The man with dark hair stood before a mirror, his hands resting on the sink as he examined his reflection.
The once short strands of his dark hair had grown considerably, pouring down to his shoulders.
Running his fingers through his now prominent beard, he couldn't help but reflect on how quickly his hair had grown since the first time he went nuke on Moonfour.
Letting out a sigh, he reached for a clipper on a nearby table and began carefully shaving his facial hair. After a few minutes, he set the clipper aside and washed his hands, then proceeded to cleanse his face.
As he looked back at his reflection, his eyebrows shot up in surprise. Despite tying his hair up into a man bun, the reflection in the mirror remained frozen, unchanged since he had dropped the clipper.
He waved his hands around, but the reflection still didn't change.
Suddenly, the eyes of the man in the mirror turned bright blue and Andy could swear he saw it move while he didn't. His doubt was immediately answered when the image inched forward and spoke. "Hi, Rohan."
"What the f---" he moved a few steps back while cautiously looking at the man in the mirror.
It was him, it was the exact reflection, he was staring at his reflection, only that his hair was still down.
"Who the hell are you?"
The man in the mirror smiled. "I'd say you won't believe me if I told you like the first time we met, but I think you've gone through and seen things worse that will make this a stroll in the park."
"We've met before?"
"Yeah we have, don't you remember?" He probed. "That day in your backyard when I first traveled to the past."
"You're me?"
The man in the mirror chuckled. "Duhh, wasn't it obvious?"
Andy stood straight and took some steps closer to the mirror. "Have you come back again to stop me from entering the Cherry Parlour?"
"Oh no, that's not it, I don't think changing the past now will help my case."
"Why?"
"I'll just be creating more timelines if I do it again, creating bigger problems for myself and every other me out there."
The dark-haired man placed his hands on the sink and leaned forward. "There are multiple timelines?"
"Thanks to us for constantly traveling back to get a better future. I've come to realize and accept that some moment cannot just be changed, it is meant to happen--- like the day we entered the Cherry Parlour."
He shook his head. "Time is fucked up, Rohan. You try to mess with it, it'll fuck you up."
"What happened to you after you went back?"
"Nothing," the Rohan in the mirror sighed. "I still entered the Cherry Parlour, I got into Department H, I got the Z-Syrup and everything continued the way it was but worse. Now both Winter Weir and Earth are searching the entire galaxy for me. They've been sending messages to every planet in the Milky Way Galaxy, claiming I am a human weapon on a rampage that need to be stopped."
"I'm sorry I didn't listen."
"It's fine really, you don't need to disturb yourself with what I am going through, you have your own time to focus on."
The dark-haired man looked at the clipper on the sink before turning back to the man in the mirror. "Then why are you here?"
"I just wanted to see how things worked out for you and to warn you."
"Well I wouldn't say life is good, but it isn't so bad either," he stated. "I made it to Earth, and I'm staying at Serenova Isle, the people of Earth took me in."
His face turned into an indifferent look. "You made it to Earth?"
"Yeah?" Andy mumbled, not sure if it was the right answer to give.
"Your timeline has changed, we are not in the same time thread anymore, it's different," the man in the mirror said with a panicked tone.
"What does that mean?"
"I never made it to Earth," the Andy in the mirror started. "While we were escaping Miss Havishma, I tried to do everything myself so that we'll all make it out alive but instead, I got under so much pressure that I ended up blowing up everyone and the whole of Department H, but you made it to Earth."
"I did."
"The dark-haired man in the mirror slipped his hands into his hair and groaned loudly. "You changed your timeline, which means there is hope for me too. If I can communicate with you through a separate timeline then that means…" he paused and turned to the dark-haired man who now had his hands wrapped around his chest.
The man in the mirror moves forward and puts his right hand up. "I can still live a happy life even without changing the time we went into the Cherry Parlour."
He chuckled and the image in the mirror turned back to his reflection. The dark-haired man furrowed as he looked at his reflection in the mirror. "What the hell just happened?"
Before he could have enough time to fully comprehend what had just happened, a knock on the door interrupted his thoughts.
"You okay in there?" A voice which he recognized to be Ada's asked.
He sighed and put on his shirt before pulling the door open. "What's up?"
"I thought you had passed out considering how long you've been in there," she said while folding her hands around her chest.
"I'm fine, just got lost in my thoughts." He shoots her a smile before walking past her.
The five of them were given a two-story house to live in while they stayed at the Isle. The dark-haired man followed an enticing scent into the kitchen.
His brows shot upwards as he saw Jesselyn cutting some potatoes into smaller pieces. "You are cooking again?" He asked.
She turned to him with a smile on her face. "Why? You don't think I'm up for it because of the last time I tried?"
"I didn't say that."
Nura entered the room with a crate of wine in her hand. "Are you done with the potatoes?" She asked while setting the wine on the counter.
"Almost."
"Oh hey Andy," she greeted as he noticed the dark-haired man standing in one corner of the room. "Did you sleep well?"
He replied with a nod before turning back to Jesselyn. "So you're helping her out?"
She stopped and turned to him with a frown lingering on her face. "How do you know she's not the one helping me?"
"Come on," he gave her a sarcastic look and she shook her head and turned away.
"Fair enough."
"You'll get there too, I believe in you." He gently tapped her shoulder before turning his attention to the brunette who arranged the wine in the fridge.
"I thought you only process and comprehend complex information, I didn't know cooking was also your strong suit."
"Are you kidding? Cooking was among the first things I perfected when I was created," she revealed. "Many geniuses of the kitchen were hired to see it that I learned how to cook, I did, and even got better than all those who taught me. My dish is even beyond that of those with a 'Master Chef' title."
The former storm agent nods. "Wow, you sound like a completely different person than you were yesterday."
"I said the same thing," Jesselyn chipped.
Nura smiled. "Thank you, we all try to get better with every tick of the clock."
"But how did you get all the ingredients you needed? Is there a farm on the island?" The dark-haired man questioned.
The Artificial Intelligent being nodded. "We have a small area where we practice farming, but I sent a message to Yvonne last night to send over most of the ingredients I needed for the dish, the wine was also from her."
"It's so thoughtful of you to cook for us, Nura."
Jesselyn turned to her fellow Weir with her brows crooked and her hands up. "Really? Why didn't I get any compliments?"
"I think she's jealous," Nura stated.
"She is. But really though, it's sweet that you decided to cook for us."
She tilted her head to the side and smiled. "Of course. I want your stay here to be one you'll never forget," she said. "Tell you what, why don't you go ahead and relax for a bit until the food is ready."
"Certainly."
"You're unbelievable." Jesselyn shook her head.
