“Zenith’s Forge,” commanded Wun Fan. The Spiritstartler Ring responded immediately, releasing surges of aether from his finger. The aether gathered in the air, turning into a seven-foot halberd in his palm.
The Spiritstartler Ring contained a wealth of aether that it could form into any weapon. To Wun Fan’s surprise, the aether weapon felt just like a real weapon in his hands. However, the moment he grabbed the halberd, it shrunk by around two feet, almost as if the Spiritstartler Ring was making adjustments for his height.
“Oh, that’s very considerate,” said Wun Fan with a chuckle.
The halberd he was holding measured five feet in length, with a gleaming sharp edge. It was dark metallic color and felt cool to the touch. A diamond had been embedded in the top of the hilt, while the top of the shaft was decorated with a red tassel. The halberd had three tips and two blades.
The pointed tips were to pierce the enemy, penetrating the guts and shattering the bones. The blades on either side were for sweeping slashes, disemboweling foes and breaking limbs. A competent warrior with this halberd could charge in and out of enemy ranks seven times without suffering a scratch. They would be untouchable even before an army of ten thousand.
Steel branch cold as black dragons, armies and legions left shattered and broken.
“Aether Forging?” said Fung Ching. He saw everything happening with Wun Fan with his sharp eyes. He was shocked and couldn’t hold back his surprise. Aether Forging was an ability exclusive to Martial Generals. Why could a novice Martial Vassal like Wun Fan use it?
That was very strange.
“What?” said Hung Yu Fei. She didn’t have much of a reaction. She heard Fung Ching mention Aether Forging, but she wasn’t quite sure what it was, even though it sounded familiar. Hung Yu Fei was very talented, but she didn’t like training in the martial arts. Consequently, her theoretical knowledge was quite lacking.
Meanwhile, Wun Fan grabbed the halberd firmly and thrust several times with it. It felt like a part of his body. For a moment, all the wolfapes that were charging at him were kept at bay.
The knowledge on wielding the halberd had been imprinted in Wun Fan’s mind. Every one of his movements was impeccable and full of power. The young boy was only 1.4 meters tall, but he looked as if he was born to wield a halberd when he swung the long weapon about. There was no hesitation or stiffness in his movements.
Li’l Black soared around in Wun Fan’s martial heart with very swing, every thrust and every step. If someone could see Li’l Black right now, they would realize that Wun Fan’s movements with the halberd mirrored Li’l Black’s movement in his martial heart!
“My partner, Ink’s Edict!”
Wun Fan was very educated in the literary arts, but he was quite terrible at naming things. Be it Li’l Black or the black halberd created by Zenith’s Forge, Wun Fan had this habit of just naming things by the way they looked.
Wun Fan spun and swung the halberd around several more times, before slamming it firmly against the ground with a thunderous thud. His overwhelming aura and killing intent merged perfectly together as one, causing him to radiate an an ominous air.
Wun Fan knew his fated weapon was a halberd during his first Zenith’s Forge last night. Li’l Black had let out a roar of excitement and bestowed upon him a new martial technique.
Wun Fan tossed the halberd lightly into the air and switched to a reverse grip. He said calmly, “Lethality: Black Dragon’s Halberd Shot.”
Thirty percent of his total soul energy surged into his right hand and into the halberd. Wun Fan got into a horse stance and threw with all his strength. A black and silver shadow howled through the air like a meteor.
A loud shredding sound could be heard as flesh was rend and bones shattered. Five wolfapes were pierced by the halberd and fell stiffly to the ground as one.
Light a fire under them and it would have been a barbecue.
The wolfapes who saw what happened cried out loud. Whether it was out of sorrow, hatred, anger or simply their drug-fueled craze, tears of blood began flowing out of their eyes. The wolfapes continued to lunge at Wun Fan with madness in their eyes. They wanted to tear him to pieces and avenge their fallen brethren.
They rushed forward as a horde!
“Zenith’s Forge,” said Wun Fan. The Ink’s Edict he threw out earlier remained on the ground. Meanwhile, another Ink’s Edict had been forged in his hands after just two seconds. It seemed like he could make as many of this halberd as he wanted as long as the Spiritstartler still had aether.
“Another one?” muttered Fung Ching. He was stunned, but not as surprised as before. He decided that he would make Wun Fan tell him the truth after this battle.

There were only wolfapes all around him, but Wun Fan had turned into a fearless demon craving for battle. The young boy met the enemy with halberd in hand and killed to his heart’s delight!
“Lethality: Dragon’s Might, Fierce Blast!” cried Wun Fan. A shockwave blasted outward with him at the center. The first wave of wolfapes were knocked to the ground and stunned.
Wun Fan did not stop. His movements were smooth as a river. His palm strike turned into a crushing claw as he put power into his legs and lunged forward. He grabbed the throat of a fallen wolfape and shouted, “Dragon’s Crushing Claw!”
