Dear Daisy,
It’s done and over. It was horrible. But what isn’t with our school. Or well it wasn’t the worst I just want to be dramatic. Iris didn’t come so it was just Daffi, Dahlia and I. Also known as super awkward. Luckily we were split into house groups at the start but then I was alone. I ended up talking to some people in my art and homeroom class. It wasn’t too bad but the grass was wet and it was cold. Thank god for sport’s uniforms.
Dahlia ended up spending time with some other people in the year. I still don’t know how to deal with stuff like this. Daffi also seemed relived for some reason I guess he didn’t want to deal with any tension. I feel bad for him. So I’m happy it was just us two.
We walked around to whatever activities we could when it was out the allotted time. I did the 100m sprint, high jump, triple jump and javelin. I only tried javelin because Daffi was doing it too and it seemed fun to throw a big pointy stick. I ended up coming third in the sprint and second in high jump. I was surprised but it felt nice to get the ribbon.
It was really just the two of us all day. We flitted between a few different friend groups but at some point, we just sat on the grass and ate food. Brennan had made Daffi the cutest snack. They were these frog donuts as well as what I think are bear croissants. The bears seemed a bit dismembered. My idea is that he and Brennan had a baking date. It made me envious. They seem to have such a cute relationship. Either way, Daffi gave me some of the croissants to try and he blushed really hard when I say it was really good.
Nothing else really happened. I enjoyed it though. My last athletics carnival.
Love,
Kai
