“No, Charles. I could not manage to read the book completely but some of it. But in that some portion itself you shocked me and surprised me! Beginning is good! Whatever you have said regarding animals may be true even it is not based on research.”
“Not based on research! I have told it so only after thorough search in the net.” Charles face was filled with an irritating expression.
“Even then also you did not do your own research and we don’t know whether those articles in the net are published after thorough research or not. Anyhow we need not worry about it much. I want to discuss on the other points you mentioned it.”
“You are trying to downgrade my book and discourage me Rose.” With anger and disappointing expression in his face Charles said.
“I am sorry Charles. I just involuntarily said what I felt. I should not have said like that.” Rose’s face was filled with regret which she was feeling genuinely then.
“Alright, alright. In fact I am very much happy that you are frank like that. Now tell me what that much shocked you in my book? What is there really that much surprised famous psychiatrist Rose?” Charles filled his lips with a small smile even though he was not feeling good in himself.
“You said that women want to be inferior to men in sex so she is interested to be on downside during sex. How preposterous that statement is Charles and how can you say it like that? What research you did and what study you conducted to say it so?” remembering that Rose indeed became angry.
“Does it need that much of research and study Rose? You tell me Rose what other reason would be there for it?” Charles startled a little but did not show his feeling in his face.
“Charles, a famous and reputed psychiatrist like you do come to opinions like this!” Rose said with surprise in her face. “It almost so everywhere just because it is such convenient posture. But not because woman wants to be inferior to man. That is absolutely wrong and I think you better change that. Moreover.....” Rose paused a second before saying. “.....that is not the only posture that would be adopted during sex. In all other postures also women do participate in the same way.”
Charles remained silent as he did not know what to say to that.
“You further supported your statement by saying women want to be inactive and passive just because they like to be inferior. You said it so that women want the dominant position of men in sex. This is also equally unsupportive and insulting to women. You may better get it also changed.” Then anger and vehemence in Rose was substantially decreased.
“It seems that you may ask me to change whole of my book. You don’t like anything that I did say about women. Think again Rose! If you sincerely feel like that, I certainly do change. Of course, I did not do any research or study but wrote that book only after full thought. I did not write that book with male bias. I wrote that book as a human being. You also think like a human being without female bias and tell me. What I have said is wrong?”
That indeed put Rose into thinking! Of course, it was indeed convenient to lay down having the man top during sex! But reversing that position makes the release slower and woman can move her hips instead of man in that way taking a dominant position. Then why mainly the most common woman downside position is adopted almost everywhere?
Women also be active and participate in equal measure in sexual acrobatics and she knew mostly and her personal experience also, that they want to be inactive and passive letting the man do whatever he wants. If she would think about it without female bias what Charles said also is appearing reasonable.
“Thinking without female bias changed your opinion a little, is it is not Rose?” still looking into the face of Rose, Charles asked her.
Rose’s cheeks were blushed on hearing that. “I cannot argue Charles. But I am thinking that some revision is necessary in your book.”
“I certainly agree with it Rose. Do you want to make any more discussion in this matter?”
“For the present I can remember only that Charles. When I complete that book we do have another discussion.” Suddenly her face was brightened “I forgot to ask you something. Williams also interested in reading that book. If you agree I give it to him to read.”
“So you said to him about my book.” Charles laughed and said.
“Yes, I did.” Rose smiled.
Charles face became little serious. “I am not seeing any loss if he also reads that book. But unless it is finalised in all respects, I think it is better that you and me only read it. Anyhow if he is persistent to read that book, give it to me to read I have no objection.” Charles said.
“Williams never will be persistent like that” continuing the same smile Rose said. “I tell him what you said to me and he can understand and wait until it has become final.”
“That is indeed nice Rose” Charles nodded his head. “However how everything is going in between you both? Is everything alright? I know about the condition of Williams prior to marriage, so I am asking like this.”
“I can understand that Charles. So far so good.” Rose said but her face was suddenly became serious. “It is not something we have not guessed before Charles but sometimes it is becoming difficult to cope with. Whenever Williams remembers those past incidents, he is becoming vehement and violent. I am facing lot of difficult to control him in such situations.”
