As the ground beneath Eder ruptured, a high-speed train emerged, whisking away the maroon-haired man. "This wasn't what I anticipated," Eder muttered under his breath. In a daring move, he leaped from the top of the train, summoning his sword while descending through the air. With precise timing, Eder caught the sword and hurled it towards the ground. Upon impact, the blade emitted a powerful green wave, propelling the bald man backward and slowing Eder's descent.
Despite feeling a sharp snap in his ankle upon landing, Six pressed on undeterred, gripping his weapon tightly as he charged forward.
"We have to help him," Venus said. She attempted to rush in but the dark-haired man held her back.
"You said Jacob can control anything that runs on code. If you go in there, you'll be in big trouble."
"Well, I can't just stand and watch. I have to do something. Imagine the number of people that have already lost something to this fight," she stated. "We have to stop this fight before it destroys this city. The longer it continues, the more people will be hurt." She unhanded herself and rushed into the fight scene.
The former Storm agent let out a pained groan, his hand instinctively reaching to press against his temple with his index and middle finger. His surroundings began to blur, and the echoes of the explosion reverberated in his head. Suddenly, faint screams reached his ears, intensifying the throbbing in his head. Ever since the last time he unleashed his destructive powers, his visions had become increasingly chaotic, accompanied by violent pain whenever he tapped into his abilities. Consequently, he only utilized his powers when absolutely necessary.
Collapsing to the ground, the dark-haired man let out a piercing scream, his head tilting back to face the sky as another vision flooded his mind. However, this time, the images were fragmented and unclear. He caught mere glimpses of a ravaged environment, lifeless bodies scattered around, and Jacob's agonized screams.
As the dark-haired man rose from the ground, he turned towards the ongoing battle involving the three individuals. Jacob halted Venus in her tracks, swinging his blade to split her head, but Eder intercepted just in time, narrowly missing by a mere inch as the bald man swiftly pulled back.
"I have to stop this," Andy mumbled to himself. His right eye began to glow again but this time with blue marks like veins appearing from the bottom of his eyes to a few inches down and the top part of his eyes as well. "I have to change it --- I will change the future." The dark-haired man flew up into the sky with sparks of electricity all around him. He landed between the two sides and sent them both flying back with a strong shockwave.
Without hesitation, he sprinted towards Jacob Marksman, delivering a devastating punch that launched him crashing through multiple buildings.
Jacob swiftly rose to his feet as soon as he made contact with the ground, charging towards the dark-haired man. As he approached, he skillfully evaded another punch, his left hand splitting open to reveal a concealed dagger, which he swiftly aimed towards Andy's throat.
Despite seeing the move Jacob was about to make with his right eye, the enraged Weir allowed it to happen regardless. The cut inflicted by Marksman instantly healed the moment it was applied.
The dark-haired man delivered a powerful kick that propelled his opponent crashing into a nearby building. He bolted forward and grabbed Jacob, hurling him towards Eder who instinctively planted a cut in the target's chest.
Venus also landed an uppercut, throwing him towards the dark-haired man who forced him to his knee with a kick to the back of his knee before landing a perfect right to Jacob's jaw that sent parts of his face flying.
Amid the relentless barrage of attacks, Jacob refused to stay down and summoned his remaining strength to throw a right hook at Andy. However, Andy's agile reflexes allowed him to effortlessly dodge the feeble punch, creating an opening for Eder to stab the syringe-like device and swiftly severed the agent's arm. Sensing an opportunity, Venus swiftly advanced and delivered a powerful snap kick, forcefully propelling the bald man backward.
They had the upper hand and the trio skillfully cornered the former Ghost agent, subjecting him to a barrage of relentless strikes. Each blow landed with precision, causing the former agent to writhe in pain. In a desperate attempt to turn the tables, the agent let out an agonized scream that triggered a surge of electricity which the now partially damaged Powerball had been amassing from the dark haired man, unleashing a powerful shockwave. This unexpected release of energy sent the two Earthlings staggering backward, momentarily disoriented, but the Z-candidate remained unaffected, standing resolute amidst the chaos.
He collided his right hand, which was coated with electricity, with Jacob's jaw, sending him far back into another building. A loud explosion filled the air and the building collapsed into another nearby building.
The electricity that surged around the dark-haired man's body calmed as he ever so slowly walked up to where Jacob was.
Jacob tried to stand but crashed back on the ground. His body started to tremble and his voice glitched as he spoke. "I… jus-t wanted -- t… spend time wit… family."
"It… never… should…have been thi... Look aroun --- you caused… more damag --than…"
He managed to stagger up on his feet. "I should have… this was… not what I wanted ---this was not how I saw this play out after my calculations!"
The dark-haired man's eyes turned back to normal. "No," he exclaimed as he looked around the place. It was just as he saw in his vision. The sky had turned dark from the smoke that was emitted from the burning buildings.
Destroyed buildings, roads, cars, and bodies, without their knowledge, the catastrophic battle had moved completely from Baker Park to the once beautiful and technological city of London, turning it into a horrifying battlefield.
Jacob walked a few steps closer to the dark-haired man. "I… hope you never forget… th ---everything that happened here today… all the lives that were lost..." He raised his index finger and placed it on Andy's chest. "Is. On. You... You killed… the…"
Before he could finish his words, Eder placed a gun on Jacob's head and blasted his core out. He slipped the gun back into its holster and turned to the dark-haired man who looked dejected. "Come on."
Andy's feet lifted off the ground, propelling him higher into the sky. As he gazed downward, he beheld the devastation he had wrought, the lives he had impacted, and the suffering he had inflicted upon countless innocents. The sight was undeniably dreadful, yet inexplicably, he found himself lacking remorse.
