"Henry Andrew Gilbert Scott" she smiles looking down at him. In true Gilbert Scott style he is currently asleep in his mother's arms. His lips closed together, porcelain skin and blonde curls. He inherited my hair colour and Taylor's wavy curls, it's truly adorable.

"You okay, mon amour" I ask her Matthew is behind us, somehow since he potentially saved her life, he doesn't aggravate me anymore. Moreover since I have a child, that Taylor quite rightly so indicated, is looking up to me it’s not my place to be bitter or to be angry. We created a child together, I couldn’t ask for more in my life, apart from maybe a second little baby. The true miracle that is new life has taken me and altered my perspective on the future.

My mother smiles up at me, pure pride on her face seeing me hold my little baby. I always knew it would mean a lot to her, but really actually living in this moment far exceeds any imaginary life I could have made up to please her.

Not one woman apart from my mother hugs my father, no other person would dare for the fear of being pushed away by such a stoic sensible man. But Taylor he adores her, embracing her. I begin to wonder whether my mum having another child, a daughter, would have changed his personality. I was such an unbearable son, in my younger days.
