Rohan opened his eyes again and began shaking and kicking, trying to break the glass container he was in but still couldn't. He struggled for a few more minutes before his vision started to darken again, but this time, instead of the usual darkness, he opened his eyes to find himself in the middle of the road just after leaving the warehouse where he had a conversation with the man that claimed to be the older him from the future when he was a kid.
"What… what the hell?" He asked himself, looking around the place. He had been in such a situation before, but that time seemed different. He couldn't feel any part of his body but he had the senses to hear, see, taste, and feel a hand that held his.
The dark-haired man immediately reacted and pulled himself away. Involuntarily standing in a defensive position. He eased up when he saw a familiar figure staring back at him.
"Jesselyn?" He stuttered.
"Hey, friend," she waved.
He furrowed. The young Coco dislikes calling people his friends. He hates the word and considers it a waste of time. "Why can't we just be… us?" He used to argue. He's hung out with Jesselyn a couple of times, and no matter how much she tried, he refused to change his childish view. And being in that moment again, the dark-haired man couldn't seem to figure out the reason he had that view.
"What are you doing here?"
"You promised to take me to the Cherry parlor, remember?" She reminded, blinking her eyes that had the color of the sun.
He stared at her for a moment before answering. "Sure, let's go."
He was scared but also wanted to do it. So they both made their way to the shop that wasn't far away from his house.
They both stepped into the shop. As usual, there weren't many people there. The duo walked up to the machine and poured the ice cream. After taking hers, Jesselyn turned to see the young Coco pouring all the flavors together.
"What are you doing?" She laughed. "Is that even allowed?"
He faced her and took a huge bite. He then covered his mouth and squinted. She laughed harder as she watched him. He wasn't only covering his mouth because of the flavors but also from the ice cream headache. He joined her to laugh after getting over it.
She then attempted to take out of his, but he pulled it away. She puts on her pity face but it doesn't affect him as he continues to take his ice cream without looking at her.
"Come," she said, pulling him further into the shop.
Giggling, they ran into a different room in the shop.
"What is this place?" He questioned.
"It's an arcade…"
"They don't tell people about this place," she revealed. "The games are free. They won't stop you from entering as long as you buy some ice cream when you get in."
The young Coco looked around. The only people in the room, were four kids, about the same age as the two of them sitting at the edge of the room staring at them. And a man, standing with arms crossed just a few steps to their right.
"It was closed five years ago."
[No way... It can't be] the dark-haired man thought as he watched the moment unfold before his eyes, but this time, with a much clearer view. He couldn't believe it. He was witnessing his past unfold in detail before his eyes.
"How did you know about it?"
"My father. "
She pulled him to one of the machines there, but he wasn't paying attention to her. His heart was racing, and fast. He remembered the words he was told.
The dark-haired man looked around, trying to turn his body but it didn't work. He looked up at the man standing with his arms crossed, and there was no doubt about it, it was the 28th Electro agent, Joe Anthem. He could also recognize the other kids in the room: Teela, Mars, Coval, and Tzal, the four he had the Z-candidate training with.
A hand tapped his shoulder and the dark-haired boy veered around to see who it was. A pale-skinned lady slowly, and softly injected a syringe into his neck, rendering him unconscious, but the dark-haired man could still see and feel all that transpired before him.
Jesselyn opened her mouth to scream but Electro 28 quickly grabbed and covered her mouth before she could make any sound. He also stabbed a syringe into her neck and it only took a few seconds for her to fall unconscious.
[Jesselyn… I… I cannot believe it.]
"What do I do with this one?" The electro agent queried.
Havishma tilted her head to look at the entrance before turning back to her partner. "We can't let her be or she'll speak of this to others, we don't have a choice."
"Understood."
Moments later, another group of the Electro agents marched into the arcade and helped Havishma and her partner move the kids out and into the Department H spaceship.
Slowly, the dark-haired man also started to feel his consciousness slipping away. He blinked to try to keep himself awake but as he did, he was back inside the container, but this time with no liquid in it. He continued to breathe heavily as he tried to swallow in everything he had just seen.
