“Tell her that I would give five acres of land and fifty tulas of gold” Lamba declared with firmness. “But there must not be any auction.”
Michivako had a head reeling feeling. “You can have her with half of that amount in the auction also sir!”
“Tell your aunt what I said. If there is an auction, I am not going to participate in it at all and you people never can have even one by fourth of that in the auction.” With the same firmness in his voice Lamba said.
With increasing head reeling feeling Michivako came to home and conveyed the news to his aunt.
“Why Lamba is adamant like that? What is the problem if we do conduct an auction for Samyavara? No woman in this family has been initiated into prostitution without an auction till date.” Pilamavo as well was feeling surprise as much as Michivako. “But increased his offering so which is so much luring!”
“But aunt what Lamba said also is absolutely true. We cannot get even one by fourth of what he offered if we conduct an auction for her. He made quite clear to me that he would not participate in the auction at all if we conduct one for her.”
“Did he say so?” with a sudden shocking feeling Pilamavo asked him.
“He said like that and I believe hundred percent that he would not participate in auction at all for her if we have one for Samyavara.” There was a fearful expression in the face of Michivako also.
“Then go and tell him that he can have Samyavara for the first time without any auction for five acres of land and fifty tulas gold.” Suddenly there came a determination in her face. “Just go and tell him we are going to arrange it for him in two days.”
Michivako turned and was about to go out of the house as fast as he came but then the village chief Nuvvasuro entered into the house. He just stopped holding Michivako by holding his both shoulders with his both hands and said. “I think that you are going to that Lamba’s house with all the speed possible but just a moment.”
Michivako removed the hands of Nuvvasuro from his shoulders, took two feet back and looked into his aunt’s face before looking into the face of Nuvvasuro again. “What’s the matter sir?”
“Do you people are going to arrange Samyavara’s first time with Lamba straight without any auction?” Nuvvasuro asked straight looking into the face of Pilamavo.
Pilamavo and Michivako both were startled on hearing that and looked into each other’s faces.
“Yes, of course.” Pilamavo nodded her head. “Even we arrange an auction for her first time, no one can pay as much amount as he is going to; so anyhow he is going to have her for the first time.”
“Initiation of woman in prostitutes’ family after her maturity must be through auction only and it is followed so rigorously till this moment in your family. For any reason it should not be broken. Conduct the auction and ask him participate in it. If he is the person going to pay huge amount for that, he would get her for the first time.” With the same placid expression in his face Nuvvasuro said.
“He would not at all participate if we conduct an auction. If we conduct auction for her first time, we have to bear huge loss as no would pay even one by fourth of what Lamba offered.” Pilamavo said with a voice full of disappointment.
Nuvvasuro was a very good person and occasionally he also would come to her to have it with her. He always would be gentle to her and the amount he pays also would be generous.

Do you people know the reason behind Lamba’s asking you so?” Nuvvasuro laughed and said. “Samyavara’s mother was a very beautiful woman and some rich people who had it with her got a very good impression on her and they still remember it. Her daughters also are that much beautiful and they are all thinking that they can have such an impression with them also. All those rich men have been so eagerly waiting that they do become women and the news of Samyavara’s becoming a woman spread like wild fire everywhere. Now they want that first time with her and ready to pay any much amount for it. Lamba cannot compete with them in auction at all and is trying to have an underhand bargain like this with you people.”
“Is it can be true?” Pilamavo and Michivako exchanged unbelievable glances and Pilamavo said.
“Why you are thinking that Lamba suddenly took Michivako to his home? Everyone in the village knows that Michivako is the son of Lamba and why did not he prefer to take him to his home till this date.” Nuvvasuro said looked into the face of Michivako. “He is just trying to fuck your sister first time at the lowest price possible.”
“The price he offered is not lowest” Michivako said. “I don’t think five acres of land and fifty tulas of gold is the lowest to my sister however much beautiful she is and it is her first time.”
“Once the auction conducted, you can know how much lower the price that Lamba offered to your family.” Nuvvasuro laughed “Your mother has such an impression on those men and they are all just crazy to have her daughter with however much amount they have to pay.”
“I don’t think any of them would pay that much amount to my sister for her first time.” with a despairing expression Michivako said. “If we conduct an auction for it, it will be a big loss to us as Lamba would not participate in it.”
“But you just cannot let someone to have her first time without an auction. It is against the rules established and we never allow it to be happen so.” Then Nuvvasuro looked into the face Pilamavo. “Believe me. Just let the auction to be held. You will be amazed at the price going to be quoted for Samyavara. Auction will be held not just for her first time but upto her third time also. If our Lamba is so much lucky he will be a successful bidder to her third time atleast.”
“Until it happens so, we cannot believe it” Pilamavo said with a despairing expression in her face also. “We make arrangements for the auction just in two days and we hope it will be as you said to us.”
Nuvvasuro nodded his head and went away from that place.
“If we offer our sister first time with Lamba without auction, village would not get its cut from the amount he would pay to us. It is not so if an auction is held publicly as the village also has beautiful share in the amount paid for her. That is why he is worrying like this.” Michivako angrily said.
“Anyhow we cannot avoid conducting auction for Samyavara now.” Hissing out heavily Pilamavo said “What Nuvvasuro said also is true. No woman in our family has her first time without an auction.” She paused for a second and said again. “Now is the time that we do go to Samyavara and prepare her for this.”

