One morning three years ago, Hung Yu Fei had only just become a Martial Vassal. She was wandering about the Hung Clan’s mansion, yawning and stretching. The maids couldn’t help but stare at her.
Hung Yu Fei was one of the most talented martial artists to ever be born in the Hung Clan. However, due to her whimsical personality, her training was delayed. Even after three years, she had only just become a Martial Vassal.
In contrast, her peers of the same generation in the four major clans were already Martial Scholars. Every one of them was striving to reach the peak of the martial path.
Hung Yu Fei’s behavior drew plenty of criticism from within the clan. However, her status meant that no one dared to voice these dissenting opinions of theirs. In fact, Hung Yu Fei had relied on her status to get out of trouble many times over the years.
Hung Yu Fei was just as free today as any other day. She wandered around the mansion, strolling in the garden and stretching lazily as she walked. She didn’t like training. She hopped onto the roof of a pavilion and looked down at the scenery around her.
She crossed her legs crassly, in a manner completely unbefitting her status as the young mistress of one of the most powerful clans of the nation.
A middle-aged man slowly stopped in front of the pavilion.
He was dressed in luxurious silk clothes, woven with silver threads and cloths of gold, but the ostentatious clothes fit him well. He appeared regal and the wealth being displayed did not seem excessive at all. A cold wind blew past, pulling gently at his long hair, which fluttered gently back to his shoulder. There were hints of red in his black eyes. He was a gentle and courteous man. Every movement he made felt proper and welcoming at the same time.
All the maids curtsied when he walked past them and said, “Clan leader.”
This man was the clan leader of the Hung Clan’s origin house, the very same clan that held overwhelming influence within the court and of the four major clans of the Naap-Lan Empire. He had a second identity as well: that of the father of the demon wreaking havoc in the capital city, Hung Yu Fei.
He grabbed his right sleeve with his left hand as he waved and said gently, “Come down, Fei.”
Hung Yu Fei was not afraid of anything, except for her father. Hung Yun Gak might seem like a gentle person, but no one could see through the intentions behind his every word, nor guess at his actual emotions.
In all honesty, Hung Yu Fei disliked her father and disliked her status as the one of the only true lineage descendants of the four major clans. Everyone around her was always flattering her, showering her with praise and worship. Even when they hated her to no end, they continued to pretend to love her. Not one of them truly cared about her.
Even when she provoked people into a fight, they would hold back over concern for her status, sometimes even losing on purpose. One time, she intentionally went too hard during practice and her opponent chose injury over blocking her attack.
It was all fake. Just as fake as her own father.
Hung Yu Fei hit the pavilion and slowly descended when she heard Hung Yun Gak’s order. She smoothed over her skirt slightly. In front of her father, even someone like Hung Yu Fei would reign in her personality.
Hung Yun Gak put his hands down, his tone still as calm as always. He raised his eyebrows and smiled as he said, “I heard you gave Elder Hung Wai Lam of the Martial Technique Hall a horrible scolding today. Is that true?”
“That old hag, always smiling at me and trying to teach me martial techniques. It was called the Crimson Kiss something. Just hearing the name makes me want to puke,” said Hung Yu Fei, with a voice full of disdain. She couldn’t help but roll her eyes when she heard the elder’s name. “She even said something about virgin’s blood and capturing a man’s heart or something.”
Hung Yun Gak didn’t express much emotion when Hung Yu Fei badmouthed the elder. However, he was upset when Hung Yu Fei mocked the clan’s martial technique. He stroked Hung Yu Fei gently on the head. Suddenly, he grabbed a few strands of hair with his finger and pulled hard. Hung Yu Fei whined in pain, but he didn’t let go. He said with a smile, “If I don’t see you apologize to the elder at the Martial Technique Hall and learn this martial technique by noon tomorrow…”
“You can be sure I will be dragging out all the trouble you’ve caused over the years and making you pay for every one of them,” said Hung Yun Gak. Having said that, he turned and walked away without any hesitation, leaving one last sentence for his daughter, “I can tolerate your delinquency, but I will not tolerate taking the clan’s teachings lightly.”
