I let myself fall back onto the bed after walking out from our very steamy shower and rubbed my head against the soft bath towel wrapping the rest of it tightly around me as I waited for Jason to come back.
It was so odd to see him in such a state. . . we had starved ourselves a fair amount of time in our past to learn about ourselves and honestly because it was more convenient at the time. Still he was always one with the better attitude. However after everything we've been through I guess that could change for people right?
I let a small chuckle out as I close my eyes.
As if we're normal people. . .
"What's so funny?"
Jason's voice suddenly filled the room and I opened my eyes and saw him rubbed the towel over his head, he had on a pair of low fitting black and grey plaid pants now on.
"Oh I was just thinking how we are far from normal people to make a comparison?"
He chuckled himself now and came over to the bed looking down at me smiling.
"Though that may be true, but we did get that marriage and happily ever after- or something close to"
I smiled back up at him sitting up.
"That we did, and if anything positive came from all of this it was that"
He reached down and pulled my body to the edge of the bed as he hugged me against his stomach.
"I love you, so, so, so, so much. . ."
He whispers as he strokes my hair.
It was amazing that through all the morbid things we had been through, we had done them together. We had always been with each other.
He kissed my forehead and I was torn from my thoughts realizing I hadn't responded.
"I love you too, so much and does this mean you'll try for me?"
I looked back up at his eyes.
He hesitated for a moment before nodding.
"I'll give anything a try for you. . . even if it seems silly"
He teased and touched my nose.
"Thank you" I spoke softly as I hugged him once more.

"Do you remember when I'd come home from a long trip and we'd kick Jarred out because he was so loud we could never relax?" Jason chuckled as he continued organizing his part of the closet.
He was always so specific with how he wanted things, but it changed how he wanted it so no one else could.
"Ugh I swear it was like the party was never ending with him, and the moaning oh my god do you remember how mortified I was?"
"You were? I had to sometimes go in there during that mess!" he laughed even more as finished his section and shook his head.
"He may not be perfect, but at least he's dealing with things better again" he pointed out as he made his way out of the closet.
"Maybe it has to do with his new dating life" I grinned following behind him.
"Who might that be?" he looked confused.
"He has someone new?" he asked more.
"Wait, neither of us know?!" we looked at each other shocked.
"We gotta talk to Alexander about this!" I said grabbing my shoes and changing out of my black velvet slippers and into some short heels.
Jason opened the door waiting for me to finish tapping his foot impatiently I got up quickly and nudged him on my way out as we hastily walked down the hall and down the staircase to Alexander's office.
To no surprise Alexander was there buried in a stack of paperwork rubbing the back of his head as he read through it.
"I heard you two yelling what may I help you with?" he spoke without looking up, he sounded almost reluctant to ask.
"Do youuu know about Jarred's new special someone?" I leaned onto the desk trying to get him to look at me.
He glanced up at me judgingly might I add before he spoke.
"Oh no you are not dragging me into that, if there was a safety concern sure but I am not going to go get in the middle of your family thing- you both wanted me to be more of a friend so this is one of those things"
He looked back down at his work.
"Come on, can I have a hint Alexander? You know brother code and what not" Jason came up behind me putting his arm around my waist.
Alexander laughed sitting up straight.
"You're really not wanting to let this go huh? He is your brother ask him"
Jason frowned.
"Yes, but he's being sooo quiet about it and you know him"
"Don't you think there's a reason for that? Can't you just be happy maybe he's taking it seriously for once?"
Alexander countered.
"I suppose so. . . fine I won't pry, for now oh and I have news to share with you also"
"Hmm?" Alexander went back to sorting and signing through papers.
"Luna and I are going to be on your diet now!" Jason said it with a hint of sarcasm in his excitement.
He huffed in response.
"You two? You two are going to survive and live off of bagged blood? Just at random?"
I stood up straight putting my hands on my hips looking down at him.
"Hey! we aren't that bad come on now and yes we are, we're going to fix his little craving problem isn't that right?"
Jason winced before giving me a small soft smile.
I turned back to Alexander only to see him shake his head.
"Well, good luck with that I give it max two weeks."
Offensive.
"So what are you up to the rest of the night?" Jason tried to change the mood.
"Hmm, finish this up and watch some tv before bed- Joshua wanted to play pool or something but I don't know"
"Honestly, we should go out for a guys night on the town this week"
I laughed trying to imagine the three of them going out together.
"What's so funny?" they both looked at me offended.
"I'm sorry, but the three of you? going out to bars and what not"
"Hey, we have fun sometimes, just because we're old doesn't mean we gotta just be in the house all the time"
"Old? speak for yourself" Alexander joked with Jason.
"You were definitely older than I was when I became this okay" Jason motioned towards his body showing off.
Alexander and him and even I started laughing.
Alexander didn't look bad by any means, just unfortunately compared to Jason and I he definitely had more age being that he was in his late twenties when he was turned. Where Jason and I looked just a little over twenty.
"Ooh you know maybe when we have to recreate our identities again we could make you uncle Alexander, oooh maybe a name change too?" I joked sitting up on the desk Alexander glanced at me judgingly as I moved some of his papers.
"Why am I always the one with the weird family story connection to you guys?"
"I mean someone has to , especially when they're around all the damn time!" Jason nudged him.
"Hey I can't help my job, honestly could you imagine someone like Joshua being my dad?" Jason winced and I busted out laughing.
"Poor kid looks more like my damn cousin rather than a dad! Remember when we had to make Marrisa my mom?"
"Yeah why is it that I'm the one with all the dead family like come on guys" I huffed.
Jason held up a finger.
"You know she's not wrong. . . how rude of you Alexanderrrr" Jason laughed.
"I don't want to hear it from you, you made me learn a whole different language" Alexander pointed back at Jason.
I laughed remembering how Jason and him had taught themselves French to sell their story and how angry they would get.
"It looks great on a resume though no?" Jason shrugged grinning.
Alexander blinked.
"Resume? where the Hell do you think I'm going?" he started to laugh and so did I again.
"Apparently somewhere that requires French in his brain" I shrugged hopping off his desk.
"Honestly I had the motive of maybe he'd use it to get a girl, but the guy never goes out and even tries" Jason rolled him eyes moving back around the desk wrapping his arm around my waist.
"Honestly, I don't think I'd know how to manage all of this and deal with a relationship" he gestured around himself just as I was about to frown he smiled.
"With that being said though, I never was much for the romantics as a kid"
"No wonder you don't mind helping organizing so much around here"
He chuckled.
"Well, I was auditor you know before this, and I dabbled in becoming a lawyer so" Alexander stood up pushing in his chair and leaned against the windowsill behind him.
"Really? is that why you got this job?" I asked.
To be honest, Jason and I never really asked about most of their past lives. Especially Alexander's since he was one of the few that were left from the original King and Queen.
"Mmm, somewhat- I was the third, but to be honest the first two were more of puppy dogs just waiting for some sort of reward- maybe envy not fully sure- but uh I was kind of just brains so"
"We came in and made a mess of the plan I'm sure" Jason admitted.
Alexander sighed and looked at the floor for a moment.
"I told you guys that night, it was bound to happen- even if it were from their own people"
He admitted.
"Well I think, this is a time to a toast, a toast to a better future for all of us! What do you guys say?" Jason said excited.
