Victory had been decided in less than ten seconds! Wun Fan had defeated a ninth-level Martial Disciple in just two moves. All the other combatants didn’t dare move a muscle, afraid that they would be his next target.
Wun Fan had recklessly channelled a large amount of his aether into his fist. He knew that this would use up most of the aether in his body, but he was still surprised that over seventy percent of his aether had been consumed. He would be completely exhausted with just one more punch. However, he wasn’t worried. He still had a secret cheat weapon up his sleeve!
Wun Fan hastily called out for Old Lei in his mind, “Old Lei, would you mind helping me replenish my aether?”
“Mm,” Old Lei replied curtly. As he said that, a surge of pure aether rushed out of the Point of Joining Valleys from the Spiritstartler Ring and circulated throughout Wun Fan’s body. It was an incredibly pleasant feeling. Wun Fan stopped holding back now that he had tasted the full extent of the Spiritstartler Ring’s power. He quickly rushed to the next ninth-level Martial Disciple, raised his hand and threw a punch at full power again!
However, his opponent saw how his companion was taken out. He quickly assumed the defensive, raising his sword before his chest to block Wan Fan’s punch. Everyone believed that he had managed to block Wun Fan’s attack, but a tremendous force travelled down the sword. The Martial Disciple felt a sharp pain in his wrist and let go of his grip, causing the sword to fall to the ground.
“Heh,” Wun Fan took advantage of the opportunity and threw another punch with all his power. The fist crashed into his opponent’s face and he collapsed to the ground, now completely unconscious. Every move from Wun Fan consumed an immense amount of his aether. Typically, a Martial Disciple would never use up their aether so easily. After all, replenishing their aether would require a lot of time—time that could otherwise be spent accumulating aether to tackle the next vital pressure point.
That was why everyone was so shocked by Wun Fan’s reckless style of fighting.
The enforcers finally snapped back to their senses. The remaining ten members immediately assumed combat formation and attacked Wun Fan in unison, giving him no chance of defeating them one by one! The enforcers regularly trained together, so their coordinated formation was actually quite formidable when they surrounded Wun Fan.
When Wun Fan rushed forward, a few of the enforcers would make sure to each strike at his head, torso and legs respectively; when Wun Fan stepped back, a few other enforcers would strike at non-vital points on his back.
Slash. One of the tenth-level Martial Disciples managed to graze Wun Fan’s arm. Just as everybody thought they had finally managed to score one on Wun Fan, he grabbed the blade of the sword, exerting all his strength to grip the sword with his fingers. His palm was cut open and blood poured from the open wound. However, Wun Fan simply smiled viciously and kicked the Martial Disciple in his groin with full force. Something important broke and the disciple crumpled to the ground!
“Owww…” The disciples howled for several seconds before falling silent. Every man and boy in the arena felt a chill near their ground and shivered involuntarily.
Wun Fan was completely fearless. Every time someone stabbed at him, he would endure the attack and retaliate immediately with a kick or a punch. Every single one of Wun Fan’s attacks was powered by over half of his aether. Your ordinary tenth-level Martial Disciple would be instantly knocked out by a single hit from him. Soon, nine of Wan Ping’s eleven Martial Disciple followers had been defeated!
Only three remained of the original twelve. What a terrifying display of power.
A truly vicious warrior was always, first and foremost, vicious to themselves!
Wun Fan’s opponents were frustrated by his thuggish style of fighting. He was like a hedgehog, covered all over in quills and leaving the hunter without a single opening. Every time Wun Fan had depleted his strength, the Spiritstartler Ring would release a surge of aether to replenish his losses, allowing him to continue fighting.
The enforcers marvelled at Wun Fan’s stamina. The only two Martial Disciples left couldn’t help but ask Wun Ping, “Second Young Master, why does he seem to have an endless supply of aether?”
“Don’t worry, he must be at his limits,” Wun Ping glared at Wun Fan coldly, cruelty gleaming in his eyes. He would have to bring Wun Fan to the Enforcer’s Hall if he wanted to exact his revenge. Moreover, he had to do it today, when all the elders and the clan master were absent. All he had to do was wear Wun Fan down.
