Girls like Taylor do not enter your life for no reason. I watch her trying out my Jack and coke grimacing and I chuckle a little. She tells me it’s awful. That's one of the things I like so much about her, she tells me what she thinks she doesn't just go along with everything I say.

I could kick him, punch him but I won’t, he's my best friend. He doesn’t deserve this one though I think looking down at Taylor again. He is scheming, most likely on the phone to Jay right this very minute telling him how close he is to conquering the new girl. That is all she is to him, the new girl that he wants to do first. Matthew is a total thrill seeker, he’s never dated a girl properly. Never taken her anywhere or shown her to his family. He just wants to win a bet so that he can say he got in there first. I look at Taylor and think about introducing her to my mum, I imagine taking her to quirky book shops and on coffee dates.
She is the kind of girl a guy should be proud to be with. I don't want her strung along by Matty and his games. I saw him do that to Rachel, and she's never been quite the same since.

“I need to just” I say battling with myself. If I tell her, does that make me just as culpable? Like I was playing along with the bet too? She looks down at my chest, my nipple ring. I know she wants me, because of how she looks at me. I could move in on her but I don't think that would work just yet. She's trying to deny she still wants me, every time that she stares at me she stops herself and looks away.

She doesn't want to tell me about her day, that means she was with him. This has gone a bit further than I had hoped. He strikes fast. I would have asked her out, but considering the conversation everybody had regarding competing for her affection I held back. I don’t want anybody to think that she is just a conquest to me. If she found out and then realised I’d rushed her into a date she would doubt my intentions.

Her dress feels nice, silky almost. I noticed straight away when I saw her just how beautiful she was. But tonight I saw her, and the dress just accentuates her body that much more. I wanted to peel it off and kiss every inch of her body. Her hair tumbling down past her shoulders, and her beautiful blue eyes do things to me.

I reach my hand up her back, slowly testing whether she will move away. Her dress comes to a stop in the middle of her back and I breathe in. She's not pushed me off.
I touch her bare skin with my hand. Nobody can see us, not that they're watching. There are advantages to not being a player like guys like Matthew. People never assume you try or on with girls.