“Are you giving that hypnotherapy treatment still?”
“Yes, I am! In fact that treatment is keeping him in his control to some extent. He is going to his office and doing everything in the way it ought to be. He is becoming violent and vehement mostly only in the home.” Rose said.
“If it is just like that we can say that there is big improvement in him Rose, you need not worry about it. It is hardly one year or so that ghastly incident took place and we cannot expect more than this change in him by now. We need to be patient and at the same time be very careful also with him. Finding his own mother with a servant in the home would have very much serious effect in a man like Williams.” In the end there was a cautious expression in the face of Charles.
“You are absolutely right. That only thing causes his mental state upside down sometimes.” Rose sighed heavily and said. There were other incidents also which were making Williams upset but Rose did not want to discuss about them with Charles then.
“That Margaret! What a nice and charming woman she is! I never have expected such a horrifying past to her. I never even could guess that she would have committed such grave wrongs!” suddenly Charles face was with surprise.
“Still Margaret is very charming woman Charles, I have very high respect on her even now also.” Rose long before told Charles what made Williams mad like that and about Margaret and other things related to Williams’ family. What she did not discuss with Charles was; how she made Williams’ came to his senses while he was in that mildly mad state.
“I think anyone in her place would have behaved just like that. She has been manipulated very cleverly by that rogue Stuart alias Dibbu. But she took control over the Mammooth Enterprises and could keep Dibbu also away from it even though she was under his control till the end. It was indeed her greatness and courage that she put an end to his life and her life also in the end.” Rose said.
“It is quite unbelievable to me how a servant like Stuart at that Raja Prathap could do so! He has become a don creating his own empire! He has very big nasty plans to rule this world. That Margaret did a nice thing by killing him like that.” Charles exclaimed!
After the death of Stuart alias Dibbu so many surprising things came into light and Rose has shared all of them with Charles also.
“You are right. I too never have expected that Dibbu was such a personality. He is a wonderful actor I must say. He used to be that much obedient even a long time loyal and faithful servant also could not behave like that. My mother in law scolded him and treated him in the lowest manner probably because he asked her to do so not to get the doubt of the other people on them.”
“Both are wonderful actors in the first place whatever may be they are in the next place. Until that moment, until Williams remembered all that so, she too did not make anyone get any suspicion on her.” Charles said.
“I am inclined to agree with you on this also Charles.” Rose said and suddenly her face brightened “I have forgotten to tell you. That Margaret has written a book also with all her life incidents and we got hold of that after her death. I think that she wanted us to read it and know about her life and everything related to it, so she left it conspicuous somewhere and we got it. Williams and I are reading it in the nights whenever we can.”
“It is very much surprising to me to know that she has written a book also. What astounding facts you have come to know about her past life Rose?” Charles stooped forward in the chair and balanced his arms on the table in between.
“Not very much astounding to be frank” Rose sighed heavily and leaned back in the chair. “After learning why Williams have become mildly mad like that, whatever I have guessed about her has almost come true. She borne in a prostitutes’ family and forced to do it on some occasions. As the time was going like that Stuart entered into her life and became successful in getting her love also and later on maintained a relationship with her. But from the very beginning he set his eyes on her, he had his cunning plan. It was just part of his plan that he made her join in the office of Raja Prathap, Raja Prathap fell in love with her and marrying her later and begetting Williams and Jasmine. On one day Raja Prathap came to know about the illicit relationship of his wife and that Stuart, which caused heavy heart attack to him and further his death.”
Rose sighed heavily remembering what ghastly truths Raja Prathap came to know on that day. It was not just about his wife’s illicit relationship with Stuart, he came to know that Jasmine was not his daughter but Stuart’s
“So she wrote all that in that book?” Charles knitted his brows together and once again leaned back in the chair.
“Yes, of course.” Rose nodded her head. “We have not yet finished that book. In one or two days I think we may complete it.”
“And then don’t forget to tell me what other important things you came to know by reading that book.” Charles sighed heavily and suddenly his face became serious. “You have been reading this book along with Williams? You do know very well about his sensitive situation. There is every chance that he may become vehement and violent.”