Hung Yu Fei shouted angrily at Hung Yun Gak as he walked away, “Why must I learn this technique? What sins did the women of the Hung Clan commit to deserve this?”
Hung Yun Gak paused in the middle of his stride. His right leg hovered above the ground as he said, “It is not the sins of the women of our clan.”
“It is the sins of fickle men in this world,” said Hung Yun Gak before leaving without stopping again.163Please respect copyright.PENANAvnOEzE6Af5
Hung Yu Fei didn’t like false smiles, and she liked being trapped in a world full of false illusions even less. Why do those people continue to pretend like nothing is wrong when they all clearly hate her to the bone?
That was why Hung Yu Fei took advantage of her situation to drug her bodyguards and escape.
It was all too fake. She hated all of it far too much. She hated seeing her father make that same, comforting smile to everyone, even to his own wife and daughter. It made her want to puke.
Wun Fan was the first person to get angry at her, the first person to direct killing intent at her. He was the first person she felt was a real, warm-blooded human being with his own emotions.
Wun Fan might be three years younger than Hung Yu Fei, but she could experience in different world by his side. She could meet all sorts of new experiences. Moreover, she knew that her own mother was one year older than her father. There was nothing strange about an age gap.
Perhaps, this boy had his own charm…
“Maiden’s crimson kiss before a flower, everlasting protection for a lover.”
Hung Yu Fei pressed her lips against a red flower. Soul energy surged from the bottom half of her body towards her lips. A crimson drop of blood seeped out of her lips, even though there was no wound there. It was a bright crimson color, so red that it almost seemed magical.
What kind of blood was this?
The blood drop dripped onto the flower, releasing an intoxicating fragrance. Hung Yu Fei muttered, “Lethality: Crimson Kiss, Flower of Everlasting Protection.”
Hung Yu Fei’s complexion turned pale and ashen upon doing this. She swayed on her feet and coughed, as if she was short of breath.
She took two deep breaths and pressed the bloodstained flower against Wun Fan’s injured thigh. The enchanted blood entered Wun Fan’s body of its own accord. Suddenly, tendrils of flesh started growing rapidly around the wound and Wun Fan’s leg started to itch. In a matter of seconds, the wound had healed completely. Wun Fan was shocked to see this.
It wasn’t just the wound on his leg. The blood drop flowed along his meridians and travelled all over his body, strengthening his meridians and mending the rest of his wounds. The blood drop even entered several vital areas of his body!
The blood split into two. One portion rushed into his martial heart where Li’l Black resided, while the other headed for his mind! Both portions were incredibly persistent!
Wun Fan had no time to examine his wounds. The situation in his body surprised him. He shouted in his own mind, “What’s happening?”
Old Lei sensed the intrusion of this foreign energy almost immediately as well. He manifested his powers immediately, and made a seal. A wave of energy appeared and halted the blood’s movements. He shouted angrily, “It’s that girl’s martial technique!”
Wun Fan didn’t have time to figure out the situation at all. The Spiritstartler Ring on his thumb suddenly exerted his power. An unstoppable attractive force pulled the blood into the ring and purified it instantly!
“That’s it?” said Wun Fan in a puzzled tone. He was still confused about the whole situation.
Old Lei wasn’t sure what happened either. He could only make conjectures, “That drop of blood had no bad intentions behind them, but it had a strong aura of seduction. You could even call it a bewitchment technique.”
Old Lei thought for two seconds and said in a mocking tone, “Kid, aren’t you just so lucky with the ladies?”
Wun Fan ignored him. He snapped back to his senses in the outside world. He looked at Hung Yu Fei squatting on the ground with a pale face and asked in a concerned voice, “Hey, girl, you okay?”
Hung Yu Fei smiled at him weakly.
“Wun Fan, you owe me a drop of blood for the rest of your life,” she said.163Please respect copyright.PENANAdnEBluMZnS
