Ch. 9
vs. 1-8: The Passover is kept. Also these men are commendable for wanting to serve the Lord even though they were unclean from a dead body.
vs. 9-14: They are allowed to hold it. We see often God say the same law for the sorjourner as for the native. That's a very unique concept in that time. Even the Romans which were probably the most friendly to foreigners had a different law for their citizens than foreigners. That's why Paul gets special treatment, he is a Roman citizen and has certain rights.
vs. 15-23: What an amazing testimony! Also they had to be prepared to follow. Everything needed to be organized and ready to go. Even with this sign they still doubted God. We can become numb to signs.

Ch. 10
vs. 1-10: Silver trumpets! How cool is that. Two to sound for different things. Once for just leaders twice for the whole congregation, long for meeting, an alarm for fighting, and the order tells how they are to go into battle. Maybe that's why in revelation the trumpets will sound? It's harkening back to here for all the saints to gather. How cool is God's word!
vs. 11-16: We get to see how their first trip went!
vs. 17-28: The marched out!
vs. 29-32: Moses has a good relationship with his father in law. How sweet! What a stark contrast to the relationships earlier in the Bible.
vs. 33-34: God went out.
vs. 35-36: What a sweet thing for Moses to say. He was really close to the Lord.

Ch. 11
vs. 1-3: Do note that their complaints aren't even recorded in this passage. I understand how God can be frustrated and angry. Help me to not make Him angry. Notice Moses's prayer calmed the Lord.
vs. 4-6: God gave them mana from heaven and they wanted more. I understand wanting more but there is a better way to ask.
vs. 7-9: A restating of what mana was.
vs. 10-15: Moses for real said these aren't my kids. We put a lot on leadership but we hardly ever try to help.
vs. 16-23: God is about to anoint the elders. Also God's main issue is that they keep wanting to go back to bondage. He is the Lord if they had faith and asked He would do it, instead of that they would rather go back to bondage.
vs. 24-25: They prophesied but did not continue.
vs. 26-30: Are you jealous for my sake. Moses had a great attitude. These two prophesied in the camp. Would that all the Lord's people were prophets! What an amazing statement.
vs. 31-35: God took care of those who were complaining I guess.
