The emotion of last night has subsided thankfully. It felt as though I was drowning in it, the worry and the anxiety. Now however, I am focusing on the eggs sizzling in the pan. Really a large breakfast is the very least Matthew deserves having put up with my emotional outbursts all whilst taking care of Henry for me. Moving them around the pan I crack another egg and watch it solidify before my eyes. The growing anxiety I am experiencing is something I will have to have an open conversation with Jay about. My fear of being alone or isolated may even subside once the hormones have settled, once I’ve breathed in the fresh Italian air and gazed over the sunset hills.

"Yes Taylor's eggs" Ross smiles walking into the bright kitchen his arms wide and open as he embraces me before going over to Matthew.

"Ohhh Henry you are growing already" Ross smiles as I stand watching him in my nightgown. He places him over his shoulder and retrieves a bottle of breast milk from the fridge. Placing it in the bottle warmer before checking it. Henry practically squeals at him as he grins pushing his blonde hair off of his face. Undeterred by the cries he smiles at my baby exuding a sense of calm.

"Okay dude, let me make sure it's the right temp first" he chuckles as I place a full breakfast in front of Matthew and ruffle his hair.

"Here little one" Ross smiles resting back and feeding him. The crying quietens and I re-focus my mind on the breakfast. Frying up some more bacon and eggs and popping more bread in the toaster.

"That's not a bad idea." I say softly, eyeing Matthew briefly as he sips his coffee. He rolls his eyes at me and I smirk imagining Ross laying asleep on the floor and wincing. And how the physio would chastise us.

The spare room, currently littered with Ross' belongings has a large arched window with a window seat. It was supposed to be the babies room for when he grows up and can utilise his own space.

The three of us take Henry out for stroll together before the physio arrives for Ross' session. I dress Henry with ease, telling myself that I am his mother and I know what's best. Dungarees with a polo neck and a cute wooly hat comprises his outfit for the day. As I make sure that we have layers in case the wind picks up. The pram keeps him very happy and we all enjoy the relief from the crying. The fresh air, the sun and the familiar scent of the cherry trees awaits us and I smile over at Matthew for sticking by me in what was possibly the hardest night so far.