However, he didn’t expect Wun Siu Lan to be such a formidable opponent. She was holding her own against several other Martial Mortals. Meanwhile, Wun Fan’s situation was completely outside his expectations. He had easily dealt with a whole group of Martial Disciples. This was a sixth-level Martial Disciple?
However, Wun Ping’s reassurance wasn’t enough to assuage the Martial Disciples’ fears. They looked at Wun Fan cautiously and remained rooted to the ground, as if their feet had been nailed down.
“He is much more powerful compared to that night. He couldn’t even block a single attack from me that night. Could it be…is his strange disease cured?” Wun Ping was at a loss. He couldn’t help but hesitate at the thought of this, unsure of how he should proceed. He wasn’t powerful enough to sense Wun Fan’s true power.
Moreover, the thought of Wun Fan’s disease being cured sent him into even more of a spiral. His heart was filled with anxiety when he imagined Wun Fan catching back up and overtaking him.
He had not forgotten how Wun Fan had gone from a first-level Martial Disciple to a sixth-level Martial Disciple in just half a year back then. If it wasn’t for his strange disease, he would have been the next Wun Him, yet another pride of the Wun Clan. Wun Ping became increasingly nervous the more he pondered the possibility. If Wun Fan had recovered, what would happen to his status in the Wun Clan?
Wun Fan looked at the defeated disciples proudly as they moaned and groaned on the ground. He was feeling pleased with himself for this new reckless style of fighting, but he felt some slight discomfort in his meridians after replenishing the aether in his body seven times. His limbs even ached when he moved them. Wun Fan examined his internals and noticed tiny tears in his meridians. It was these tiny injuries that were causing him discomfort.
“What is this?”
“Kid, you’re finally feeling it?” Old Lei’s voice rang out as he said in a cautious tone, “Constantly enduring the surges of pure aether is rather harmful. Especially with the current strength of your meridians, you will probably end up severely injured with just one more surge of aether. Trust me, you do not want to feel the pain of having injured meridians.”
“Why didn’t you remind me earlier, Old Lei?” Wun Fan didn’t think Old Lei could even share his mental and physical senses, apart from sharing his vision.
“You didn’t ask me. I didn’t even teach you to fight this way; you were the one that asked me to keep replenishing your aether. Even if I did tell you about the risks, you were already about to start the fight. Would you have listened to me?” Old Lei replied calmly and went straight to the point, explaining himself perfectly. Wun Fan had nothing to say in reply.
Old Lei was right. Wun Fan knew himself. He would not change his mind once he had decided on something.
“Roar…” Wun Fan howled excitedly. He looked to be in a terrible condition: he was covered in blood and a dozen wounds, some of which were still bleeding and staining the ground red. The injuries of his meridians were also a thorn in his side. However, morale was everything. Wun Fan shouted boldly, “I kill with every step, none shall stop me in my tracks. Ready or not, here I come!”
He wasn’t actually killing anyone, but the bold sentiment behind his words carried through.
“Fan!” Wun Siu Lan was still dealing with the seven Martial Mortals and couldn’t come to his aid. The more she was stalled, the more and more furious she became. Her rage spilled forth uncontrollably when she saw Wun Fan covered all over in blood.
“Move,” Wun Siu Lan’s soul energy erupted and bright red sparks appeared on her body, shooting at her opponents. Strangely enough, while the sparks showed signs of spreading when they hit the Martial Mortals, they did not ignite any of the grass on the ground where they landed!
The seven Martial Mortals surrounded Wun Siu Lan and blocked her way. Their goal was to stall her until Wun Fan had been defeated and captured. They had no intention of fighting Wun Siu Lan to the bitter end. They glanced over at the other fight and couldn’t help but be surprised by how injured Wun Fan appeared to be. What shocked them even more was that only three of their people remained standing, including Wun Ping himself. Leung Ming, in particular, was at a loss. He had believed himself to have overestimated Wun Siu Lan already. He had brought his entire squad with him, expecting them to easily subdue both Wun Siu Lan and Wun Fan with the might of seven Martial Mortals.
