“It is not the first time you asked like this and came for my suggestion Rose but it is the first time that you came to me with a problem like this.” After hearing everything Rose said to him, Charles said.
When Rose said that she has a very important matter to discuss with him regarding her friend, Charles agreed and both Rose and Nalini were present before him then.
“It is also first time that you cannot give any suggestion to this problem.” Rose sighed heavily and said. “I have expected this Charles. But my friend is very much desperate even to commit suicide for what her mother and husband did. I am hoping that you may change her decision.”
“Don’t come to conclusion Rose, why you are thinking that I cannot give a suggestion to you?” Charles knitted his brows together “I think I can. Let that woman have the baby. Let that guy having the satisfaction of his own son or daughter.”
Immediately Rose and Nalini were exchanged shocking glances. “Charles, do you know what you are talking! That is the baby caused by very two close relatives and it is incest! How you can allow that baby is to take birth?” Rose said and her shock was so clear in her voice and face.
“There may age old complications of her mother which may little affect the pregnancy but there are women who gave birth to healthy children even after their sixties also. You need not bother about the biological problems as there would be no blood relation between a mother in law and son in law.” As if he did not hear what Rose said, Charles said.
“You are thinking only that much Charles, you are thinking only that much?” Rose was vehement. “That is incest Charles, that is incest! The parents of the baby are mother in law and son in law! In fact they both will be simply fried in the hell for what they did.”
“You are a psychiatrist Rose, your talking like this is surprising to me! That incest taboo is mainly to prevent biological problems to the children. Don’t feel religiously and spiritually.”
“I cannot remain without feeling like that Charles, I am not that much impervious of feeling them. I cannot be devoid of fear of god! How much sinful it is, you just tell me.” Rose was still vehement.
“Alright then. We consider this matter now with religious flavour. Is there no incest in our religious books? Adam and Eve are the first people in the world created by god as such they are brother and sister. We are all considered to be the progeny of them. Are not all we out of incest then? Lot’s daughters having sex with their father became pregnant and gave birth to Moab and Ammon. What do you say to this? Is it is not incest then? There are many examples like that and don’t be stunned too much about this.”
“Don’t go that far back into the history and into the bible. Whatever you may say this thing is very much abhorring and no one in this modern world can tolerate. First thing tell me, how much materialist you may be and devoid of religious feeling, can you approve this?” Rose was little vehement this time.
“I don’t say I have no religious feeling Rose, I feel religiously and I have fear for god also. I am not supporting what that has taken place. I am sure of this also that no person on earth can approve incest.” Charles paused for a second as if to reiterate what he was going to say. “But we are talking about something that has taken place. Here the couple are not only very much against the abortion but the pregnancy is in advanced stage and trying to abort the child may be dangerous to the mother also. What would be the best option then?”
“I am still feeling aborting this pregnancy is the best option even at the cost of my mom’s life.” With firmness Nalini said.
“I am not thinking like that. Even we think religiously, nothing takes place without god’s consent and this baby also is because of his decision and let god decides the rest. Let your mom give birth to the child.”
“But what should I say about the baby? A long time back my dad expired and what can be said about the father of the baby? Saying my mom has become pregnant with an illicit affair itself is very much disgracing and shameful not to say it is through her own son in law.” Nalini’s face was with full of anxiousness.
“Take her to some far away place and get the delivery over. Then tell the world that it is your baby or you have adopted it from somewhere. In such a way we need not commit the sin of killing a baby and most possibly the mother of it also.”
Nalini closed her eyes, leaned back in the chair and remained silent. She need not know what to say that.
“This is the only possible solution I can think of. You may try and see if you can get any other better solution. Causing death of two human beings willingly is as much sinful as incest.” It was Charles again.
“I never can accept that baby and even touch it!” Nalini opened her eyes and looked into the face of Charles and it is with full of disgust.
“You just try to understand one thing!” Charles started again. “The baby may be out of the result of a nasty incestuous sexual affair but it is hundred percent innocent and devoid of any fault. Anyhow if you cannot accept the baby, you may give it to anyone whoever wants that or drop it in an asylum. It is better rather than killing the baby.”
