“Do so then.” After saying so Williams took a step to go away from that place.
“That Viswanadh is indeed impressive and handsome as you said! There is no surprise at all that Evalla married him so.”
“Anyhow that old bastard lured her with his money I think. However much handsome he may be, how a twenty three years aged girl would agree to marry him?”
“He did not do anything like that at all. It is a big story to say here now but she herself proposed marriage to him. It was from her side.”
“Then she heard about his richness and was lured towards it. It might not be just because of his handsome personality.”
“There is a chance that it happens like that. But................”Rose paused for a second before saying again. “............I thought that Evalla is somehow beautiful as she is a movie actress also but when I saw her I really felt surprise! She is not only very much beautiful but there is something very much attractive in her.”
“If you yourself are feeling like that, it must be true.”
“She is indeed a very amicable lady. I felt very much nice while talking with her.”
“She also would have felt in the same way I think. Now I have to move if I want to reach my office in time.” Then Williams moved out of that room and Rose just followed him.

“I am really sorry that I have to go away like that yesterday. I don’t want to make you to come to my home again so I came straight to BAMC but without an appointment.”
After ensconcing himself in the chair opposite to Rose in her chamber Viswanadh said. It was ten in the morning and she felt surprise learning that Viswanadh was already waiting for her in BAMC waiting room. Generally from ten to eleven she just go around the mental care and see how her patients were doing and attend on the other psychiatrist’s patients also if there is a necessity like that. On this day, just because of Viswanadh’s waiting for her like that, she postponed that programme. They both were talking in her chamber then.
“No problem at all sir” her usual charming smile climbed onto her lips again. “I have no scheduled patients at present and we can have relaxed chit chat now.”
“After talking with my wife such a lengthy time on that day, to what opinion you have come? From what type of psychological disorder she has been suffering from?” Viswanadh straight came into business.
“My primary opinion on that has been confirmed to some more extent sir. She is suffering from split personality disorder.” Rose’s face also became serious and she leaned back in the chair. “It needs some more diagnosis but so far I am sure upto ninety percent that it is split personality.”
“Why my wife has subjected to that? And how much time it takes to cure her completely from it?” Viswanadh also leaned back in the chair and his face also was serious.
“For your first question, there are more than one reason to these split personalities to take place. Child abuse, intensive fear, uncontrollable desires. Sometimes an absolutely imagined character would be created in the subject and he or she behaves according to that imaginary character’s wishes and desires. Sometimes the subject images a real character on him or her and started behaving just like that character. It does not matter whether that real character is in existence or not.”
“Can we say this Okatho is completely and absolutely an imaginary character in my wife?”
“I am not sure about that. There may be somewhere a real Okatho living or dead by now, Evalla somehow came to know about it and imposed that character on her now. Or.....” Rose paused for a second before saying again “........that Okatho is absolutely an imaginary character as you are presuming.”
“Still I just cannot understand why my wife has been subjected to a psychological disorder like this.” There was suddenly distress in the face of Viswanadh.
“There is many a thing that you don’t know about your wife sir. In fact she herself does not know many things regarding her life. Where she has taken birth, how she has been looked after. She may have forgotten lot of things regarding her childhood consciously but subconsciously they still can influence her a lot. Evalla is active and cheerful but she is appearing a lonely type also. You said it right she does not have any friends. Even she wants to be good with everyone she does not want to make friendships.”
“Why so?” Viswanadh knitted his brows together.
“Needs to be seen. To assess her in the right way, a lot of observation is necessary. She is a stranger not only to you, not only to me but she is a stranger to herself. There is a lot in her that she herself did not understand. Something deep inside her causing this split personality problem.”
“Hearing what you have said, this split personality problem has been in her for a long time but just exposed like that on that day.”
“I don’t think like that. Evalla herself did not know whether that split-personality exposed in her previous to that date or not. One important thing here; not just about the past before her entry into that orphanage but she does not remember much about her life in the orphanage and afterwards also. It seems that she has been suffering from a memory problem also.” Rose stooped forward in the chair and balanced her both arms on the table in between them both.
“My god! Is it is so?” Viswanadh’s face was filled with a shocking expression.
“It is just so.” Rose nodded her head. “In my opinion she has been purposefully hypnotised and programmed by someone to forget all about her past before leaving her at the orphanage. That programming influenced her too deep and affected her total memory power.”
“How anyone can do something like that to an innocent girl?” Viswanadh said angrily.
“We cannot say anything about it now until we know the story of her in full.”
“Anyhow how you are going to cure her doctor? How long it takes to make her completely normal?” the anxiousness that was already set in his face has intensified even more.
