Prameela and Viswanadh looked into each other faces anxiously. They could not rule out such a possibility at all.
“Moreover I may try to do harm to your dad also.” The anxiousness was just so in the face of Evalla.
“We cannot say that there is no such possibility.” Prameela said. “We think about what to do. You don’t unnecessarily feel worry about it.”
“There is only one thing that we have to do now.” With a sudden firmness in her voice Evalla said. “We need to ask that psychiatrist to do something to relieve me from that character Okatho. Then only we all can feel safe.”
“That is the exact thing we need to do now, Pramee............” Viswanadh said looking into the face of his daughter “...............as there is ample opportunity to happen what Evalla is feeling fear.”

“It is indeed a pleasant site that you three come to me to talk like this!” Rose laughed and leaned back in the chair. “I am just feeling very much eager to hear what you are going to say.”
Prameela and Viswandh thought that it would be better to take Evalla also with them when they go to meet Rose in BAMC. So they met her in her chamber in BAMC at the scheduled time.
“But what I do say is not pleasant doctor.” Then Prameela explained to her how Evalla tried to kill her and how her dad intruded in the last moment and saved her from death.
“I am feeling fear that bloody Oakatho may make me do such attempts in future also. I am feeling fear that I may cause potential harm to my husband and daughter.” Suddenly with an anxious expression in her face Evalla said. “I don’t want it to happen like that. I don’t want any harm to be done either to my husband or to my daughter by me.”
“Your fear is not groundless dear and I do really appreciate your concern regarding your people.” Rose balanced her both arms on the table in between their chairs. “Your coming forward yourself for treatment to your psychological disorder is indeed a very good sign.”
“Then is it is possible to relieve me from that devil fast? You just don’t know how much desperate I am to be freed from it and lead a happy life with my family.” With eagerness Evalla asked Rose.
“Here I want to be frank with you three.” Suddenly with a serious expression in her face Rose said. “I never give any false hopes to anyone and I cannot do so now either. Split-personality problems or multiple personality problems are difficult to deal with. Sometimes we may have to advise the subjects to adjust with the personalities and lead their rest of lives with them depending upon the situation.”
“So you are going to suggest my wife also just to do it like that? Live the rest of her life adjusting with the other character in her? Then I must say we have chosen a wrong psychiatrist for my wife.” Viswanadh’s face was filled with angry on hearing that.
“I did not suggest anything like that to your wife yet Mr.Viswanadh and if necessary be I may suggest that to her also.” Leaning back in the chair and looking into the face of Viswanadh straight Rose said. “I always try to be a sincere psychiatrist. I do never mind if you find another psychiatrist for your wife’s treatment. But I am thinking it is my responsibility to put the facts as they are before you.”
“Dad, please try to be patient and listen whatever she is going to say.” Looking into the face of Viswanadh, Prameela said. “We all very well know that Dr.Rose is a famous and reputed psychiatrist.”
“I am sorry doctor.” With a regretful expression in his face Viswanadh said. “Please tell us whatever you want to say.”
“Your wife’s split-personality disorder is not a recent one. She has been suffering from it for a long time. Even from her childhood I think. To remove a character at once which has been in her for such a long time is not possible. I already said, if we do mistakes in her treatment, there is a grave danger that character may become permanent in her. That means we find only that Okatha all the time in her body and no Evalla.”
“You have told us about this danger doctor.” Prameela said with a fear filled heart. That thought itself was very much fearful to her.
“We don’t know anything about the other character Okatho except it wants the grace of a bad god Amsara and wants to take revenge on her enemies. Curing a split-personality disorder depends upon the strength of that character also. So far by what has taken place we can say that it is a very powerful character. If we try to remove it from Evalla’s body without its consent, it may be turned out even more violent. Just remember her trying to strangle Prameela was only because of her knowing that we are trying to expel it from Evalla’s body. So.....”
“Doctor, here I cannot understand one thing!” Prameela interrupted and said. “You are talking as if there is really some Okatho in Evalla’s body. Is it is not just the creation of subconscious of Evalla?”
“Absolutely so, you need no doubt in it at all.” Nodding her head positively Rose said “But don’t think just because it is our mind it would not act opposite to us. We don’t know the reasons for certain but her subconscious created the character Okatho in her. Unless we know the reasons for the creation of that Okatho, we cannot do anything to her.”
“I am thinking doctor that the life she has spent till she entered into the orphanage has the answers to this question.” Prameela said. “We don’t know where she lived and in which environment she lived before she got the shelter in that orphanage but that may be the reason for her split-personality.”
