Ch. 12

vs. 1-9: He said I speak plainly with Moses not in riddles and you got beef? Wow God told them.

vs. 10-16: I think God punished Miriam because earlier it calls her a prophet and she was acting out. He says if a father  spits on his daughter she should be ashamed. This is God correcting her for getting power hungry.

Ch. 13-16: We get a spy from every tribe.

vs. 17-20: Moses told them  to scout and be of good courage and bring back some fruit.

vs. 21-29: They were there for forty days! How did I not notice that before?

vs. 30-33: Caleb gave a good report and they shot him down.

Ch. 14

vs. 1-4: I don't quite like that chapter break. They want to go back to Egypt! How crazy. Even appointing someone new!

vs. 5-10: The younger generation of leaders protecting the older and standing for the promises of  God! Also They were going to stone them! How crazy! God stepped in then.

vs. 11-12: God is so ready to start over.

vs. 13-19: Moses invoked His reputation. Odd that the Egyptian now believe God is real more than the Israelites in that moment. Moses is saying they saw the signs while the Israelites did not.

vs. 20-24: He said nobody is going to see it except for Caleb because he's a good boy.

vs. 25-36: God said none of you are coming except the children, Caleb and Joshua. I get it.

vs. 37-38: The died of a plague.

vs. 39-45: They still tried to do it! Crazy.