“I want to be frank with you on this. Split-personalities and multiple personalities are not easy ones to be cured fast and there is a long process to follow. One thing for which we can feel quite happy is; she agrees that she has been suffering from a psychological disorder and ready for taking treatment to that.” Rose once again leaned back in the chair and said.
“I just don’t know what to say. This is all appearing quite confusing and fearful to me.” Viswanadh also leaned back in the chair and closed his eyes.
“BAMC and I are always ready to do everything to take your wife to normalcy. Even the disorder is not an easy one to be cured fast, becoming anxious yourself is not going to solve any problem. Just put her in our hands and try to be relaxed. I try my level best to make her normal as fast as possible.” With an assuring tone Rose said.
“Thank you very much! What is the next step? Should I join her here now itself? My present concern is her well being and I don’t want to be bothered with any other thing at all.” With firmness Viswanadh said.
“That is indeed a wise decision!” with a happy expression in her face Rose said. “You need not join her in our mental care this fast. For some more days just observe her. Whenever she becomes Okatho, don’t try to make her usual self fast. Be interacted with that Okatho and try to know more and more about it. If we know more about the other personality in her, we can understand why it has taken place. It will become easy to us to deal with it if we know the reason for its taking birth.”
“Alright. I do so.” Viswanadh nodded his head.
“I want to talk with the driver who took her to the orphanage on that day. Where he is now?”
“He is at my car outside now. May I call him?”
“Hundred percent! Please do that.”

“So, you are the person who took madam to that orphanage on that day?”
That driver entered into the chamber of Rose after Viswanadh phoned him and asked him to do so. His name was Anand and he has been asked to sit but he preferred to stand. Once Rose understood that he would not sit beside his boss she stopped asking him to sit and started her questioning.
“Not just on that day but previously also I took her there on three or four occasions.” Anand said.
“Yes, she is interested in seeing the place where she has grown up occasionally so and I too don’t see anything in it to object.” Viswanadh said.
“She said in the return journey that car has been got into some repair and you both have to stop on the middle of the way for some half an hour or so. Ever it has happened like that before?”
“No, it has never happened like that before. That was the first time it took place in such a way.” Anand said. “That was a lonely place in fact and suddenly our car stopped. It got into some repair and I understood it was not going to settle by me. I know a mechanic shed nearby, asked the madam to sit in the car and went to the said mechanic shed but the mechanic was not readily available then. I have to wait there for twenty minutes or so until he comes and took him to the car. He repaired the car and then we started from that place and reached home.”
“What madam was doing by the time you reached the car with the mechanic?”
“She was sleeping in the car leaning back in the back seat. I have to wake her up?”
“Was there a chance that she went somewhere, came back and started sleeping like that?”
“Yes, there is such a chance also.” Anand nodded his head “But it did not appear to me that she went anywhere in my absence.”
“Alright. You can go now.”
After hearing from Rose like that, Anand went away from that room.
“That split personality exposing so on that day appears quite coincidental to me. I am not thinking anything particular or specific on that day caused exposing of her split personality.” Rose said. “And I am of the opinion that it was not the first time. Previously also that split personality would have been exposed in her like that.”
“I am also feeling just like that now.” Viswanadh said.
There was silence between them both before Rose breaking it again. “That’s it sir. You are going to observe your for wife some more days. Whenever that split personality exposed in her, engage it into talking and try to know about it more. There is a specific procedure to deal with split personality problems and when that other personality in your wife exposed sufficiently, I shall explain to you what is that procedure and start my treatment.”
“Is there would be any danger in between?”
“It depends on the nature of that split personality also. If it is of a mild nature, there will be no problem. But if it is of wild nature, we have to be careful! How was Evalla’s nature when that split-personality was exposed in her? Was it cruel and violent?”
“I cannot say that it was cruel and violent but she was forceful and vehement.”
“Alright then. Don’t worry unnecessarily and don’t feel fear also. Just remember! Whenever that split personality exposed in your wife, deal with it as if it was a real personality. Don’t try to convince that it is just imagination of your wife and nothing real. It is very important to know about why a split-personality takes birth to deal with it and cure the problem.”
“I understood doctor.” Viswanadh nodded his head. “Anyhow Evalla indeed is appearing as a strange personality! She is beautiful and if she wants she can get better choice than I. Why she still preferred to marry a fifty years aged man like me I cannot understand! I don’t think that she married me only for my money.”
“Even without asking her I know the answer to that.” Rose laughed mellifluously and while Viswanadh was observing her curiously she said. “I don’t know at what age she has been admitted in that orphanage but she has been starving for love and affection of her parents for a long time. Now she wants a father to give her that love and affection rather than a husband for sex. I think now you understood why she has chosen particularly you to marry”.
Viswanadh’s face filled with shock and like lightening he remembered what she has asked after they both have vigorous sex for the first time after their marriage.