“Its not going to be like that. If you also cooperate with that gentleman, it shall be just pleasure.” Then Pilamavo remembered her first time and shuddered. The person who had her for the first time was a brute and there was only pain to her. She was praying to god it should not be so to Samyavara.
“Alright. I shall cooperate with him.” Samyavara nodded her head. “As he is going to pay huge amount to us, I extend as much cooperation as he needs.”
“If you do it like that; it shall be just pleasure to you.” Michivako said. “The next day you will tell us, it will be so good to you.”
Samyavara nodded her head and remained silent. Then suddenly her sister asked. “When I am going to do all that sister would do?”
“You first have to become a woman to expect to do such type of things.” With a smile on her lips Pilamavao said.
“What is that becoming a woman?” frowns gathered on the forehead of her.
“You both go and I tell her all about it.” Samyavara said. “I am not feeling any fear and you people need not tell me anything more. Leave my sister and I all alone and I tell her everything that is important.”
Pilamavo and Michivako looked into each other’s faces with smiles and left that place then.

Samyavara was dressed with the best clothes and further she made to stand under the huge banyan tree where richest people sat in the chairs opposite to her and common people stood behind them. Neither Pilamavo nor Michivako expected that many number of rich people would attend to that auction. What even more surprised them was Lamba also presented among them. In addition to all of those, village chief Nuvvasuro also was present just in the usual way. His duty was to conduct the auction in a peaceful manner, take the cut off the village from the amount paid by the bidder or to arrange for the cut if the amount was going to be paid to use it later on for the village welfare.
“Each one of these people fucked your mother at one time or other in those days.” Pilamavo murmured in the ear of Michivako. “That much I can remember!”
“Even after used by the rich people like these, why our family remained poor like that?” with gathered frowns and with the same small voice, Michivako asked.
“I cannot say, I just cannot say.” After saying that Pilamavo once again turned her head towards the people there.
“I think you all people very well know the prostitute of this village Arimano with whom all you people were associated with one time or the other. My father attended the auction for the initiation of Arimano into the profession and I have to say with pride my father and I also could have her in different times. Arimano was not just beautiful but has a skill to make all the men who came to her utmost happy. She has the largest heart to accommodate a poor man also with smallest money. Almost all the village men here have the taste of her cunt. But quite unfortunately she left this world at her forty years of age itself leaving one son and two daughters. Her sister Pilamavo also has been living with that family for a long time following the profession with the same dedication. Arimano’s son Michivako is her pimp arranging the men for her in the best way.” Nuvvasuro paused for a second looking into the faces of the rich people there before continuing again.
“Arimano has two daughters Samyavara and Asamayva both are as much beautiful as her mother and wanted to follow the footsteps of her mother as devotedly as possible. Both of them also wanted to do as much justice to their profession as their mother did. But it is Samyavara who got that opportunity first and there is no surprise also. As she is elder to Asamayva by two years and aged thirteen years and she got her womanhood just two months back. As every woman in the prostitute’s family must be initiated into the profession not later than three months after she became a woman, her aunt Arimano and brother Michivako wanted to put her into the profession conducting the auction for her first time. This is a rule in this village all you people know that woman in the prostitution after she became a woman must not be initiated into it without an auction. So this is an auction for Samyavara, daughter of Arimano whom we all still like and love, for her first time. That family does not want to put any initial bargaining price on her and it is as per your people wish to start with even with an ana.” In the end Nuvvasuro smiled.
