The dark-haired man and Hailey stopped. They both raised their head to the sky as a red energy shield suddenly began to engulf the entire island.
"What is happening?"
Hailey looked down at the tablet she was holding and let out a painful exclamation. "Oh, come on…"
"What is it?"
"Someone is tampering with the Motherboard," she revealed. "They are forcing their way through the firewall, so this is the island's way of defense."
"Trapping everyone on it?"
Hailey nod. She leaned forward and grabbed onto the dark-haired man's shirt. "An… no… Rohan, you need to get me to the Motherboard before it's too late."
"I know… I know you don't want to use your powers because it hurts you, but please, Rohan, we have to save this Island."
"Why?" He queried.
"Why do we have to save the island? This whole attack is Yvonne, she wants to destroy this island for 'greater things' Isn't that what you say?"
Hailey's face falls as she lets go of the dark-haired man's shirt. The dark-haired man cupped her face in his hands. "Hailey," he started. "You don't belong here, Earthlings will never shake hands with a Weir to promote friendship, it's all politics. You need to…" The dark-haired man stopped as he realized everything around him had slowed.
He turned his head to the side to see an AI only inches away from him. The AI's eyes were red and it had its hands outstretched, aiming for him. Rohan pushed Hailey back and turned to attack the AI, but once everything went back to normal, it self-destructed and the wave sent him crashing into a building.
"Andy!!" Hailey began to run toward the dark-haired man but an AI landed in front of her and sent her flying back with a punch.
"THREAT DETECTED," the artificially controlled being stated before charging at Hailey who coughed out blood.
Ada appeared between the AI and Hailey. She grabbed the former and drove her spike hand into its chest. She dragged it upwards until it split the AI's head into two.
Just as the lavender blue-haired girl kicked the AI down. A new threat appeared in front of her and sent her flying back with a punch.
Four more AIs landed on the scene and started walking toward Hailey who dragged herself away.
The dark-haired man raised his head to see the AI approaching Hailey. He winced in pain as just the thought of using his powers made him ache. He grabbed his chest and groaned as the pain continued to escalate and flashes of moments he knew were the future began to cloud his vision.
His right eye turned bright blue and sparks of electricity flew around him causing the AIs around to turn their attention to him.
The former Storm 01 swiftly blasted his way through the AIs and grabbed Hailey and the lavender blue-haired woman before taking flight into the air.
He flew to an area with no AI before hurling Ada onto the ground. The dark-haired man landed slowly and dropped the unconscious Hailey on the ground. He got up on his feet and clenched his fist before turning to Ada. "Explain."
"Ahh…" Ada groaned as she dragged herself up. "Oh my… what happened to your eyes?"
"I said… explain."
The lavender woman sighed and stood straight. "I don't know what you want from me…" Before she could finish her sentence or draw another breath, her back slammed against the wall behind her and the dark-haired man was gripping her collar. "I say again… explain."
"What the fuck do you want me to say? Huh," she started. "Would you believe me if I said I do not know about anything that's happening?"
Ada shut her eyes and sighed a sigh that was nearly a groan. "All these years and you still haven't learned how to stop yourself from being taken over by your rage."
The dark-haired man eased up his grip on Ada's collar as he listened to her speak. "And it seems you already have it set in your mind that we have something to do with this."
"It's not her you should be questioning," Hailey's voice came in from behind. The Weir let go of Ada's collar and turned to Hailey.
"Hailey, are you okay?"
She replied with a nod. "I've figured out what is happening," she revealed. "The Red Dot group has a copy of the virus that I made to stop Jacob on the island."
"What do you mean? How did they get it?"
"I do not know how it ended up in their possession. The virus I made… it is difficult when creating it, but after that process is passed, altering it would be as easy as an individual changing their mind."
"How could you tell that is what is happening?"
"From the behavior of the AIs," she replied. "Once the virus is inserted, you'll get access to every code, which would allow the individual to change the code to however they want." Hailey put her index finger up and took out her mobile device from her pocket. She tapped through it for a couple of seconds before letting out a sigh of frustration. "The Red Dot group has already gotten into the Motherboard and changed the AI base code. Right now, every AI that is connected to the Motherboard sees humans as a threat."
Suddenly, an AI flew up and smashed itself into the energy shield around the island. The trio looked up in the direction. "What are they doing now?"
More AIs flew up and began to crash into the shield which caused them to explode on impact.
"I believe right now they are sensing a huge amount of 'threat' outside the Serenova."
"Wait," the dark-haired man chipped. "Didn't you made the virus to only destroy the Powerball…" he let his words trail off and buried his face in his hand as he figured out his answer before he completed his question.
Hailey nodded. "The Powerball was never one... I made three different versions of the Powerball; you know about the one Jacob used, this island has one, and the last one was placed in Eder's sword…"
"Three Powerballs? Eder's sword? There is a Powerball in Eder's sword?"
"Mmm." Hailey shook her head yes.
"Oh no."
"What is it?" The dark-haired man inched closer to Ada.
"Right now Jesselyn is fighting to hold Eder off," she revealed.
The dark-haired man furrowed. "Hold Eder off, why?"
"He sides with the Red Dot group and apparently wants them to succeed."
Without waiting to hear anything else, the former Department H agent took off. The lavender blue-haired woman sighed before turning her attention to Hailey. "How can we stop this?"
Hailey managed to drag herself up and walked up to where Ada was. She looked up at the AIs as they continued to blast the energy shield. "I just need a laptop," she stated. "But even if we stop this…"
"Do not think about that. Worry about what is happening now and how you are going to fix it."
"But Yvonne is…"
"Pondering the future makes you lose sight of what is." Ada placed her hand on Hailey's shoulder. "Let's find you a working computer."

Somewhere in the west of London.
The six Winter Weir warships stopped in the air. A small part of one of the warships opened and a smaller spaceship slowly descended on the soil of Earth.
The Winter Weir warships hovered in an area that had a small cleared spot surrounded by large trees making it so that only the smaller spaceship could make a descend.
Just as the spaceship reached the ground, a rapid whirling filled the air and a helicopter came into sight.
The trees around began to dance to the rhythm of the wind as more choppers and other Earth spaceships arrived at the scene.
Three Ealien cars also drove out from the many trees and stopped at the open spot. The sound of the clicking of guns reverberated through the area despite the rapid movement of the chopper fan and the noise from the spaceships.
The alien spaceship that landed on Earth opened and a pale-skinned, blue-eyed woman stepped out of the ship. She had dark hair which was styled in an octopus haircut and wore a blue oversuit over her outfit.
One of the Ealien cars opened and Yvonne walked out of it. She clenched her fist as she watched the woman ever so slowly step down from the ship. "Havishma," she mumbled.
Miss Havishma noticed the many armed soldiers hiding out in the trees and a smile slowly crept up her lips. "Now this is what I call a proper welcome."
