Wun Fan already had a bad impression of the Green Wolf Gang, especially after their behavior the previous morning and after hearing about their modus operandi from Ho Siu Nam last night.
It just got even worse after what he had just witnessed.
Wun Fan didn’t think of himself as a good person, but he could never do something like violate a woman. Murder was one thing. But rape and torture? He couldn’t accept that.
There was always a greater evil.
“Martial soul, descend,” said Wun Fan as he conjured his soul energy instantly. He strengthened his body and concentrated his killing intent, compressing it as much as possible. His pupils shrank as he stared at his opponent, concentrating all his killing intent on him.
The second brother suddenly felt a chill run through his body. Even his legs trembled for a moment. He looked at Wun Fan in disbelief. How could an eleven-year-old brat have such dense killing intent behind his eyes? He had raped, pillaged and murdered for years now and even he didn’t have such terrifying killing intent.
All that killing intent concentrated on him felt like a giant weight on his shoulders. His limbs felt heavy as if his body wouldn’t listen to him.
He rallied his spirit and stopped himself from being intimidated by the overwhelming killing intent. Soul energy rushed into his weapon hand as he let out a furious cry, “Die, kid!”
Wun Fan saw the enemy charging at him and did not hesitate. He stepped forward instead of back, rushing at the enemy head-on.
When he was two meters away from his opponent, Wun Fan crouched down and slipped to the left of the second brother. He raised one hand, targeting the second brother’s right hand which held the saber in its grip, and said, “Lethality: Dragon’s Might, Fierce Blast.”
Slash.
A shockwave of death aura slammed into the second brother’s elbow. The tremendous repulsive force sent his right hand swinging toward his left shoulder. The sharp blade dug straight into the shoulder, running almost halfway through.
“Ah!” the second brother cried out in pain and tried to pull the saber out. However, Wun Fan exploited the opportunity. He recited again, “Lethality: Dragon’s Draw, Forceful Attraction.”
The attractive force was concentrated on the wound, ripping it even wider than before. The blood in the wound spilled out from the effects of Wun Fan’s technique, spilling on the ground as if an artery had been cut. The white snow was stained red. Enough blood had been lost and numbness was starting to set in on the second brother’s left arm. He was weaker now.
“Ugh…” moaned the second brother. Circulation to his arm had been obstructed by the wound. Soul energy could not reach it now. He had no choice but to channel soul energy to his finger and and tapped the area around the wound, forcefully stopping the bleeding by sealing the pressure points there.
“Second brother!” cried out the third brother. He never thought a Martial Mortal could hold his ground against an advanced Martial Vassal.
Was this boy really just a novice Martial Mortal?
Martial realm was absolute in the Martial Disciple stage, as a higher realm simply meant a clear advantage in aether. However, once you reached Martial Mortal realm, the importance of the martial soul and martial techniques would start to reveal itself.
The advantage of excellent and exotic martial souls would become apparent in combat.
That was why there was a common saying in Heaven’s Martial World, that a martial artist’s victory was decided on the starting line that was their bloodline. It referred to the fact that your heritage could provide you with an overwhelming advantage and save you a lot of trouble in your training.
“You still have time to think about others?” shouted Hung Yu Fei as she threw out more leaves, “Lethality: Brisk Wind’s Flying Leaves Dance!”
Wind blew and the leaves spun. The leaves spun and the girl moved. Hung Yu Fei glided along the ground as she circled the third brother like a hurricane. Countless leaves slashed at him, leaving thin cuts all over his body. Moreover, some sort of energy lingered on the wounds, keeping the bleeding from stopping.
“Lethality: Savage Wolf’s Saber!” the man instantly snapped and unleashed his martial technique in response. Whatever the situation, he had to deal with the problem in front of him first. There was no way a Martial Vassal could be killed by a Martial Mortal, right?

Back to Wun Fan’s fight.
The moment Wun Fan saw that the second brother had been weakened, he immediately seized his opportunity and continued the assault. He did not intend to give him any time to recover, lest he actually pose a threat to him. He took another step forward and pulled with his hand as he said, “Lethality: Dragon’s Draw, Forceful Attraction.”
The attractive force was concentrated on the man’s ankle. The sudden pull caused the second brother to lose his balance and fall to the ground. Wun Fan saw the opportunity and struck with a claw charged with death aura and soul energy. “Lethality: Dragon’s Claw, Crushing Grip.”
Wun Fan’s relentless combo caught the second brother completely off guard. He was prone on the ground and couldn’t avoid the attack, so he had no choice but to raise his right arm to block!
The claw attack struck him on the arm and a surge of death aura immediately rushed into his meridians. They ravaged his meridians and tainted his unused soul energy, forcing him to divert his attention and split up a portion of his soul energy to suppress the death aura and keep it from spreading. He cursed to himself, This kid’s way of fighting is very weird!
