While at home one day I just woke up for school. As I got up and went to the bathroom my brother Mason comes running after me. I stopped running then he caught up with me and pinned me to the wall. As he talked and looked at me I knew he was drunk. By the look in his eyes, they were darker than normal.
"Where you going", Mason asked me.

"Where are you going like I said?" he asked again.
"Ummm... School", I answered.
Then he punched me."What did I say about getting fucking smart with me.", Mason said starting to lean wall for support. Then later fell on the floor and passed out I guess he was wasted. He could never hold alcohol not even for a second.
Instead of saying something back I just kept walking. As I went into the bathroom I locked the door since I learned that if you cry or even scream in this house you would get a punishment. And I don't want that again.
So I just held all my tears in and tried not to let it out. I hopped into the shower and washed my hair with some vanilla shampoo and body wash. I got out and turned off the water and changed into a black sweater and burgundy red jeans and black converse. While putting on my clothes I brushed my teeth and hair.
I walked slowly out the bathroom and tried not to step on the floorboards that creaked. My father was walking out his room so I ran as fast as I could to my room. When I got in there I looked back to make sure that he didn't see me and he didn't thank god. I closed my door and searched my room for my backpack and there it was under my bed. It was a Elmo backpack I had since I was 5 and isn't in bad shape it looks like I just bought it.
I sighed. I stuffed my homework in my backpack and checked my watch and it was 7:31 and it takes me 30 minutes to get to school. Plus I have to walk to school so I have to get going. So my father won't get me when I get home back I put a note on the fridge they said: Went To School -Alex. I checked my watch again 7:45 ugh I'm going to be late. I ran to school which was 10 blocks away good thing it wasn't raining. I got there in 5 minutes and looked at the clock on the wall it was 7:50. I had 10 minutes to get to Math as I got to my locker. Some boys were standing there talking.
"Look who's late again", said the first boy
"Hey Chad, Isn't that girl's name Ariel", said the second boy
"No that isn't her name it's Chelly right?", said Chad
"Umm... Excuse me I'm late for math"
"Oh we are very sorry we will move", said the second boy
"Not losers like you don't deserve to be talking to us", said the third boy that just walked over here.
I sighed. And just walked away I will go to my locker later and ran down the hall to math. It was now 8:23. Now Mr Edward is going to say I was skipping now. I walked into the classroom quietly and closed the door.
"Ms Jackson take your seat I will talk to you after class", Mr Edward said
The only seat that was left was in the back so I walked slowly to my seat until Brittany tripped me with her 5in heels. How do people walk in those things?
"Opps sorry about that were you walking", Brittany said
I got up and kept walking to my seat while everybody in class was laughing. Just then a lady came on the intercom "We need Alex Jackson to the front office, We need Alex Jackson to the front office". I got up to leave and this made sure that I won't get tripped. When I left the class I walked into the front office. I asked the lady up there what do you need and she said you're wanted in the principal 's office right away. I walked into the principal's office and sat down next to this lady and across from Mr Jenkins.
"Now Alex this is Jamie you will be living with her for awhile", Mr Jenkins said
"Hi, I'm Jamie Storm", Mrs Storm said
"An I'm Alex and do I know you"
"Alright let's go now and lets stop by your house so we can get your bags ", Mrs Storm said
"I have all my clothes in my bag Mrs Storm"
"Well, bye Ms Jackson have fun", Mr Jenkins said
After that talking to Mrs Storm and Mr Jenkins we left.
"You're going L.A to live with me, my sons and my husband", Mrs Storm said
I just got in and sat there. Then put on my seatbelt and she did the same. And then started the car she said we are going to the airport. I just started looking out the window. Then I listened to the song Again and then started to doze off. It felt like I slept for about 3 hours before Mrs Storm woke me up.
"We are here", Mrs Storm said
"Uhh...We were just in London how did we get here so fast".
"I had one of the guards carry you onto the plane", Mrs said
"What about how fast we got here"
"We took my private jet", Mrs Storm said
