I had a day off since my parents had to do some weird stuff alone. Daffi and I decided to hang out together! He suggested we go to the beach since it was a hot day and it was such a good idea.

We went to get some ice cream first and it felt like heaven. With the soft serve melting on my tongue and it seemed to solve all my problems.
After that, we walked down to the beach and I swear it was so perfect. The water wasn’t freezing, and the sand wasn’t overly hot. We swam and played in the water for a bit. I even found some fish. I felt like a child just being able to enjoy things without worrying. I felt free and happy.
Then I think I also made a friend. Her name is Mark! She saw that we forgot to bring snacks and let us use some of hers. She had brought my all-time favourite chocolate, peanut M&Ms! She had brought these weird lollies from wherever she was from. They were called “Gushers” I wasn’t a fan. But Mark was nice. She was there by herself so we all hung out on the beach as carefree teenagers enjoying life.
Mark had to head off early but Daffi and I stayed to watch the sunset. It was so pretty. I even took a picture of Daffi (I remembered to bring my camera) and he looked beautiful. With the sun setting and his smile. I swear I would remember this forever.
