Dear Daisy,
Today is the day. I won’t have to tolerate this house tonight. Instead, I’ll be free even if it’s just for one night. Want to know why? Today is my sleepover with Daffi. At seventeen I’m acting quite childish. But who wouldn’t be excited to have a sleepover with a new friend?
I told my mom this morning and she seemed to forget that I had asked and she said yes. She was really upset and angry for a bit. She hit me too. I now have this annoying bruise to cover on the back of my neck. She said I left her alone with a monster. I felt kind of bad. But I really wanted to go so I’m sorta just putting it in the back of my mind. Hopefully, Daffi doesn’t notice the bruise I wouldn't want to make him more anxious. I’ll continue this once the sleepover is done!

Okay, it’s over. It was so fun, I felt so safe in Daffi’s home. He lives in a two-story house with yellow bricks. There’s a nice green fence along the outside and you can see how well his front yard is taken care of. Unlike mine, I try my best but it’s really hard. Anyways back to his house. They have rows of different flowers along the front they even had you there!
Oh, I haven't even started on his parents. I wish they were mine. Both of them make me feel like I can relax. They both look like they are in their 40s. His mom has bright red hair that goes down to her waist with brown eyes, while his dad has a massive handlebar moustache and those amazing bright blue eyes he looks like those comic dads. The both of them are so happy together. Daffi also has a younger brother but I don’t think he was home. Apparently, he was over at a friend's house I want to meet him one day!
I haven’t told you about Daffis' room, have I? It’s covered in bookcases, he even has a ladder which I thought was epic! It reminds me of a garden. He has vines hanging off some shelves and then this wooden desk in the middle of two of the bookcases. He also had a pride flag hanging on his door. I loved it. I once saw something saying that a room is how someone expresses someone and it's the real person. I had never agreed with an article more. The room perfectly expressed him.
We played Uno a few times to which I learnt that Daffi was super competitive but sucked at playing the game. His Mom and Dad also made dinner together. It was like pasta with bacon bits in it. It was delicious I felt bad going for seconds but Mis Valerious seemed happier that I wanted more so it wasn’t too bad. We then studied for a bit and then slept. Daffi had told me not to bring anything so I borrowed some pj’s from him. The was a top with a Dad joke on it (I learnt that Daffi loves dad jokes) he took a million pictures of me. Then we went to school in the morning. That’s it. It may have been short but I loved it. I want to do it again someday.
Love,
Kai