The dark-haired man looked around the room he was in, taking in his environment until he locked eyes with a blue agent who seemed to be speaking into a device he was holding.
"Subject just appeared back into his container," he said. "He has been gone for at least a minute and is now suddenly back."
Sparks of electricity began to spread around the container and the room as the dark-haired man locked eyes with the blue agent. His right eye turned bright blue as the electricity became even more intense.
The blue agent took some step back while still recording the whole thing. "He --- he seems to now be immune to the Z-syrup neutralizer and…" before he could finish, the dark-haired man released the energy around his body, sending shockwaves that destroyed the container and other equipment in the room while also sending the Blue agent flying back into a wall.
The agent took little impact but when he looked up again, the dark-haired man was nowhere to be found. He quickly tapped on his watch, sending an alarm to all the other agents on the ship.
Meanwhile, Rohan took off a jacket from an unconscious white agent and put it on. He continued walking forward while tying his hair back in a bun. As he took a corner, he walked past a purple-haired Storm agent. Rohan recognized the man's hair and his brows shifted into a frown while he clenched his fist angrily.
He quickly turned to see the purple-haired man also thinking the same thing as he was but he was faster and stronger. Rohan grabbed him by the collar and pinned him to the wall beside them.
"Eek…" he groaned, and quickly put his hands up in surrender. "Wait, Rohan, wait."
The dark-haired man stopped with his hand in the air about to descend it on the purple-haired man.
"Before you… kill me, I want you to know that I never wanted to do it, I tried to stop myself, but I didn't have a choice --- if I hadn't, Miss Havishma would have killed my sister."
"Really?" Rohan replied. "Well, I hope your sister forgives me…"
"Hey," a familiar voice called out. The dark-haired man turned in the direction of the voice to see Percy aiming a large gun at him. He shot and the attack sent the former Storm 01 back into a wall.
Percy grinned and threw the gun to the ground before pulling out a saber. "If isn't the mighty Storm 01. Oh, how I've longed for this day."
Rohan groaned and picked himself up from the ground.
Storm 05 inched closer, swinging his saber continuously. "Are you happy?" He questioned. "Because of you, she's in the condition she's in now. Every fucking time, it's always about you. But you never gave her time, you never even looked at her, why did she even like you, just why?"
Storm 05 lunged the saber forward but the dark-haired man grabbed his hand. "You are right, I have waited for this moment." The dark-haired man hit him with a tremendous punch that sent him flying distance back.
Erins pulled out his gun and began firing at Rohan but the dark-haired man ignored him and continued towards Percy. He grabbed the fifth Storm agent, raising him off his feet before smashing him onto a wall. Rohan clenched his fist and hit the man with a right. His opponent attempted a punch of his own but the dark-haired man grabbed his hand and pinned it back on the wall before slapping him with his forearm.
Rohan launched his knee into the ginger-haired man's belly then hurled him across to the other side, immediately following with an uppercut that caused Percy to spit out blood. He picked up the battered agent, raising him to his face level. "That was for Ishary."
"H-how did…" Percy stuttered.
"I have seen everything you all did and the things you should have done," he said before dropping him on the ground. The dark-haired man turned to Erins who was still standing and zapped him with a bolt of electricity until he crashed on the ground motionless.
He turned to continue forward but stopped as a group of Red agents blocked his way. Rohan made his battle stance, ready for whatever was to come, but when the sound of a gunshot opened, it was the red agents that fell. He looked up from the agents to see Sox standing and aiming her weapon at him.
"Sox."
She does not answer him. She searched the dead agent's body and took out a key card before approaching the dark-haired man. Sox stared at him for a moment before extending her hand to pass the key card to him. "It opens every door, including the intensive care section where Jesselyn is."
She moved aside after handing the key to him but as he walked past, she pulled him back and pressed her lips on his. They stayed that way for a moment before she pulled away.
Rohan held her stare for a few seconds before moving forward.
