Lei Wo’s head fell from his body. His eyes were bloodshot and filled with resentment as the head tumbled to the ground. Never in his wildest dreams did he ever imagine he would die to three teenagers in such a ridiculous manner!
“Aaaaaaah!!” screamed Chai Chau Chin as he watched Lei Wo die before his eyes. He no longer cared if he got injured. Even if he could only get one of them, he would drag that bastard down to hell with him!
Even a cornered rat is dangerous, let alone a wolf!
“Lethality: Arrow of the Sprinting Thunder and Splitting Wind!” shouted Fung Ching. He stepped forward and shot an arrow when he saw Chai Chau Chin charge at them. The technique lived up to its name. It shot forth with the might of sprinting thunder and splitting wind, hitting Chai Chau Chin’s left arm and shattering the bones inside. The intense pain only provoked Chai Chau Chin further, making him even more reckless in his attack.
He covered his head with both arms and continued rushing forward with no regard for anything else. He stepped forward, past the boundary line, completely oblivious to his injuries.
“Retreat,” said Wun Fan. He could tell Chai Chau Chin had gone into a frenzy and was planning to launch a suicidal attack. He immediately gave the order to retreat and the three of them backed off, keeping as much distance between them and the enemy as they could. Suddenly, Chai Chau Chin veered right, chasing after Hung Yu Fei as he shouted, “Martial soul, descend!”
Now that he had past the boundary line, the guard was no longer a threat to him. Chai Chau Chin immediately summoned his martial soul. The guard also stopped his movements and sheathed his saber. After all, Chai Chau Chin had already stepped past the boundary line. He would be at fault if he pressed the issue.
“Kids, that’s all the help I can offer,” muttered the guard to himself worriedly. He watched as Chai Chau Chin charged recklessly, but there was nothing he could do.216Please respect copyright.PENANAG3SUdDKVvf
Wun Fan knew Chai Chau Chin’s intentions. He immediately lunged forward while shouting, “Lethality: Dragon’s Draw, Forceful Attraction!”
He latched onto Chai Chau Chin with his martial technique and immediately pulled himself closer to him. His body shot towards him and he made full use of the momentum as he muttered, “Lethality: Dragon’s Claw, Crushing Grip.”
The soul energy around his hands turned into dragon claws with layers upon layers of dragon scales. Wun Fan raised his hands and struck Chai Chau Chin violently in the pack!
The dragon claws easily broke through his defenses and left gnarly gashes on his back. Wun Fan took the opportunity to channel death aura into Chai Chau Chin’s body, interfering with the circulation of his soul energy. However, Chai Chau Chin clearly had no regard for his own life anymore. He ignored Wun Fan’s attack and the injury on his back as he rushed at Hung Yu Fei. He drew his saber and imbued it with soul energy.
Channelling his soul energy was difficult because of the death aura, but he forced it into the saber. The blade instantly glowed with red light. Murderous intent surfaced behind Chai Chau Chin’s eyes. He thrust forward, the tip of the saber aimed at Hung Yu Fei’s heart. He shouted, “Lethality: Wolf Fang Heartpiercer!”
Chai Chau Chin’s attack sent shivers down Wun Fan spine. Wun Fan immediately conjured up what was left of his soul energy and unleashed Dragon’s Might on Chai Chau Chin’s ankle. He wanted to slow him down and buy Hung Yu Fei some time to respond.
Unfortunately, these sorts of tricks only work once.
Chai Chau Chin was prepared for Wun Fan’s attack. He sidestepped the attack and continued thrusting his saber at Hung Yu Fei.
Hung Yu Fei wasn’t an idiot either. She saw the opponent coming at her and immediately exhausted most of her soul energy to unleash her own attack. She said, “Lethality: Swift Leaves’ Slashing Sword.”
Nearly a hundred razor-sharp leaves rushed at the enemy as Hung Yu Fei waved her arms. However, Chai Chau Chin simply took the attack with his body. He refused to back down, even if every single one of those leaves dug into his body.
Hung Yu Fei still had an unending supply of aether in her body. An idea came to her in her moment of crisis. She immediately grabbed a leaf and threw it into the sky as she shouted, “Lethality: Leaf Through a River!”
She jumped and landed on the leaf. She kicked again and her body gently floated toward Fung Ching on the other side. Every time she started falling, she would throw out another leaf, until she slowly landed beside Fung Ching.
