Disciple Mortal Vassal Scholar Master, Innate Colonel General Spirit Baron.
Limited is the acquired strength, innate is the proper path. Once an individual has transcended the realm of Martial Master, fully developing their innate energy and combining it with their mental energy, they will become an Innate Martial Master. This gives them tremendous control over their soul energy
Innate is but gates to martial’s path; colonel and general but steps to spirit’s height! Even an Innate Martial Master would have to continue struggling to ascend to Martial Colonel realm, then Martial General realm, all in order to become a Martial Spirit.
All of heaven’s martial strife, immortals and spirits spill their blood and life.
All Martial Generals must imbue their soul energy with ‘spirit’ to ascend to the Martial Spirit realm. That is why a Martial Spirit is so powerful. They have transcended to a different level, where there is a qualitative change in their power, rather than a simple quantitative change.
Martial Spirits could fight a hundred inferior opponents without feeling exhaustion.
“Peak Martial Spirit?” repeated Wun Fan. He was actually feeling a little excited when he heard Old Lei’s warning. Li’l Black roared eagerly in his martial heart and the Spiritstartler Ring hummied in resonance as well. Wun Fan instinctively licked his lips. He seemed almost mesmerized as he spoke in his mind, “If I absorb her death aura, how powerful will I become?”
Old Lei was stunned for a second, before breaking out into laughter and saying, “Good, good, good. As expected of my disciple. I worried too much. It seems like I have grown too cautious as I aged.”
He was very satisfied with Wun Fan’s attitude.
Youth is potential. If one didn’t take risks while they were young, they would be wasting that potential.
“One last reminder for you: do not kill without reason, but there is no need to restrain yourself either,” said Old Lei simply. He believed that Wun Fan knew where the line was drawn. He wouldn’t need to repeat himself. He continued, “This Martial Spirit concealed her aura far too well and I have not recovered enough of my power. I couldn’t detect her at all.”
“Even you couldn’t detect her, Old Lei?” asked Wun Fan, the smile fading from his lips. He was still in disbelief as he asked, “Has she been following us all this while?”
“I believe that this woman has been protecting that girl from behind the scenes all this while. This explains why that girl was allowed to travel alone even though she’s clearly someone of high status,” said Old Lei as he made some deductions. He explained slowly, “There’s no need to be worried. This woman has no killing intent whatsoever. She probably just couldn’t stand it anymore when Siu Lan started unleashing such powerful attacks.”
Wun Fan was surprised. He said, “You call her Siu Lan?”
“Is that really important right now?” said Old Lei unamusedly. Shouldn’t Wun Fan be more concerned that the woman has seen him use Emperor Shennong’s Flame?

Everyone felt tremendous pressure the moment Hung Yeuk Huen appeared. Wun Siu Lan was a Martial Master, but just a single glare from Hung Yeuk Huen made it feel like there were heavy weights on her shoulders. Even breathing seemed more difficult.
Hung Yeuk Huen’s movements were graceful and elegant, even when she bent down to whisper in Hung Yu Fei’s ears.
“Sister- Aunty Huen, if you’re here, did you see me use that technique?” stuttered Hung Yu Fei as she bit her finger nervously, “You didn’t, did you?”
“Oh? You mean the Flower of Everlasting Protection? No, I didn’t see you use it,” said Hung Yeuk as she shook her head. However, Hung Yu Fei’s mind immediately went into panic mode.
“Doesn’t that mean you saw it?” said Hung Yu Fei. She was at a complete loss and didn’t know how to react. If news of this were to get back to his father in the capital, she was dead meat.
“Alright, that’s enough, let’s go back to the Hung Mansion for now,” said Hung Yeuk Huen as she flicked Hung Yu Fei on the forehead. She knew that this wasn’t the place to talk. It would be weird for a Hung clan member to stay at the Wun Clan’s place. Moreover, Hung Yun Zak probably knows that Hung Yu Fei had arrived at Green Sea Town. They would not be intruding if they went over.
“However,” said Hung Yeuk Huen calmly as she stared at Wun Siu Lan, “It’s poor behavior for such a young girl to not hold back in a simple fight. You need to be taught a lesson.”
Having said that, Hung Yeuk Huen took out a blade of grass and shook it between her two fingers, letting it sway in the wind. She flashed a smile as bright as the moon as she said, “Lethality: Persistent Way-finding Grass.”
The grass instantly cut through the air and shot toward Siu Lan’s mask!
“Lethality: Thousand Armaments Flame,” said Siu Lan as she instantly reacted. She had moved almost the same instant Hung Yeuk Huen attacked.
Clang. The gray flames turned into a large shield, deflecting the grass and causing it to fall harmlessly to the ground.
Siu Lan had defended herself without much trouble.
