“Hello, Nalini, how do you do? It is indeed after a very long time and that too early in the morning like this! Tell me how is everything!” Rose did not expect an early morning call like that from Nalini and has a sinister feeling.
“Just disastrous! I just want to go and hang myself and before doing that I want to call to you and say thanks for your great help.” Nalini’s voice was very much vehement.
“So your mother has not been cured from that problem I think.” Rose did not forget about Nalini’s mother’s problem. “Could she manage to have it with some guy in that area also?”
“Not just that. You bloody incompetent psychiatrist, it is not just that.” Her voice was even more vehement. “She is pregnant now. At the age of sixty years, my mom has become pregnant. I think that it explains a lot to you and how better your hypnotherapy worked.”
“My god! Did it happen like that?” With shock Rose asked her.
“Don’t feel that much surprise now itself. There is icing on the cake and I did not tell you the whole thing yet.” Nalini’s voice has sarcastic flavour to it then.
“Just tell me what it is?” trying to control her speedy heart Rose said. “How could she manage to have it even after you changed the place? Could she manage to locate guys for it?”
“If she did it like that and has that pregnancy by some outside guy, I would have felt lot happy now.”
“I just cannot understand what you are saying, I just cannot.” Rose’s heart speed increased to the maximum and her heart completely filled with anxiousness. Nalini was such a good friend to her and she just could not tolerate if she has been suffering from some problem. “Tell me straight what really took place?”
“What really took place you incompetent psychiatrist Dr.Rose.........” every word from Nalini was just like a bullet and going straight into the heart of Rose, “..........this time she did not bother to have it with any other guy. To have it I think that she found my husband was quite convenient and handsome. That nymphomaniac did not think that her son in law is just like a son to her and managed to have it with him. If you don’t get it yet into your head, I put it straight like this. This time she managed to have it with her son in law, that means, my husband, and my husband that means her son in law caused the pregnancy to her. My husband is going to be the father of my mom’s daughter!”
“My god! That is incest!” Rose’s voice shivered while saying that.
“Did I say by mistake that so wonderful and marvellous thing took place in my life you incompetent fool Dr.Rose?” Nalini was yelling this time. “I just don’t know who gave you the certificate to practice psychiatry. Just because of your failure to treat a psychiatric patient, it has happened.”
“I agree. I hundred percent agree I was a failure when it comes to your mom. But now we need to think of what we have to do rather than becoming hysteric like this. You just please come to my house straight away and we both think about this matter.” Rose recovered herself from the shock a little and managed to say that.
“You are still thinking that I do come to you for any help in this regard?” Nalini was still very much angry. “Anyhow are you thinking that you can be any help to me now?”
“I sure can be lot of help to you and you too know about it Nalini.” Rose’s voice was firm. “You too know about it in full. You phoned to me this early in the morning not just to scold me. You know pretty well that I can do help to you now and called. Just come straight to my house and then we discuss everything in detail.”
There was no answer from the other side except heavy breathing sound.
“Or if you want me I come there. In either way we both have to meet in half an hour and discuss about this. Just remember how we both used to suggest each other, giving advice to each other and solve our problems. We are going to deal with this also. Where we do meet just tell me?” the firmness was just so in the voice of Rose.
“It is not just a simple problem to solve. There are some things more I did not tell you yet.” With a small voice Nalini said.
“I do hear everything only when we both are together. Just tell me where we can meet now?” Rose was vehement.
“Can you meet me in the house then? If we meet here you can talk with my mother and my husband also.” Nalini said.
“I shall be there just in half an hour.”
Nalini already told Rose where they were living and it did not take more than half an hour to Rose to reach that place.

“You tell me what should I do now?” as soon as Rose settled in her room on the bed beside Nalini, she burst into weeping closing her face in her hands.
“Rascal, what happened to that Sanjan? I never have thought that he would behave this worse! Even animals are better to him. He always appeared like a gentleman to me.” Rose angrily said.
“The shock is not yet over! There is more and more icing on the cake. Both my mom and that bastard are not ready for the abortion.” Removing her hands from her face, Nalini said.
“What? What they do tell about the baby to the world?” it was even more shocking to Rose.
“I cannot say. Forgetting how much heinous thing they did, the whole night I try to make them both understand how much important it is to abort that pregnancy. But both are adamant to keep it.”
