Leviticus
Ch. 15
vs. 1-12: This just sounds like good hygiene practices.
vs. 13-18: So sex is unclean. Sounds about right. Just clean up afterwards.
vs. 19-33: So this seams extreme but not being clean on your period can lead to very bad things. Also I like to think that the women get a break during their period.

Ch. 16
vs. 1-5: Aaron can not wear his priestly garments before God. He has to wear modest apparelle. We are all the same before God's eyes.
vs. 6-10 This is the scapegoat everyone talks about.
vs. 11-14: The blood covers all.
vs. 15-19: The blood continues. This is for atonement of the people's uncleanliness.
vs. 20-22: The scapegoat took it all away. How crazy, Jesus was both the sacrifice and the scapegoat all in one.
vs 23-34: No work is to be done on this day.

Mark
Ch. 2
vs. 1-12: Jesus healed the man but it was a testimony of His glory. Sometimes your situation has less to do with you and more to do with His glory.
vs. 13-17: "I came not to call the righteous but sinners" How true. Its those who are in need that see and recieve the Lord's divine help.
vs. 19-22: I understand the bridegroom part. I kind of understand the wineskins part. Not really sure how it applies to fasting though.
vs. 23-28: "The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath." This statement was understood to be talking about the Messiah. Jesus here was claiming to be God. That's why everyone got so upset with Him. Also its important to notice how Jesus consistently speaks of the law as a means of helping the people. His divergence from the normal teaching is that He speaks about the law as a helper to the people. The others used the Law to hold people to an impossible standard to raise themselves up.