Old Lei saw everything from inside the Spiritstartler Ring. He could not help but be impressed with Wun Fan’s combat instincts. A mere Martial Mortal was fighting practically on instincts, and yet every single one of his moves seemed to have deep strategic thought behind them. He couldn’t help but wonder. From where exactly did an eleven-year-old boy learn such combat techniques? Did he start fighting people in his mother’s womb?
Moreover, every application of his martial techniques made full use of his advantages. Old Lei truly couldn’t explain Wun Fan’s performance with anything other than raw talent.
“Lethality: Agile Wolf’s Leap,” said the third brother. He couldn’t understand why his second brother was being beaten by a novice Martial Mortal so one-sidedly. He couldn’t even retaliate. If anyone were to hear of this, they would make fun of them relentlessly.
However, this wasn’t the time to think about such things. The woman they kidnapped was no longer a priority. The important thing now was escaping with their lives.
His body suddenly became very light after he used that martial technique. With a single leap, he broke free of Hung Yu Fei’s control and lunged at Wun Fan. Hung Yu Fei knew that the third brother would attack Wun Fan. She immediately exhausted one-third of her soul energy and imbued it onto the leaves around her. She pointed at her opponent with two fingers and cried, “Swift Leaves’ Slashing Sword!”
“Wolf’s Iron Body!” shouted the third brother, enhancing his body with even more soul energy in response to Hung Yu Fei’s attack. He wasn’t afraid. It was just the same thing. He was going to defend himself first, not even trying to attack Wun Fan yet. He could feel that there was something odd about this kid. He had to be careful with him, or he might just slip up and lose his life here.
However, Wun Fan turned around and flashed a malicious grin at him. The feeling of unease intensified for the third brother. Wun Fan reached out with his hand, exhausting all his soul energy as he locked onto a new target. The leaves that Hung Yu Fei had shot out. His hands made a claw grip as he used Dragon’s Draw, Forceful Attraction. All the attractive force was concentrated on just three leaves, whose speed increased tremendously.
Clang! Rip!
Enhanced by Wun Fan’s soul energy, the three leaves easily plunged into the third brother’s back, puncturing his lungs. The rest of the leaves were unable to penetrate his defense, however, and only left light scratches on his back.
However, the damage to the third brother’s lungs impeded his breathing. His soul energy became scattered and he was no longer able to concentrate on his Iron Wolf’s Body.
“Get out of the way, kid!” shouted Hung Yu Fei. She saw the opportunity and seized it, channeling almost all of her remaining soul energy into her next technique. She needed Wun Fan to get out of the way, so there wouldn’t be any friendly fire. After all, area-of-effect martial techniques did not differentiate between allies and enemies.
“Sky Waters Float Falling Flowers; Falling Flowers’ Thousand Spinning Dance!” said Hung Yu Fei, her hands moving gently through the air. With every flick of her wrist, several flowers would shoot forth and hover in the air. With the amount of soul energy she had put into this attack, the sky was practically covered with red flowers.
Wun Fan immediately slipped past the third brother and dashed towards Hung Yu Fei when he saw this.
Hung Yu Fei turned her slender white hand and pulled it downward. The red flowers instantly crashed down from the skies with vicious killing intent, determined to kill tehse two bastards!
The third brother looked at the sky full of red, seemingly at a loss. He didn’t mind that his second brother was usually a little dumb and lustful, but he never expected that he would lose to a mere novice Martial Mortal as an advanced Martial Vassal.
He sighed helplessly in the face of their crisis. However, killing intent flickered in his eyes as he whispered, “Sorry about this, second brother.”
The second brother did not have time to react before his third brother grabbed his body and raised it over his head, shielding himself from the crimson rain.
“Aaaaah!!!”
The red flowers were like dozens of spinning bullets. They drilled into the body, eviscerating muscle, organs and bones alike. A fountain of blood burst into the air and came down as a crimson rain over Wun Fan and Hung Yu Fei. However, two or three of the red flowers had missed their mark and hit the woman lying on the ground instead, leaving a few small wounds in her body.
“Oh no,” cried Hung Yu Fei at the sight of this.
Wun Fan did not bat an eyelid at the splattering blood. However, he did not wish to get his clothes dirty. He raised his hand and unleashed Dragon’s Might, Fierce Blast. A shockwave blasted out of his palm, knocking back the droplets of blood and letting them fall harmlessly on the ground.
The second brother, who had been used as an umbrella by his brother, was dropped unceremoniously to the ground. His blood ran along the snow like a river of red. It was a haunting but eerily beautiful scene. His chest slowly stopped heaving as he gave Wun Fan one last hateful look. He hated himself for not being able to leave a single scratch on the kid. He could not rest in peace because of that. Why couldn’t he beat a kid who was just a novice Martial Mortal? What was the point of his power as an advanced Martial Vassal?
However, above all else, he hated his brother for using him as a human shield. He stared at his third brother with an endless grudge as he heaved his last breath. The blood ran dry from his body. His breathing stopped. He stopped. A corpse was left on the snow.
This was the first time Wun Fan had killed someone in this world!
