us outside this bookshop; he apparently really liked it because they sell old books and he likes “smelling them”. He’s such an odd guy. It was closed, sadly. Mike did something unexpected if I’m being honest. I don’t really know him but I was really surprised when he took us to a cup shop. But it was a cup shop that lets you paint them. We all made friendship cups that we’ll pick up tomorrow too. I’m not sure why it surprised me but it did I guess. It was 6:40 by the time we finished so Daffi took us to his parents house for dinner. Aunt Mel was really excited to see him. She basically smothered him. I was smothered as well. It was a very weird experience. But she made a literal feast for us, I swear. She managed to feed all of us and still have leftovers. She also said she would teach me how to cook! We ate but didn’t spend super long there if I’m being honest. I wish we did, I love being there. It makes me feel less… scared.
I honestly wasn’t sure where to take the group at first. We just walked around until we reached the beach. Everyone sat on the sand and we watched the sun set. I’m scared to leave school, but at that moment I sort of knew it would be ok. I will always have these guys and you with me.
Love,
Kai
