Leaning over the pool table in a short dress is a step classier than taking your clothes off, I tell myself desperately trying to not feel self conscious. I am beating Josh and he's taking this seriously.

Having potted a red I'm aiming for the colours in order and I don't plan on missing. I pot the yellow and it sneaks in just as I aimed it too. I straighten up from leaning over the table and I smile.

Jay is playing Ross on the other table, yes Josh has two pool tables not just the one. Both oak tables with lush green carpet lining them beside a fully stocked bar. As I walk around the table I am aware of Matthew seated in one of the leather armchairs just to the side of us. The blonde from earlier is eyeing him conspicuously as he sips at his brandy watching me. As I pot a green she attempts to break their silence by standing in front of him and practically dancing around him. Wearing far too much makeup and a short dress she looks cheap. Rachel scoffs next to him as he beckons her to sit on his knee.

I watch him lining up his shot, I know he won't just smash it and get lucky he is calculating it. He moves his hair off of his face and in one swift movement he moves his cue and of course pots a red.

He doesn’t answer as I concentrate and pot two more reds. I look up and glance at him and he's watching me, the expression on his face is the exact one he would normally wear whilst we were in a relationship and I was singing or playing guitar. I sigh. Time to let him have a go.

Pushing my way past students as I progress through the vast drawing room, past the fireplaces and the booming speakers until I reach the relatively quiet kitchen. I sigh and assemble a shot of whiskey deciding to neck it in order to get myself just a little bit more drunk than I am now. Placing the shot glass back down on the black marble worktop I swallow whilst pouring another.
It tastes awful and burns but I neck the second one. I'm determined to have a good night and get so drunk that I can no longer see Matthew gazing at me like I'm his world. I want blurry vision. Swirling around unsteadily with my wine glass and shot glass full I collide with Joshua. During my shots I hadn’t even heard the door open, I glance up at him as I fall into his chest. My red wine splashes down his expensive shirt leaving a dark red stain all over the fabric.

"It's alright don't worry Tay" he says as I mop his shirt off a little. Before steadying me I watch as his hands slowly go to the buttons on his shirt, averting my eyes as he undoes them and strips. I gulp slightly the whisky hitting me like a punch in the face when he stands before me topless. How do I get myself into these situations, with guys that are drop dead gorgeous taking their clothes off around me. I peek down and see that his Calvin Kleins are peeping out of his trousers.

I neck my whisky shot instead of eyeing him up. Then I turn and grasp the bottle of Italian red and top up my glass before heading to the oak doors that lead back into the drawing room. The ones that take me to Jay, my very own drop dead gorgeous man.