The repeated use of martial techniques completely drained her of her soul energy. Even the energy from the pill had been consumed. Hung Yu Fei felt a little lightheaded and had to take several deep breaths to recover. Everyone was stunned by Hung Yu Fei’s movements. She glided a long distance in the air, almost as if she was flying!
However, only Hung Yu Fei knew the truth. Usually, even using this technique once would have exhausted most of her soul energy. However, the Energy Restoration Pill allowed her to ignore her limitations. She absolutely loved the Energy Restoration Pill. This unreasonably unfair method of fighting felt too good to give up.
That said, her swift escape left Wun Fan in a terrible situation. Wun Fan, who had been chasing after Chai Chau Chin, now had to face him alone. Chai Chau Chin’s technique wasn’t over. When he saw what happened, he immediately reacted and turned around, lunging at Wun Fan instead.
Honestly, Wun Fan was no match for an intermediate Martial Scholar in the speed of his attacks. However, that wasn’t necessarily the case when it came to his movement speed.
Wun Fan glanced to the side and locked onto a small tree. He reached out and made a gripping motion with one hand as he said, “Lethality: Dragon’s Draw, Forceful Attraction.”
His body immediately shot toward the tree as if pulled by an invisible rope. He was twenty paces away in the blink of an eye. Chai Chau Chin’s martial technique came to an end. He stood there, heaving and wheezing, hacking and coughing. He spat out a solid chunk of blood. It was a horrible sight to behold.
He had been injured internally by Hung Yu Fei’s barrage of leaves. The leaves had entered his body and continued slicing up his insides, much like the shrapnel from bullets. Of course, this was only possible because Chai Chau Chin didn’t shield himself from the attack at all. Hung Yu Fei’s technique shouldn’t have been so effective against an intermediate Martial Scholar.
Fung Ching saw that Wun Fan had managed to distance himself. He quickly pulled out three arrows and shot them consecutively, “Lethality: Arrow of the Sprinting Thunder and Splitting Wind. Triple Shot.”
The first arrow hit Chai Chau Chin in the stomach, embedding itself deep in his flesh. Chai Chau Chin let out a muffled cry. The second arrow hit the same exact spot, knocking the first arrow almost entirely into his body, badly injuring his organs. The third arrow caused the first two to dig deep into Chai Chau Chin, so much so that the arrowhead of the first arrow pierced out of his back.
The three arrows were arranged perfectly in a line. Sprinting thunder, splitting wind. Chai Chau Chin had been pierced completely. If it wasn’t for Fung Ching’s Willow-Point Shot technique, it would be impossible to have such accuracy.
Chai Chau Chin stopped moving entirely. He looked down at his stomach. He felt a wave of dizziness wash over him from the blood loss. His vision started to blur.
Fung Ching was a very cautious person. He took no precautions. He drew the bow fully and shot another arrow. The arrowhead dug into Chai Chau Chin’s neck, causing blood to spurt like a fountain!
Chai Chau Chin slowly collapsed to the ground, but he continued staring at his enemies until his eyes turned dry and bulged in their sockets. He continued staring at Wun Fan and his two companions even as he marched toward his death, as if he was trying to remember their faces even in death, so that he could curse them forever as a ghost.
Chai Chau Chin did not last three seconds. Wun Fan’s strategy, along with Hung Yu Fei and Fung Ching’s flawless cooperation, allowed them to defeat and him! Old Lei saw all of this from within the ring and was satisfied with Wun Fan’s performance. To think he actually managed to slaughter thirteen opponents of Martial Vassal realm and above as an intermediate Martial Mortal. It was unimaginable.
Old Lei was both impressed and slightly worried.
Wun Fan finally had a chance to breathe. He adjusted his breathing for a moment and walked over to the corpses to collect his reward. He put his hand on Chai Chau Chin’s pulse and felt a massive surge of death aura rush into his body form the corpse. Wun Fan felt the death aura surging through his body. He couldn’t help but have a relaxed look on his face. It felt as comfortable and pleasant as bathing in a hot spring. He narrowed his eyes and enjoyed the sensation.
The death aura rushed through his meridians into his martial heart, where it surrounded Li’l Black. Li’l Black started devouring the death aura in a grand show of gluttony, its own aura resonating with the death aura around it as it feasted.
Li’l Black’s body started growing at a visible rate. He was clearly much larger than before. The murderous intent in his eyes was even more obvious and his black scales were tougher and denser.216Please respect copyright.PENANAQSwnnJdlsg