“It is indeed surprising to me that I have spent such a long time somewhere else and I don’t remember any of that.” with a shocking expression in her face Evalla asked. “I just cannot believe that.”
“But it is absolutely so dear! I already told you.” looking into Evalla’s face Prameela said. “That was what I have learnt from that Madhumathi regarding you beside other things. I don’t know why did not she prefer to say that to you at any point of time I cannot understand!”
“Not just she, the proprietor there previous to her also never told me about those things. My god! I just don’t know how to take any of this!” the shocking expression in the face of Evalla turned out to be anxiety.
“Easy my girl! Here are two people worrying so much for you and moreover you are in the hands of a best psychiatrist in the world. Just be relaxed!” with her charming smile on her lips Rose said.
“Yes, Eva. There is no necessity to you to worry. We do anything for you and you just be tension free.” Viswanadh said.
“First thing you need to understand.....” once again Rose stooped forward in the chair and balanced her arms on the table in between.”..........that other character is nothing but a creation of your own mind. It is just a part of your mind and with will power and determination you can control it.”
“I just cannot understand how my own mind can create a character like that without my knowledge! If it is so how you can say it’s my own mind?” Evalla exclaimed.
“Mind is the most complex thing in the entire world.” Rose said. “The first thing that opposes you most in the world is our own mind. You want to think something but it does think another thing. You don’t want to remember a particular incident but all the time it remembers only that. It is our every day experience and I need not tell you more. So you need not feel that much surprise to know that the character in you is created by your own mind and you can absolutely control it.”
“Alright doctor” Evalla nodded her head as if she understood what she has heard. “Let me know what should be done now?”
“I am going to tell that to you now.” Rose once again reclined in the chair and adjusted herself for more comfort. “That time she spent before entering into that orphanage is appearing crucial. I do try to know about it by putting her under hypnosis. But here I am suspecting something.”
“What is that doctor?” with a curious expression in his face Viswanadh asked her and such curious expressions have come into the faces of Evalla and Prameela also. Those three of them were feeling the curiosity in the equal measure to know about it.
“She was twelve years or so old by then and does not remember anything. But she came to the orphanage. How and why she came to that orphanage without going to anywhere else? How a girl who did not remember anything straight came to an orphanage as if she knew that she could get shelter in it?”
The three of them looked into the faces of each other. “I just cannot get what do you want to say doctor.” Prameela confusingly said and the situation of Evalla and Viswanadh also was just the same.
“I am thinking that someone has taken her upto that orphanage and left her there. And....” Rose paused for a second as if to reiterate what she was going to say. “.................that someone might cause the memory loss in her so. I mean programmed her under hypnotism not to remember anything.”
“My god! Could such a thing has happened with me?” Evalla’s face was filled with shock.
“It is just my assumption. I cannot say that it would have happened exactly like that.” Rose said.
“You are right doctor. There was such a possibility also.” Viswanadh said and Prameela also nodded her head in agreement.
“Anyhow, whether she has been programmed to forget her past or it has happened like that by some other reason, knowing about it is important. I think if we may know about that past of her, we may know about the reasons for creation of Okatho also. Once we know about her that past and the reasons behind the emergence of that Okatho, I think it is not difficult to deal with her psychological disorder. So the first thing we have to do is; we need to know about her twelve years or so of past. I do put her under hypnosis and try to know about it. I want to do that on next Wednesday evening which is just day after tomorrow.”
“Okay doctor, it is agreeable to me.” Evalla said.
“It is equally agreeable to me and my daughter also.” With a smile on his lips Viswanadh said looking into the face of Prameela and Prameela nodded her head in agreement.
“I cannot rule out the possibility of dangerous things to happen like her strangling Prameela because of that disorder. But we cannot hasten anything! We need to be very much careful while treating a split-personality disorder. You both need to be careful and don’t ask irritating questions when that Okatho exposes in her body.”
“Alright doctor. I remember this.” Prameela said but her heart once again filled with fear when she remembered her experience in the hands of Evalla. In fact she did not say anything irritating to her at that moment. Now they came and talked with this psychiatrist also to know about dealing with that split personality character. She did not know how that Okatho would react if she knew about it.
“I am telling you to the three of you just feel relaxed. That Okatho is nothing but the creation of Evalla’s mind and it can be controlled. Very soon I am going to start something to deal with it.”
‘That is what creating even more fear in me’ Prameela thought in herself but said. “Alright doctor. We remember it.”
Then the three of them take leave of her and came outside.
