Let's not pretend that I'm not angry, I tell myself as I glance at my phone for the sixteenth time in an hour. Only to be met with no new messages, no missed calls as I fry up the onions in the wok. Looks like I'll be staying in dorms for longer, I think to myself getting utterly carried away and making up scenarios in my mind of what Jay might be doing. They range from outright cheating on me with the blonde girl to moving on and not even saying goodbye to me. I briefly imagine him turning up right now and wrapping his arms around me as I cook and try to wish it into existence. Considering myself crazy I turn the music on determined not to check my phone, I uncork a bottle of wine and pour myself a glass seen as I have no more lectures and decide upon getting wine drunk instead of thinking about my forever life that may be disintegrating before my very eyes.

"Oh Taylor we're having wine at midday are we" Rachel giggles pouring herself a glass as she eyes me. Rachel saunters over to Nate and I turn around not wanting to see them hugging and God knows what else.

"Are you making fajitas again Taylor" Nate says calling over to me as I flinch slightly before I slap the chicken breasts on a chopping board and a large knife. Downing some wine before I set to work.

"Thank you" I smile nicely at him before chopping up the rest of the vegetables. He giggles slightly setting to work on the chicken as I stare at him unashamedly.

"I was here" he smiles looking up at me flirtatiously before replacing the chicken in the pan. I turn the music up some more as Rachel whoops in the background and Ross lights up a funny cigarette.

Matthew leans on the counter as I place everything in the pan sipping my wine and singing along to the song that's on. Jay, I consider is doing what he likes and so in my slightly tipsy state I will also be doing what I like. That includes dancing around my kitchen before I burst into tears at the thought of him potentially leaving me.

"Oh you're all here" an unfamiliar voice rings out in the kitchen and I hadn't even realised the door had opened, I've been preoccupied by Matthew’s onslaught of affection. I glance up hazily looking past his shoulder as he wraps himself around me. A tall girl with mousy hair glares at me, approaching us quickly as Matthew continues to hold onto me. I glance at Rachel and she sighs spinning the bottle again. Aria? Aliyah? She mouths at me the girls name and I just laugh in my drunken state.

Love of my life. I pull the phrase apart in my mind and realise that me leading him on just now was awful and selfish. More wine does the trick as I pour myself another and down some before glancing at Aria and her gobsmacked expression. Nate chuckles over the other side of the room and I'm sure Rachel utters a few swear words in amusement.

Quickly Aria raises one manicured hand and sweeps it over his face, slapping him before storming out of the kitchen. The door crashes closed behind her as I turn to face him instantly and he looks at me with eyes that implore me to love him again. I check his face instantly, I don't even think about it. Who would hit a face that angelic and beautiful?
