"Someone care to explain why I come up to go to my room, smell the strong scent of blood, to find. . .this."
Kaiden and I quickly heard Jarred's voice and turned to look at him standing in the black marble doorway, it always made me giggle in a way that it was one of the rare doorways in this house that he didn't almost hit his head on in this house.
"Jarred!. . . who's blood is that I'm-" Rickey stopped in the doorway and stared at Ben and I, I quickly tried to cover myself more as my eyes widened in horror.
The thin black fabric suddenly felt see-through as the large room started to feel suddenly not so small.
"Well then, good thing you have a spacious bathroom. . ." Kaiden spoke.
"I made a blood promise. Not that it's any of your business." I spoke bluntly, shoving past the three of them.
Fucking coming into my chambers, the nerve of these three men. . .
"You what?! Does my brother know what you're doing?!" Jarred yelled as I heard him follow me and I quickly went into the walk-in shutting and locking the glass doors, barricading myself.
I heard him huff.
"I, made a blood promise. No, he does not know." I quickly grabbed a white tank top, putting it on, feeling the fabric squeeze my body, and shimmied into a black pair of shorts.
"You're so. . . aggressive. . ." I heard Kaiden mumble, clearly annoyed that we were interrupted in our conversation.
I unlocked the door and stepped out, shoving Jarred out of the way again.
Please, what does he think he's going to really do stop me?
I thought.
"If you keep running your fucking mouth, I'm going to break it for what you've done!"
Kaiden raised his hands in surrender, with a child like grin appearing on his face, that was almost menacing.
All in all, you could tell he was as calm as ever.
"Though, as appealing as that fight may sound, thanks to your sister I am unable to harm you." Kaiden simply spoke.
I smirked looking at Jarred.
Jarred's face somewhat softened, but his face still looked annoyed.
"Simply wouldn't be a fair fight"
I shifted my eyes to Rickey, who seemed to be quiet leaning against the wall farthest from everyone else, watching me intently with a smile in his eyes as if he was witnessing something rare.
"What is that supposed to mean? Luna what the fuck is going on?!" Jarred stated marching towards me.
His demeanor suddenly changing again to frustration, the black slowly consuming his eyes.
The door burst open, Alexander quickly separated Jarred and I by pushing me behind him protectively.
Jesus. I thought this was my room.
"I feel like you need to calm down, and remember who you're talking to. . . I thought this situation would have been contained, but apparently you need to be reminded of your place in this family."
Alexander warned.
Although Alexander may not be as big as him, he certainly had the firmness of putting others in there place. Even if it was Jarred.
Jarred scoffed and looked back at me for an answer still.
"Kaiden and I, have an agreement in which he will do whatever it takes, to protect our family."
Jarred's eyes looked over to Kaiden, his eyes narrowing.
"And why would you do such a simple promise, with nothing in return?"
Kaiden just grinned before he spoke;
"She has no reason not to trust me now, and I am then allowed more freedom when I'm in your household, instead of being watched like a poisonous snake. so as you can see if we were to fight, it would be unfair. Though she is also not able to harm me. . . so not truly nothing in return."
"Kaiden, be aware we are also under strict orders to keep Ben safe in case of a problem, so that will not be entirely be true." Alexander voiced.
"Believe me, I do not worry about any such thing. . ." Kaiden murmured aggravated.
"Fine. . . still, it smelled like you had been slaughtered when I came in, why did no one else pick up on that, hmm?"
"I was indeed, just down the hall was I not? I was listening to their conversation, therefor knowing she was safe and sound."
Alexander paused.
"My duty is to, sometimes, just observe and only interfere, when it is absolutely necessary, this was not one of those times."
Jarred scoffed.
"Well, that is until you barged in and started arguing."
"Well, if none of you mind, I'd like to leave this tense and stressful place now, I will see you soon my dear." Kaiden said as he walked out of the room, slipping out like a snake going back to hiding.
"Though, might I ask. Why is he, in the queen's quarters hmm?" Alexander pointed to Rickey.
"Merda, non mi rendevo conto. . . " he mumbled to himself.
(Shit, I didn't even realize)
"Se Jason chiede è su di voi." I snapped.
(If Jason asks, it's on you.)
"Idiot, should have told me to wait outside the room, so I don't get bitched at." Rickey scoffed as he walked passed Jarred shoving him as he did.
"I'll meet you in your room."
He quickly said as he hastily left the room, but quickly glanced back at me and smiled before shutting the door.
"Sei fortunato che ho avuto un accappatoio su"
(You're lucky I had a bathrobe on)
Jarred put up his hands in defense.
"Alright, alright I'll get out of your hair." He chuckled and left the room, but you could tell he was more or less trying to avoid more of an argument on why someone who shouldn't be in my room was.
Alexander shifted, looked at me and cleared his throat.
"I am assuming, you are truly okay, yes?"
I smiled.
"I surely am, believe me, I have no doubt you were listening in either."
"Well, you did try to tell me to relax a little, I'm only doing what is asked of me, though I must say, truly your scent is everywhere. Jason is going to be quite interesting when he comes home. . ."
As I looked closer I noticed his eyes were a dull red, I had wondered if I was having the same effect on everyone else right now.
"I'm sorry, I'll clean it up myself don't worry about it. Apologize to everyone else for me. . ."
He nodded and headed for the door.
"Goodnight, Ms. Luna."
He shut the door and I walked to the bathroom and went under the sink grabbing some cleaner, paper towels and starting cleaning off the blood on the mirror.
I stepped back to look over the big mirror, seeing if I missed anything and as I did, I almost had slipped, but grabbed onto the counter and looked at my foot and groaned. I wiped off the blood off my foot and got down on the floor and started too scrub at the black marbled floor.
I looked at the silver clock on the counter.
It's a little after two in the morning surprised he hasn't called. . .
I shook it off and finished cleaning the floor and got up. I put my hair in a loose pony tail, put away the cleaning items and walked back into the bedroom, falling back on to the large king size bed.
Suddenly, the very crowded space was now empty and feeling very hollow.
I ran my hand down the grey and black faux fur blanket, pulled one of the pillows down and laid my head on it.
"So many pillows. . ." I mumbled.
I grabbed the remote from the nightstand, turning on the TV to a random channel and grabbed my phone.
No missed calls.
I wanted to talk to him, to tell him what I had done. A blood promise was a very personal and rare thing that was done. Jason may have been okay with me seeing other people within our marriage, but sharing blood was still a thing he wished to have exclusively and rightly so.
In pondering with whether or not to tell him, I had suddenly thought of Rickey. He had barely said very few words to me when he was around. . . He had barely even seemed to take knowledge of me being there. Which I will not lie it only made me more curious more so. I also will not lie and say, I didn't think he was attractive. He was, extremely even.
I shook my head of my thoughts and closed my eyes.

