"Principal" Jay says smiling at me, I glance up at him over the candlelight and smile back. His face aglow with warm light as he watches me captivated. Upon reaching him in the car I had insisted on telling him the verdict over a glass of wine even though I couldn't contain my excitement. My mood was elevated and my adrenaline high as he drove us to a nearby restaurant and hand in hand we walked in.

Jay stands up from his chair, indicating that he will be one moment. I watch his back in the pale blue shirt he is wearing as he paces over to the bar confidently. Only to return with a bottle of dom perignon. Standing to my side he pops the cork and pours me a glass as I blush.

Abruptly the female waitress comes over to our table, seated by an open fire with a few pieces of art scattered on the mantelpiece. She ogles Jay and then sets her eyes on me and sighs unimpressed. I suppose usually I look better than I do at this very moment, hair pulled into a bun and fresh faced. But my interview took a priority today over makeup and hair.

"Me too" he smiles over at me. Since moving in together permanently our relationship has been so easy going and calm. He's so utterly different now, everything is about us with him. He focuses solely on our relationship, and I've noticed. He prioritises us and my happiness over everything.

Our mains come delivered to our table by the chef himself. Glancing down at the swirling pasta on my plate I can't help but to tuck into my food instantly, the extra workout has made me hungry as he smiles and eats some olives first.

It's utterly surreal for two students to be living in such an extravagant place however with Jay anything is possible.

The cool air hits me and I shiver as we walk through the streets back to the Audi, the light has gone and the streets are now illuminated by street lamps. This part of town is more of a hive for nightlife, with all the bars and restaurants.
We make a note of the restaurants we are going to try out as he holds my hand walking us back to the car. He's draped his leather jacket around me and I pull it over me, it's much too big but it's warm and it smells of him.
