Now imagine how hard it is to change a habit that has evolved into a lifestyle. Character development like in the movies isn't so straightforward. It's frustrating. You might fall back into your unhealthy lifestyle, again and again, but in a novel, you can't have that, can you? Readers will get fed up.
It's so easy to sympathise with a fictional character, and so easy to hate one, with one of the main reasons being you know what they're thinking. You know the character's background and reason behind their actions. But in real life, it's not so straightforward.

We live in a society that's so quick to judge. "Cancel culture" says it all. Really, it's good and all when the person in question "deserves" it, but what do we know?

A lot of stories have an abundance of characters that play a role in the plot. But... in many cases, characters seem to freeze in time when they're not shown. Outside of the main protagonists, side characters and even villains just sit idly about until the next time they're needed. They don't experience growth when the story isn't focused on them. Many stories, including well-known ones, have this problem.
But as we all know, in reality, the world doesn't revolve around us. It keeps moving whether you like it or not. Time waits for no one. It's so easy to be left behind.
Oh, and don't get me started on the multitude of Romance tropes out there. Ah yes, my least favourite ones - some random extroverted girl comes up to some quiet guy and takes suddenly takes an interest in him as if he's some famous singer. What.8964 copyright protection299PENANAh5LGZCOeJ1 維尼
And the ceo-mafia boss- chaebol- duke male lead. Is this every girl's fantasy or what??? Why is it always the ceo???? Technically you can just create your own company on paper and call yourself the founder and ceo. Maybe I should just do that... 8964 copyright protection299PENANAHAfqv0NXLI 維尼
Also, the average age of ceos are 59. Well, there goes your dream, ladies. Uh, it's fine if you like older men, I guess...8964 copyright protection299PENANAThRJUxvKez 維尼
