Exodus
Ch.12.
vs. 1-6: God establishes a calendar for them. The beginning of the year is now their month of beginnings. The new year is a celebration of being freed from bondage.
vs. 7-13: The Passover. The blood on the doors keeping their sandals on to leave and burning the food that's left in the morning. They had to be ready to go. You don't want to be left behind.
vs. 14-20: So leavening takes time to rise. God is specifying that they won't be there long enough for the bread to rise so to just prepare unleavened bread. If you make leavened bread it's almost like telling God you think you'll be there long enough for it to rise. Kinda cool information behind that.
vs. 21-27: What a great way to keep your story alive and close. Also the blood covers them, this is similar to how Jesus's blood covers us. The blood shall never lose it's power.
vs. 28-32: Bless me also. Pharoah is still wanting something from them. What a horrible way to learn. Those poor children.
vs. 33-36: Plundering without even lifting a finger. That's how God works.
vs. 37-39: Wow when God moves it seams so sudden after waiting for so long.
vs. 40-42: 430 years. That's 30 more years than God originally told. We see this often when God gives a timeline the people wait even longer to cry out to God.
vs. 43-51: God tells the people how someone can become apart of the people.

Ch. 13
vs. 1-2: God asks for the same thing from the Hebrews as He took from the Egyptians.
vs. 3-10: Establishing tradition.
vs. 11-16: God is able to teach the Hebrews how to teach while insuring that the story is cemented in their culture just with a sacrifice.
vs. 17-22: Isn't God good! The Pillar of fire and of cloud is so cool. He knows his people and won't let them see war just yet. He know they will have to fight the victim mentality before they can be warriors. Also Joseph finally left Egypt!132Please respect copyright.PENANA9y0JVBwEMj

Mathew
Ch. 17
vs. 1-8: Jesus turned into a glow stick. On a more serious note this is pretty cool. Not only is Moses and Elijah there to testify but Jesus's transfigured face shows it plainly. The only other person to glow was Moses.
vs. 9-13: Poor John the Baptist.
vs. 14-20: Jesus has been with them for a while I can understand why He would be a bit frustrated. Especially if this happened after all the other signs and miracles He displayed.
vs. 21-23: Jesus is trying to prepare them for what's to come.
vs. 24-27: This tax is only for those of a certain age. So this is verifying that Peter and Jesus were close in age and the other were younger.