“I don’t think anyone in this world comes forward to take the baby if they know how it has been caused.” Nalini said but it seemed she already has come to a decision.
“You are not going to tell about its parental history to anyone even to those who comes forward to adopt it Nalini” Rose said. “Anyhow what Charles has said is appearing as the only solution to me also. Better you do follow it.”
Nalini nodded her head in agreement and after saying thanks to Charles, she went out of that chamber. Then Rose also vacated her chair and went into her chamber to attend on the scheduled patient.

Whatever doubt that has remained in Vasanthi whether to act in that movie or not has been cleared completely when she has heard from her friend Sailaja also that there would no wrong in acting in that movie. She went herself to the office of the movie producers there to sign on the contact and as soon as she signed on the contract, they transferred the promised amount to her account.
“If the movie has become a hit and we earn more, we sure do pay some more to you” the producer of the movie said. “But you have to extend your full cooperation to our team. We have already explained the nature of this movie to you.”
“You explained it and I remembered it well” Vasanthi said but her heart was once again filled with deep uneasy feeling. She has not any boyfriends and never even thought about sex but now she has to act in a sex movie like this!
“Are you feeling very much uneasy of this?” the person who has introduced himself as the director asked.
As Vasanthi did not know the language of those people, the whole conversation was going on in English.
“Yes, of course. On the first day itself I said about this to you. I never have any intention to act not to say to have experience in acting. Now I have to act in a movie like this! I just don’t know how much better I perform” Vasanthi said but she felt fear thinking that they might ask for cancellation of the agreement.
“We do need a girl for this character who is not only beautiful, foreign to our place but no experience whatsoever in acting. Then only whatever we produce appears natural. The whole story starts in our state and ends there and you have stay with us in that state itself until the movie completes.”
“You said about that to me already and I understood!” Vasanthi forced a smile onto her lips.
“I think you do remember the story also.”
“Yes, I remembered it.” Vasanthi forced another smile onto her lips. “After the heroine parents’ death, her uncle took her to this state and sold her to a brothel house for a huge sum. While she is spending time in that brothel house, one young boy who came to her fell in love with her and it is vice versa. Then the brothel house demanded him a very large amount to take the heroine with him and the boy agrees to it. But the heroine does not agree to it and motivates him to fight and save not just for her but all the other girls in that brothel house. With the active help of the heroine the hero can do that and married her also. Briefly this is the story; is it is not?”
“So wonderfully you remembered it!” that director laughed and said. “But you know you have to mentally prepare to sexual incidents in the movie. I hope nowhere you do object whatever we are going to shoot with you.”
Once again Vasanth felt so much uneasily but nodded her head. “I can extend my full cooperation to you, no problem.” She could still remember the happiness in the voice of his brother and in his face when he said there was no objection to them for her acting in that movie. All her family members were in that much need of money and there was no surprise at all in her brother’s feeling like that. She could see the same happiness in her mother’s face and in the face of her father who was bedridden and could not move his body at all.
As it has been promised that all her necessities would be taken care of, Vasanthi transferred all the amount she has received to the bank account of her brother. She could see even more happiness in her brother’s face and parents’ face when she told them about the transfer of money and it surprised her that they were not feeling much for her going to out of state and stay there for a considerable period of time.

Finding Evalla sat in the sofa in the hall, covering her face in her hands Prameela startled, went near to her and slumped on the side of her putting her hand around her shoulders. “Worrying for anything? How did you forget your best friend is here to share your worries and give peace to you?”
“Who is my best friend? Who is feeling so happy that I did not come all these days is my best my friend?” Evalla removed her hands and looked into the face of Prameela straight.
“Eva....I just cannot understand anything. What you are......” Prameela tried to say something.
“She is Okatho, not Evalla.” When she heard that voice, Prameela perched her head up and found Sadan there.
Sadan dragged a chair nearby opposite to them and slumped himself in that.
“Thank you, you still remember me.” Evalla said looking into the face of Sadan. “Why do I blame you both? My own sister does not want me now. How she has forgotten the promise she made to me I cannot understand! How much we loved each other, she has forgotten all about it.” her face was with full of worry.
