“I also thought like that and prevented him from reading that book for a long time. But he is adamant to know about the story of his mother and eventually I have to give up and agree with his wish to know about the contents of it. But I have put the condition that he has to read it only in my presence and in no other time and it is just going like that.” Rose once again sighed heavily.
“What has been his reaction while you both have been going through the sensitive matters in that book? Is he becoming emotional and violent but remain calm and control himself?” once gain Charles knitted his brows together.
“I don’t say that he has been controlling himself without becoming emotional but situation is not that much worse as I feared. Whenever he becomes emotional I can manage him to get hold of himself.” She paused for a second before saying again. “I thought it may be good for him to know what exactly has taken place in the life of his mother. I would have made him not to read it at all but this was the other reason for my agreeing to it.”
“Your thinking is appearing reasonable to me also Rose.” Charles said. “We hope the best. But just remember! If there is ever any necessity this BAMC and myself personally are always available to you to help.”
Rose laughed mellifluously and said “That you need not tell me particularly at all.”

From the moment he knew the truth, Anirudh did not know whether to feel happy or fear. It was indeed very good to him to hear that Charita was pregnant, he was going to become a father. It was indeed a very nice and thrilling idea to him to think that he was going to be a father but he still could remember the warning Dr.Rose made on that day. She strongly recommended to him not to let her become pregnant until they could be sure she was in all respects normal.
“What you are thinking dear?” Charita’s putting her hand around his neck and kisisng on his right cheek took him into this world. “The idea that you are going to be a father is very much thrilling to you, is it is not?” looking into his face straight she asked him.
“Who would not feel happy and thrilled knowing that he is going to be a father?” Anirudh laughed and hugged her tightly. “Yes, I am feeling so happy that I do get the status of a father soon. But I sure can say I don’t feel as much happy as you are in this regard. Your happiness with the hope of becoming a mother shall be quite more with my happiness for the status of a father.”
He just did not want to discuss about his fear of her pregnancy then with her. She was appearing so normal and usual for the last few days and he was just hoping and wishing the situation to be continued so.
“You are absolutely right.” he could see all her happiness in her laughter. “You know one thing! I just did not expect that I would be this much happy for this. I never have thought becoming a mother would bring me this much joy! I just don’t know how much happy I do feel once I become a mother. First tell me, do you want a boy or girl?” suddenly she knitted her brows together.
“A girl just like as much beautiful and charming as you are.” With a smile on his lips he said.
“I don’t really bother for a particular sex. Whether it is a boy or girl, its the same to me. Anyhow as you do want a girl particularly, let it be so I have no objection. We are going to have a girl.” She said as if she has come to an agreement on that.
“Are you thinking that it is in our hands to have a girl or boy?” Anirudh laughed. “Its in the hands of god and we have to welcome the baby in the equal manner whether it is boy or girl.”
“No I am not thinking like that.” With gathered frowns Charita said. “If I strongly wish it to be a girl, it will be a girl. I am strongly wishing that it would be a girl and it certainly will be a girl. You can have your so much cherished girl baby.”
“Thank you very much!” he kissed on her right cheek again and then relieved gently himself from her hold. “You know I am preparing for civil services and I am doing it only because you asked me to do. If you sleep, after studying some time I do also come and sleep along with you.”
“You are not studying just for sometime. You are studying for lot of time until it is one or so. Your health will be spoiled if you study like that.” Suddenly there was concern in her face.
“To achieve certain goals we have to work hard like that. I have started preparing for civil services examination mainly because you asked me to do. Don’t worry about my health as I shall be careful and get enough sleep. You just fell asleep. If you do feel uncomfortable to sleep in this lighting, I go outside to study.”
“It is not so, I want you to be with me. There is no problem even the light goes on like this.” She once again put her both hands around his neck and kissed straight on his lips. “How it is if we both have it together before I slip into sleep.”
“It is not wise to have it once you are pregnant like this. It may be proved dangerous to the baby.” Anirudh said with cautious expression in his face. He also wanted to have it with her then but he was more conscious about the safety of the baby than his desire.
“But doctor said there is no problem if we both are careful until advanced pregnancy.” Charita’s face filled with little irritation.
