The university dance studio is not the same as the one at the company but I make do, there’s no views out over the city or state of the art sound systems. However my teacher congratulates me on my role within the company. And in turn I thank her for putting me forward.

Jay meets me after rehearsals and we walk through the lane up to the refectory for lunch, the sky is clear and the sun peeps through warming up my bare skin as I stroll with him in a short white skirt and my black leotard. He has been playing American football for the team, it’s a new development and something he is enjoying. Wearing his sports jersey, he strolls by my side into the canteen and we collect some food.

“You are in fact looking at the principal dancer at a pro dance company" Jay says to everybody once we take a seat with all of our friends on the sofas by the pool tables. I blush and shy away from the eyes watching me.

"Thanks Ross" I smile, seated on Jay’s knee as he rubs my hips and I spoon some pasta into his mouth. I hook my arm around his shoulders, our physical attraction to one another is high and we’re laying on the PDA recently. I kiss his lips and he chuckles lightly, grasping the fork and feeding me some pasta.

“Yeah I joined the football team, with Josh” he laughs easily and I smirk as Rachel rolls her eyes. Shes not a big fan of Joshua Morelli, he had spoken out of turn about her at a party and since then they have steered clear of one another. However Joshua did intercept the situation take arose between myself and Tom at the party. He held Tom away from me and stuck up for me before Jay arrived on the scene. I contemplate walking up to the sports field this afternoon to thank Joshua Morelli, who would ever have thought I'd be doing that.

Glancing up as Ross and Jay talking about the game, I catch Matthew’s eye. Rhea packs her bag for her next law lecture as Rachel and Nate chat to one another across from me. Looking into Matthew’s eyes I clasp at the small box in my coat pocket just to check that it's still there before placing my hands on my thighs. This morning whilst Jay had been cooking breakfast I slipped my engagement ring in my coat, it’s imperative I talk with Matthew and clear the air with him. I intend on resolving the ongoing saga between us, Jay and myself are getting very serious and I must give my old engagement ring back. I cross one leg over the other looking down at my heeled boots.
