Dear Daisy,
Even though I haven’t mentioned it much Amelia has been helping me a lot with everything going on. She’s a bit like another friend. But we’ve been going through a lot of strategies to help me and things I can focus on when I’m feeling like a giant popped balloon, really deflated.
Then I met up with Dia after school and gave her the photos. She looked ecstatic. You don't know how happy that made me. She even said she wanted to be friends and hopefully ask me to do another shoot for her again! I also learnt my photos would be in a magazine! A MAGAZINE! LIKE THAT PEOPLE WOULD SEE! It’s exciting. She said she would get me a copy to see my work. I can’t wait to see it. I also got paid by her. $150 I know it's not much but I want to be affordable you know?
I told Dhalia and she seemed excited. I think. Actually, she didn’t really seem to care. Maybe she’s just really busy like me? Though I told Daffi, Iris, Zinnia and Michalmass. I don’t know why I told Mike he was kinda just there. But their reactions made me smile so much. Zinnia stood up and hugged me while also threatening to turn me into a frog if I didn’t show them they need to let go of the frog thing though. I asked once out of curiosity. Daffi also squealed and hugged me. A very "Daffi" thing, but I love him for it. Even though he doesn't say much you can just feel what he wants to say. Iris just said congrats and how awesome it was, since he couldn’t really stand up and hug me. I went over and hugged him though. Mike was a bit weird since we don’t know each other too well. He just patted me on the back and said “congrats mate,” it was cool though. He’s very ‘manly’ not in a bad way but he seems like he would be one of those guys on those firefighter calendars that your mom always used to collect. I actually haven’t seen your parents in a while. I asked mom and she said they moved to be closer to everyone else while mourning. I guess it makes sense. But I sorta miss them.
Holidays are soon though. Two weeks to do nothing. It sounds peaceful. I plan on spending it catching up on sleep and maybe getting rid of the bags under my eyes. They even got so bad I had to wear more makeup than usual. Crazy right? Year twelve does weird things to a guy.