“Still it is not preferable. I read somewhere it is quite recommendable not to have sex during pregnancy for the safety of the baby. Now our baby is the main concern to us both and I don’t want to take any risk.” Anirudh’s face was firm.
“Okay then. Our child’s safety is very much important to me also. I just try to sleep imagining a girl baby to me and you may better finish your reading as fast as possible and come to sleep.” This time she released herself from his hold and laid gently on the left side of her while trying to sleep.
Anirudh looked at her for few seconds, got down from the bed, took a book from the cupboard nearby and started reading it after slumping himself in the chair there.
There on the bed, Charita indeed started imagining that she has become mother of a girl baby and might be because of that she got a dream in which she was mother of an eighteen years aged girl. That girl was also just like her, resembled her in all respects. But she was in that guest house, on the same bed and those three rogues including her husband were gang-raping her again. She was all nude and they were doing it just so to her as they did to her.
“Mommy....save me.....save me from this....” her daughter was yelling and weeping loudly.
“No....” the peaceful environment there was shattered at once because of her huge yell like that and it startled Anirudh that much, his hands shivered and lost their grip so the book in his hands fell on the ground. With heavily beating heart he immediately reached her and took her into his both hands.
“No, please don’t do it. Don’t do it to my baby. Please don’t gang-rape my daughter.” She was weeping loudly and yelling.
“What is this? What’s happening?” Anirudh’s heart missed a beat on hearing that and he tried to turn her face towards him and looked into that.
“You bastard! Get out of this place.” Using all her force she threw him from the bed and as he was completely unprepared to it, he fell from it onto the floor there.
“You and your rogue friends are doing the same to my daughter also. You are gang-raping my daughter. I don’t let that happen.” She also got off from the bed and started kicking Anirudh in his stomach with her feet with all her strength.
Anirudh was feeling not only very much pain but shock also but somehow he could manage to get up from the floor and stood parallel to her. Once he stood parallel to her she started kicking him with her firsts.
“You three are raping my daughter. I don’t let it happen to her.” She was weeping and yelling with the same level of voice.
“We have no daughter yet and we are not sure whether it would be a daughter or son. Nothing like that is happening as you are imagining and please just listen to me.” Anirudh put all his effort and managed to hug her forcibly amidst her kicking like that. “Just listen to me. We have no daughter yet. There is no chance that anyone does rape her or gang rape her.”
She suddenly remained passive and silent in his hug. “Then is it is all just my dream? I have no daughter yet and no one is doing any atrocity to her?” her voice was weak and trembling.
“You have not given birth to any baby not to say whether it is a daughter or son. You are in the very early stage of pregnancy so just try to feel relaxed.” He kissed on her head still keeping her in his hold like that.
“But Anirudh..........” crooning even more into him Charita said. “..........I am not going to give birth to a girl baby. It must only be a son. It must only be a son.” Her voice was vehement.
‘Why?’ Anirudh was about to ask but controlled himself understanding her fear. “Yes, you are going to give birth only to a son not a daughter. It is just going to happen like that. Just feel relaxed and sleep.” He tried to make her lay on the bed and she obliged.
“But what if it is a girl baby, a daughter?” just before lying fully on the bed, frowns gathered on her forehead and she said. “What if it is a girl baby? It is not in our hands to decide and it is in the hands of god. What if a girl baby bears to me?”
“Then too there will be no problem.” once again Anirudh’s heart beat was quickened. “We shall be very much careful and see there will be never any danger to her. I shall guard her every moment and protect her. Believe me and sleep peacefully.”
“No, it is not going to be like that.” She once again sat bolt straight on the bed. “There are enough bad guys in the world and they don’t let my daughter live peacefully. They would gang-rape her as you three did to me and then she will be forced to marry one among them.”
“It never happens like that, believe me.” While trying to control his speedy heart Anirudh said. “I protect her every moment. I shall see.....”
“You bastard! What do you see? You gang-raped me like that with those two bastards and you take care of your daughter! If you don’t rape her yourself that is enough.” Charita was once again yelling loudly.
“Charita what it is? Do you know how nastily you are talking!” Anirudh’s face was filled with shock on hearing that.
