Dear Daisy,
Yesterday afternoon went really well. Daffi seemed a bit off but I think he was just having an off day. He didn’t seem to sleep until really early in the morning. I don’t know if he was trying to be discreet but I heard him really aggressively typing. Hopefully, he and Brennan didn’t have a fight. As weird as it feels when I see them together they still seem good for each other.
Anyways, Zinnia turned up first they recently passed their driving test so they drove Dia and Iris here as well. Then Brennan and Mike arrived together, surprisingly. Apparently, while they were walking here they bumped into each other. The person we least expected to show up was Dahlia. But at the same time, I guess it makes sense, she’s still our friend. It’s not like she wasn’t allowed to keep being our friend just because we stopped dating. Really, it was my fault because I shouldn’t have shat where I ate. Though when Daffi opened the door for her it was so awkward. He said welcome and then ran to his room. I don’t know if he’s ok or not. I hope he is. I was gonna go up and check but Zinnia got me to help them make snacks instead. Even though it's over I’m still worried about him.
We started the night off with this game Mike brought in. It was called “Catan”. I would have won if Iris didn’t keep stealing my resources. But I’m happy he didn’t win either. Zinnia did. I don’t understand how they’re so good at this game. I forgot to ask too.
We used a “magic wheel” to decide who got to choose the next game. I think it should just be called a wheel but Brennan had different ideas. He said I was being boring. I’m not boring. He’s just…fun. I’m going to stop telling you about this subject because if this were real life you both would have ganged up on me. But Dahlia ended up getting selected. I wonder if she would have given that up too. No, I’m not going to be a bad ex and talk shit about her. Even though I was dumped. I swear she dressed up for today too. She looked, prettier. I kept thinking that. Even though we broke up it just doesn’t feel right yet. It feels like I’m yearning for the times we were together and the feelings we used to share.
I need to stop going into my feelings in these letters. This is a letter to you, not me talking about my feelings. I’m meant to talk about my day.
Dahlia ended up choosing Monoplay. Who even likes that game??? It makes sense that she would like it because she is the worst and chooses the worst games. I need to stop being so petty. We set a time limit for the game and surprisingly Dia won that round.
It was nearly 8 by the time we finished so Zinnia, Dia and Mike went to cook while the rest of us waited and watched a movie. I sat on the couch with Iris while Daffi, Brennan and Dahlia sat together on a purple beanbag. Personally, I think it was too small. The three of them did not need to be so close on one thing. Brennan and Daffi? That made sense, they are dating after all. But Dahlia too? Two is a couple, and three is a crowd, especially with sitting on a beanbag! I had to stop myself from death glaring at them. Multiple times.
Iris chose this movie called Dodgeball. It was actually quite funny. I might’ve enjoyed it if SOMEONE (who can’t bake) wasn’t snuggling up to my best friend like that. Did I also mention how uncomfortable Brennan and Daffi looked?
Somehow, it took Zinnia, Dia and Mike an hour and a half to cook spaghetti and meatballs. Dia said she had to do most of it because Mike and Zinna kept leaving the kitchen to do stuff. Though the food was really good so it’s fine, we all put bets on what they were doing during dinner since they missed that too.
Daffi and I were in charge of cleaning up the dishes. Let me just say. While cooking, the three of them somehow managed to use every single dish in Daffi’s house. It took us about an hour to clean everything too. While everyone else played some game about “Exploding Cats” we were just washing dishes, mopping and wiping down benches. I wanted to ask Daffi if he was ok but I kept on forgetting to. Instead, we talked about the movie and this crazy celebrity scandal Daffi found out about. I don’t get why he likes that stuff but it’s fun watching him talk about it. He also finally let me know about this project he’s working on. He wants to upload a comic he's been working on and put it on two sites. I got him to make me an account on each so I can be his first supporter! One is this site called “WEBTOON” while the other is this small one called “Penana” It’s like banana with a P. Which is quite weird. But I’m happy to be able to support him!
The rest of the night was pretty fun because Dahlia had to go home early. We played “Cards against Humanity”, “Isle of Cats” and “Ticket to Ride” until about 2 am. Per usual everyone stayed over and I somehow ended up sleeping inside Daffi’s bed.
I think it’s because Iris wanted to play truth or dare. I felt bad because he said besides Dahlia he had never really had a proper sleepover with friends. So before we went to sleep we got in a circle and played a few rounds. I’m happy he has us and we have him.
We also used hair spray to make his hair pink in his sleep. He doesn’t know yet. I personally think it suits him.
