"Why would you even say that, Phillipa you are just weird" Ryan says. It makes me smirk that he calls her by her full name, he catches my eye and we smile at each other. I relate to him the most, he seems the most sober and the most sensible.

We have all sat around in a circle like a bunch of kids, the sun has begun setting and it's getting chillier. Ross pulls his hoody out of his rucksack and places it around my shoulders. I give him an appreciative smile. Looking up at him through my lashes I'm taken aback by how gorgeous he is. Sun kissed blonde hair that waves around his face and chiselled features. He is still shirtless and I briefly wonder how he is still so warm yet I'm starting to shiver.

My phone buzzes in my pocket, I placed it back out of sight and out of mind when Rhea came along.

"You want me to move so you can get that?"Ross says looking down at me feeling my phone vibrate against his leg.
Rhea eyes me with caution, looking at me as if to say don't you dare answer. I give her a weak smile. I am a hopeless case. She is entirely right.

"Just a sec" I say justifying making him move off of me. He shuffles over towards Matty who has been unusually quiet. They both start rolling up a cigarette.

I stand up and put a little bit of space between myself and my new friends and most importantly away from Rhea. Pulling my phone out of my pocket I look at the display. It's strange because I'm used to checking my phone almost every hour if not more to see if he's contacted me. But since I've been here I haven't looked at it once. I've been so comfortable in Ross' company that I haven't even thought about him.

Firstly I have a message from my mum asking if I'm going to be back for dinner. I wonder how I didn't even hear or feel my phone go off. I reply no and inform her that I'm at Rhea's. I tell her I intend on sleeping over. My mum is pretty relaxed. As long as I get in touch she doesn't mind, plus she loves Rhea. She trusts Rhea and knows we've been friends for a long time. She is most likely ecstatic that I’m not in bed crying. Or moping around our little house with a vacant expression on my face.

My breath catches when I see the reason my phone was vibrating just now, I have a missed call from Tom. I sit down on another ramp which is deserted. Without thinking I call back, I know his number. As I hear it ringing in my ear I start to doubt whether I should be doing this at all. The alcohol has gotten to me already and I wonder what percentage cider is. I lean back laying down on the ramp looking at the stars trying to make my head work like normal sober me.
I go to hang up pulling my phone away from my ear when I recognise his voice saying my name as the call connects.

No matter how hurt I am by him I put the phone back to my ear. Unsure of what to say I come out with the lamest thing.
"Hey" I say laughing. It's quiet where he is and I start to question whether he is still on the line.

"Hey urm Tay, I'm sorry I shouldn't have called you" He flusters. He is unsure of something.
The drink begins talking for me, usually I would be matter of fact and push him away instead I tell him that it’s fine. Reassuring him.

Pippa stumbles over to me, of all of the people to interrupt me right this second she's definitely the worst one. I notice just how drunk she is, walking has become a problem for her. I sit up and steady her with my free hand before she falls into me.

"And I met this girl, I've known her for a bit actually" he says. I sigh and roll my eyes. I'm still holding onto Pippa but I notice Ryan is on his way over too. Great, just great.

Wow that's a load. I lay back down now that Ryan had secured his sister. If I wasn't so angry with him this would hurt. My first guess is that this is mystery pouty girl from the picture. I should of realised he would just sleep with her, why break the habit right? Thinking clearly for once I decide to handle this and get him off the phone so I can move on with my evening.

Ryan looks at me concerned. Probably wondering if I'm just as drunk as his sister.
"Hey you good?" Ryan questions looking down at me. I smile up at him and he giggles slightly. Briefly I wonder how these people that barely know me can be so caring. Tom is still on the line and I know he can hear this whole conversation.

“I'm okay thanks for asking" I tell Ryan sweetly. He smiles, happy with my reply. After holding eye contact for a moment he lowers his attention down to his sister. I refocus on my phone call, how to end it?

Quiet, shy me screams call him back and apologise. I ignore her. I think it's about time I let confident me make some of the executive decisions. And now what she decides on doing is strutting back over to her new friends and playing a stupid drinking game whilst sitting in the lap of a totally hot guy.

Ryan pulls Pippa up tells her to sober up a little or she has to go home. And he will make her leave, he warns her. When we return to the circle Rhea giggles into Malachi's chest, what has gotten into her I wonder. She briefly looks up at me with a questioning expression. I decide not to bring up the conversation with Tom. The sun has set now and I pull Ross’ hoody over myself as I lay back down into him. His arms comforting me.

I notice Rhea and Malachi are sharing a smoke again, he inhales a drag of the cigarette and then places his mouth on hers and blows it into her mouth. One of my favourite songs, Maggie Roger’s Alaska, comes on the speaker, I smile.