I was suddenly awoken from my trance, when I felt a sudden breathing on my neck. Quickly, my eyes opened and I quickly grabbed onto the person's neck.
"Well I missed you too sweetheart" Jason chuckled into my neck making me shiver, and I sighed and slapped his face lightly, pecking his lips closing my eyes pressing my forehead against his.
"You didn't call."
I said laying back down and glanced at the clock which now read five minutes after 3 am.
"I wanted to surprise you, is that such a surprise? Like the scent of a lot of males in the room?thankfully, I suppose ones I know"
He looked at me raising an eyebrow.
"Oh yes, while you were gone, it seems I have forgotten that I had just such a massive orgy while you were gone you see"
He rolled his eyes, suddenly I had noticed his eyes were a faded red too.
"I know most of them, but one. Who is he?"
He laid beside me and put his hands behind his head. He was still wearing his dark grey suit and might I just say, he looked as handsome as ever.
"It was Rickey." I was hoping he'd leave it at that. . .
"Why was he in our room?" surprisingly he didn't seem upset, but rather curious with his tone.
"I, well you see ,that's what I need to talk to you" about I sat up in the bed to look down at him.
"I know we said we would discuss these sorts of things, but I figured you would agree because of the terms." I paused.
"I made a blood promise with Kaiden, and before you try to shut me down on this-"
He stayed silent still keeping eye contact so I knew he was listening.
I expected him to cut my off. but he left me speak.
"He is now unable to harm our family, and with that, he is also sworn to protect."
"Is that what the bickering was about, when I arrived?"
I nodded.
"Well I know we agreed, but you were indeed right; besides I said I would call you and I hadn't so you had no other choice really."
"As for all the scents well, Jarred came in smelled the blood panicked and rushed to my room, Alexander had been listening in and knew I was safe. Jarred brought Rickey as well so."
His expression changed into a tentative one.
"Rickey though. . . how do you feel about him?"
I bit my lip and thought for a moment.
"Truly? I am confused. . . though, as you know I haven't spent any time with him, he seems to be a good friends with Jarred."
You're lying, you like him.
I thought to myself.
"Why do you ask?"
He shrugged.
"Figured I'd better ask if I'm about to start sharing a room with another person."
Was he mad?. . .
"I mean, poor guy might barely have space for his clothes with you having the walk-in"
He teased, giving me a big cute grin.
I slapped his arm, laid my head on his chest and closed my eyes as he placed a kiss on my forehead.
"How do you feel about him?"
I reopened my eyes and looked up at him.
"He's a player, so I'm not sure if he would be dating material, if that's what you mean."
"No, no I was meant in general."
"Hard to say, I haven't had much time with him either."
"Enough about him though, I'm tired of smelling your deliciousness and not having a taste."
He leaned down into my shoulder, talking against my skin softly before sinking his teeth in.

Two Weeks Later
I bounced the small red ball on the cherry wood table, as the others discussed amongst themselves. About two days ago, I had arrived in Italy to discuss some issues they were having there regarding blood supplies.
Unfortunately for them, I hadn't been listening at all and I was quite bored.
"My queen?" Antonio asked.
"Yes, go with whatever plan that was, should work and do fine."
I quickly stood and Alexander came around the table to hand me my red long jacket.
"But-"
"Call me if you need anything else while I'm here for the next day or two Antonio!" I yelled as we walked out of the meeting room.
"You didn't listen to a word, did you?" Alexander chuckled.
"Not really, if I were to be honest, I do not wish to be back here." I said bluntly.
We were back home.
Though, I'm not sure if home is what you should call it. I had grown bitter towards the place I once called home. Filled with many years of blood, hatred and sadness, that's when soon after America was founded we had took it upon ourselves to make a new life.
The promises they told us about that, let me tell you. . .
"Well. . . it's only noon, do you have anywhere you wish to go, or do you want to head back to the house?" Alexander asked.
I thought about it for a moment. Part of me wished to go to the beach. However to make this trip worse, I knew Lord Zadicus was following me this whole time, yet he did not make his presence known yet. . .
"I wish to be with Jason, but I cannot have that. I wanted to get married, have a son or maybe a daughter too. I wanted a family with grandchildren and all. . . I wanted to grow old with him."
I paused.
"This place holds nothing, but bad memories and memories of what could have been. . . I have lived much more than I could have dreamed as a child and yet. . . it doesn't please me."
"I know just the place then." Alexander spoke softly.

Where do you think Alexander is going to take Luna?
Why do you think Luna lied to Jason about how she felt about Rickey?
Do you think Luna's choice in the blood promise was the right one still?