“Something’s wrong,” muttered Wun Fan to himself. He knew that this attack wouldn’t be so simple. It was an attack from a Martial Spirit. Even if she had no intention of killing Siu Lan, it was clear that she wanted to teach her a lesson. It would not be that simple.
The blade of grass suddenly fluttered like a swallow on the ground and took to the skies again, darting speedily through the air!
“Lethality: Dragon’s Might, Fierce Blast!” said Wun Fan. Dense death aura erupted from his palm. The shockwave knocked the blade of grass away, but grass was extremely persistent. It circled in the air before attacking Siu Lan again.
“What the hell is this?” cursed Wun Fan. He continued attacking the grass to no avail.
Hung Yeuk Huen became quite interested in Wun Fan as she watched him unleash his techniques. She thought to herself, Quite impressive, the death aura that this kid has. He might grow up to be yet another monster. If he doesn’t end up in service of the Hung Clan, he will definitely end up as an obstacle.
“Stupid kid,” said Old Lei in Wun Fan’s mind. He gave him a reminder, “It’s absorbing your soul energy and becoming stronger every time you attack it. Have you not noticed? It’s speed, power and frequency of attack have been increasing.”
“Then what should I do?” asked Wun Fan worriedly. He was getting anxious watching Siu Lan dodge and block the grass over and over again.
“There’s no solution. You can either dodge it until it exhausts all its power or find a way to shatter the grass completely.”
Wun Fan immediately shouted, “Siu Lan, don’t block it with your martial techniques! Just dodge it!”
“Mm!” said Siu Lan in response without even asking why. She knew Wun Fan would not harm her. Siu Lan immediately channelled all her soul energy to her feet. Her speed increased tremendously. Dodging this grass would be a simple matter to her.
“Hmm, this kid is not bad. To think he saw through the technique so quickly,” said Hung Yeuk Huen in amazement. Hung Yu Fei heard this and immediately started bragging, “Hmph! That’s a given! He’s the boy I picked, after all.”
Hung Yeuk Huen rapped her knuckle on Hung Yu Fei’s head and said, “Watch your manners. I’m your elder.”
“Alright, alright,” said Hung Yu Fei. Hung Yeuk Huen was one of the few people she liked in the Hung Clan and the reason was simple—Hung Yeuk Huen was always honest and straightforward with her. She never lowered herself or acted subservient just because Hung Yu Fei was the clan leader’s daughter. That and her strength was what earned her Hung Yu Fei’s respect. Hung Yu Fei couldn’t help but ask, “Aunty Huen, will this technique injure…”
“Hmph! Don’t worry, I know how to hold back with my own techniques,” said Hung Yeuk Huen confidently as she rolled her eyes. She paid close attention to Wun Fan and Wun Siu Lan. Who would’ve thought such excellent talents would appear in this rural town? It was not impossible, but the odds were certainly slim.
“Tsk. You’re just as rude as me,” said Hung Yu Fei as she pouted.
“It is quite odd. You used the Crimson Kiss, but he doesn’t seem to have any reaction to it,” said Hung Yeuk Huen. He became even more curious about this little boy. Not only was Hung Yu Fei’s martial technique ineffective on him, he even unleashed an unbelievable power the other day which allowed him to kill a Martial Master from the Green Wolf Gang. Hung Yeuk Huen was quite interested in his background now.
“I don’t know why either. If Hung Wai Lam can’t give me a satisfactory answer, I’ll make to teach her a lesson,” grumbled Hung Yu Fei. If she found out that Hung Wai Lam didn’t teach her the technique properly, she would make sure there was hell to pay.
“This probably has nothing to do with Elder Hung Wai Lam. This kid is quite odd. The girl is also very strange,” said Hung Yeuk Huen. She could tell that Siu Lan was dodging the grass with ease. She probably had plenty of strength to spare. Hung Yuek Huen raised her hand and snapped her fingers at the grass.
Snap!
The grass instantly became faster. It arrived in front of Siu Lan in the blink of an eye. She had no choice but to use her martial technique again, muttering, “Lethality: Black Warrior’s Tomb Guardian Flame.”
Green flames appeared and turned into a giant black tortoises, protecting Siu Lan from every angle. The grass couldn’t penetrate its defenses, but it absorbed a large amount of soul energy when it came into contact with the tortoise. When the grass spun around, it shot at Siu Lan again at every greater speed!
“Lethality: Radiant Skypiercing Sword.”
A glowing black sword suddenly shot out of the Wun Mansion. The sword radiance carried with it a determined strength, as if it would not back until it pierced the sky. The sword pierced the grass and the radiance faded, revealing the person wielding it.
“For instructing my daughter, I, Wun Ching Yeung, leader of the Green Sea Town’s Wun Clan, thank you.”101Please respect copyright.PENANAKQvOml2UB3
