Leviticus
Ch. 19
vs. 1-4: "Be holy for I AM holy" God is amazing. He calls us to be like Him. that is His desire. He made us in His image. How sweet is that. Also the next bit is a restating of some of the ten commandments.111Please respect copyright.PENANAely0hmcql4
vs. 5-8: Agree with this. They probably had to stay extra vigilant on their food to keep it from spoiling.
vs. 9-10: God making provisions for the widowed and the orphaned as well as the poor.
vs 11-14: Yeah, pay me daily! Any way treat people well!
vs. 15-18: This is the passage Jesus quotes. "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
vs. 19-22: That felt a bit random.
vs. 23- 25: I believe this is also good practice in harvesting from trees but I can't remember how it helps the trees.
vs. 26-28: Right there is the tattoo part. The cuts on the body part aside from self harm were a practice that pagans did to worship their idols. They would wail and cut themselves to try and get the demon's attention.
vs. 29-30: Yes, please love your daughter and don't do this.
vs. 31: Looking at you Saul.
vs. 32: Yes honor your elders and fear the Lord.
vs. 33-37: They were suppose to be the priest to the nations. They needed to treat the sojourners well. God always asks them to remember what He did for them and to have compassion. Keep the same measurement. Don't cheat people.111Please respect copyright.PENANAQ3IslL8sQB
Ch. 20
vs. 1-5: YEAH! BECAUSE THEY ARE MURDERING BABIES!!!
vs. 6-9: Again looking at you Saul.
vs. 10-16: Well no one today likes this passage. This is why God ahs to say things over and over again, because if He only said it once people would ignore it.
vs. 17-21: The last two are not death but childlessness. How interesting a distinction.111Please respect copyright.PENANAMcweuTVDSC
vs. 22-23: They did all these things. How crazy. 10/10 would not want to live there when the canaanites were living there. No thank you ma'am.
vs. 24-27: "Be ye holy as I AM holy" yes and Amen! Also the little side note about the necromancers and mediums at the end. God wasn't playing around.
Mark
Ch. 4
vs. 1-9: The parable of the sower. The seed is the word.
vs. 10-20: This soil is your heart. It is important to take care that you are uprooting everything not of God and keeping the word in your heart. Fasting is a good way to kill the flesh, just saying.
vs. 21-25: Listen to God while you can. The act of listening also take action.
vs. 26-29: We need to spread the word of God. We don't know how it grows but that is the very crucial part to the harvest. It's our first act.
vs. 30-34: The kingdom of God is like a grain of mustard seed. It starts out with the word and grows tremendously.
vs. 35-41: They ask but the know the answer to whom Jesus is. The demons were crying out who He was and He urged them to be still.