Yet, even so, he had underestimated her.
The girl before him was not even ten-years-old and she was already at peak Martial Mortal level, just like him. Your ordinary kid would have been considered a genius if they trained without pause and achieved fifth-level Martial Disciple at the age of ten. Leung Ming was embarrassed to think that he was twenty years old and not a match for a girl half his age.
Even Wun Fan had been regarded as an unbelievable genius for having reached sixth-level Martial Disciple at the age of nine. One could unironically call Wun Siu Lan a monster for having talent that far surpassed even that!
Leung Ming was completely surprised by what formidable opponents they were.
“You guys are the ones that forced my hand. I hadn’t intended to go all-out,” Wun Siu Lan closed her eyes and calmed her mind. She then channeled her soul energy and prepared her attack. In the meantime, the seven Martial Mortals were breaking out into cold sweat. Leung Ming’s heart beat furiously. He thought about it for a moment and immediately gave an order, “Don’t let her charge up her attack.”
“Lethality: Fleeting Drizzle Sword,” Leung Ming’s attack was a barrage of sword strikes that resembled a fleeting drizzle; here in a hurry, gone in a hurry. It was a series of quick stabs aimed at Wun Siu Lan’s arm.
“Lethality: The Thirteen Strikes of the Lucid Sword,” Three of the Martial Mortals moved to seal off Wun Siu Lan’s path of retreat.
“Lethality: Falling Clouds, Setting Sword,” Two of the other Martial Mortals approached from the right, while the last person came from the left.
Peak Martial Mortal Wun Siu Lan, a ten-year-old girl, had forced a group of people in their late teens to attack without holding back. Leung Ming, their leader, was even twenty-years-old. Regardless of the outcome of this battle, Wun Siu Lan would be known throughout Green Sea Town for this achievement.
Wun Siu Lan suddenly opened her eyes. Her left eye was an unnaturally red color as she recited, “The first flame, Crimson Lotus Karma is its name, severs the sin of ten thousand worldly shame.”
“Lethality: Crimson Lotus Karmic Flame,” Soul energy burst from Wun Siu Lan’s palm, turning into a strange crimson flame. Sparks crackled on the tips of her fingers. Her opponents’ swords were ignited on contact and quickly turned bright red, as if they were starting to melt from the heat. Wun Siu Lan touched her necklace and a sword appeared in her hand. On closer look, she was wearing a storage ring on her chest!
Even Wun Fan couldn’t help but be curious about Wun Siu Lan’s technique. This was the first time he had seen such a strange but enchanting flame. He was momentarily absorbed by the sight of it, so much so that he didn’t even hear Old Lei mutter in his mind, “Hm, strange.”
Schwing. Wun Siu Lan drew the sword from its sheathe and swung it, instantly cutting the seven swords in halves. Her opponents hastily stepped back out of fear. Strangely enough, Wun Siu Lan’s own sword showed no signs of heat. For a moment, no one knew how to deal with Wun Siu Lan at all.
While the Martial Mortals were wondering if they should keep fighting, Wun Siu Lan had no intentions of letting any of them go. She waved her sword and slashed at Leung Ming’s face. She was determined to cut him a deep impression, even if he truly intended to stop now.
“Stop,” Wun Ching Yeung finally returned and arrived at the arena at the crucial moment. Today was the day the Wun Clan’s market would reopen. They had even invited the mayor for the event. However, right as the event started, the guards received notice that Wun Fan and Wun Ping were fighting again. Moreover, Wun Siu Lan and the enforcers were involved as well!
Wun Siu Lan didn’t intend to stop there. They were the ones that started it and they would pay for it! Her momentum showed no signs of stopping. She was determined to teach them a lesson.
“This brat!” Wun Ching was furious. It seemed like he had spoiled this girl too much. To think that she would refuse to listen to him. Didn’t they agree that she was to leave him some dignity as the clan master while in front of the rest of the clan? This girl had grown a little too daring. Where would his reputation go if he didn’t teach her a little lesson?318Please respect copyright.PENANA2GLq5AMBiJ