The wolfape let out a shrill cry as Wun Fan’s fingers ripped through its throat. It struggled to free itself, squirming and crying as it did so, to no avail. Wun Fan lifted the wolfape into the air. Blood ran down his sleeves as the wolfape finally took its last breath.
Wun Fan’s killing intent was at its peak. He shouted at the skies, “Bloody sins may stain my hands, but by this halberd wolf blood shall mark these lands!”
Lethality: Dragon’s Might Fierce Blast.
A powerful force filled with death aura erupted from his palm. The wolfape corpse on his hand was blown to pieces and rained down in chunks of flesh and blood. The blood landed on Wun Fan’s hair and slowly dripped down, giving him a vicious and menacing appearance. The Spiritstartler Ring resonated with his condition, amplifying his aura to an even greater height.
“Come!” shouted Wun Fan as he thrust his halberd forward. The halberd pierced through the rain of blood like a ferocious dragon. With a single sweep, two more wolfapes were sliced in half!
The leader of the wolfapes could no longer hold back its fury. It abandoned its rationality and released its own killing intent. It crouched down slightly and leaped forward, trying to attack Wun Fan and stop him from killing any more wolfapes!
“In your dreams,” said Fung Ching. He had been keeping an eye on the wolfape leader for a long time now. He immediately let go of his three fingers on the bowstring. Three arrows shot forward, turning into blue tigers that pursued the leader. Fung Ching muttered softly, “Lethality: Song of the Magical Beasts.”
A bestial howl could be heard in the clearing. Three meters before the wolfape leader could reach Wun Fan, it was hit in the waist and halted in its tracks.
The wolfape leader could not feel pain under the effects of the Beastmania Powder, but it could still feel agony and sorrow in its heart as one after another of its pack was slaughtered. It didn’t understand what was happening to them and howled at the sky, as if to ask what they had done wrong to deserve this.
Hung Yu Fei saw her opportunity when the wolfape leader paused in its tracks. She pulled out a red flower and channeled eighty percent of her soul energy into it. She waved her hand and the glowing red flower shot forth like a bullet. It howled as it cut through the air and hit the leader in its belly.
“Lethality: The Forbidden Red.”
The red flower pierced the leader’s belly without any resistance, like a hot knife through butter. The red flower continued spinning and shredding the leader’s guts once it was inside, tearing and ripping apart its organs. The wolfape leader starting spitting out blood.
It was best to strike when the enemy was down!
Fung Ching showed no mercy. He pulled his bowstring and unleashed another shot, “Lethality: Song of the Magical Beasts!”
The blue tigers appeared once more, lunging forward and striking the wolfape leader in its head.
Boom!
A loud explosion could be heard as the wolfape leader was greviously injured by the attack. It collapsed to the ground and stopped moving. Its claws did not even twitch. Its chest was completely motionless. It was dead!
Hung Yu Fei smiled when she saw this. Her breathing was a little ragged from the effort she exerted, but she said in a relieved tone, “Alright, Wun Fan, it’s your stage now.”
Fung Ching also paused to recover. With the power that Wun Fan had displayed so far, these ordinary class-two magical beasts were no match for him.
Over sixty wolfapes had surrounded Wun Fan now. Some of the wolfapes further away from the fighting seemed to retain some amount of rational thinking. They were hesitating, circling the battlefield while they waited. Meanwhile, Wun Fan showed no signs of fear with Ink’s Edict in his hand. Why should he? He had his halberd in hand, three tips and two blades. It was like having a dragon with him.
Wun Fan moved.
The halberd had points, these were the dragon’s horns.
Wun Fan sucked in his stomach and put out his chest as he stepped forward. He held the shaft of the halberd in his left hand and thrust with his right. Like a dragon’s horn piercing the sky, he took the life of a wolfape with a single thrust. He then put two fingers to his brow and muttered, “Lethality: Dragon’s Breath, Counter-Vision.”
Wun Fan’s senses had been amplified tremendously ever since he awakened Li’l Black. The movements of every wolfape within a few meters of him appeared perfectly in his mind. He had no blindspots in combat! Three wolfapes lunged at him from behind, but their movements appeared so slow in his mind’s eyes. Wun Fan couldn’t help but flash a vicious smile.
The halberd had blades, these were the dragon’s claws.
“Die!” shouted Wun Fan as he struck. His left leg took a step back as he turned around, swinging his halberd as he did so. The dragon’s claw cut through flesh, instantly turning three wolfapes into six pieces. Wun Fan jumped backward and landed on a young wolfape. He said calmly, “Thank you for contributing to my strength.”
The halberd had a diamond hilt, this was the dragon’s tail.
He slammed the halberd down. The diamond hilt smashed against the wolfape’s back, instantly pulverizing its ribs and causing some of its organs to spill out of its mouth. Wun Fan was showing no mercy.
Fung Ching and Hung Yu Fei saw all of this and couldn’t believe that Wun Fan was just a young boy. Hung Yu Fei wondered out loud, “Is there such a thing as someone who doesn’t grow old in this world?”115Please respect copyright.PENANA7dz8upirJo