“My god! I just don’t know what to say!” With a helpless expression in her face Rose nodded her head. “I am sorry. I am the reason for this situation. If your mom has been shown to any other psychiatrist, the situation would have been different.”
“I just did not know what I was talking with you over phone Rose but I am not thinking like that. If you cannot cure my mom’s disease no one can. Anyhow I am not worrying at present how to cure my mom from her disease but how to solve this problem.” Suddenly the expression in the face of Nalini changed. “The doctor said mom’s pregnancy is in advanced stage and aborting the pregnancy is dangerous to her life also.”
“Then it is something that we need to think carefully.” Rose said with gathered frowns.
“I have thought already. There is no problem even she dies. We just have to find a doctor to do the abortion.”
“I never let that happen so.” Both of them startled on hearing that. It seemed that Sanjan was hearing their conversation from outside the room inconspicuously and he suddenly entered into that room. “I never allow my baby to be killed like that.”
“Sanjan you rogue, you know what you are talking?” Nalini got off from the bed, went fast to Sanjan and slapped on his right cheek with her right hand with all her might. “She is your mother in law. What relationship you do say with the child you have caused through her?”
“I think about that later. But I don’t lose my child. I just want to have it at all costs.” Sanjan’s voice was firm.
“Mr.Sanjan” Rose also got off from the bed and went near to him. “First thing it is quite astonishing to me that you could have sexual affair with a woman who is like a mother to you without any moral conscience. The next thing even more astonishing to me is without thinking what to say to the world, you are adamant like this to have the baby. Just use your mind. What you have both were indulged in was the first rate incest and the baby is the result of it. Getting it aborted is the only solution to this problem.”
“That is what I have been telling to this scoundrel and to that wretched woman and both are not trying to understand!” Nalini yelled angrily.
“You shut up barren and incapable woman! You cannot give yourself a child to me and some other one is doing it, you just cannot bear it.” there was full irritation in the face of Sanjan while he was looking into the face of Nalini.
It was just like a whiplash and Nalini’s face filled with full shock! “I just don’t know how you have become this much numb Sanjan! If this is any other woman giving a baby like this to you, I certainly would have approved it. But rascal it is your mother in law, who is as per law mother to you, is pregnant now because of you and going to be the mother of your baby. How you became that much senseless I just cannot understand!”
“I am not in a mood to make arguments with you Nalini. I am going to have this baby and I do have it. That is all.” After saying that he went away from that place fast.
“I just don’t know....I just don’t know....” once again Nalini became ready to burst into weeping.
“Enough weeping. We go and talk with your mother now. Come.” Rose got off from the bed and both of them went into the room of Malathi.
“Once he wants the baby that much, I cannot agree to the abortion. My daughter cannot give one to him at all and I am making up for that deficiency in this way as her mother.” As soon as Rose started trying to make her agree for the abortion, Malathi said.
“One thing for which I am feeling so sorry is; why could not I kill you on the day when your disgusting sexual affairs with other guys came into light. If I have killed you on that day itself, I need not have faced this situation now. You bloody wretched woman, do you know whose child you are having in your womb? It is the baby of your son in law, your son as per law. If any other woman were in your place, she would have died with shame even to think about such a thing!” Nalini was once again yelling vehemently.
“I cannot argue with you. But I have taken the decision. I cannot deprive my son in law of his pleasure of having a baby.” Malathi was firm and persistent.
Malathi yelled, cajoled and coaxed her mother for a long time to have the abortion to get rid of the sin in her womb but Malathi was adamant. In the end she was exhausted and felt drained of all her strength. Rose also tried to make her agree to abort her pregnancy but the result was the same.
“Don’t ask me what to do now. I myself am very much in confusion in this regard.” Rose said with irritation in her face. “And please don’t burst into weeping again. That also does not help.”
“No Rose, there is a choice to me now. I can do one of the two things.” Suddenly there was a determined expression in the face of Nalini. “I can go and hang myself or kill those both.”
Rose expected that she might say something like that so she did not feel shock. “Certainly. But before you exercise either of that option, we do something.”
“What is it?” Nalini knitted her brows together. “Still you are feeling that we can do something in this regard?”
“Of course, yes.” Rose nodded her head. “My senior Charles is more matured and experienced psychiatrist. We do talk with him and listen what he would say. If he too fails to give any reasonable solution to this problem, I help you in exercising one of those two options.”
“Alright then” Nalini nodded her head.
