"Mon amour" Jay whispers pulling me onto his lap at the head of our table, Henry is fast asleep in the bassinet and Andrew is watching over him. Intent on fulfilling the doting grandfather role. I fork up a slice of my cake and spoon feed it to Jay.

"My mother is arriving tomorrow too" I tell him as Matthew looks up and I smile at him. The conversation turns to the christening, I deflect it from being about myself and my skills. The candles die down on the table as the moon provides us with enough light to enjoy the rest of the evening. Jay informs us that Christopher and Rachel will be arriving within the next couple of days in order to spend some time with us before the big day. Our large home will be very busy, I cannot help but to feel happy to be surrounded by the people I love.

Andrew begrudgingly must fly back to Dubai for a few meetings before the big day, he apologises for his absence to the entire table and I smile. Jay genuinely accepts his apology standing and pouring him another brandy before grasping another bottle and topping up all of the glasses.

As the evening turns into night Andrew and Claire excuse themselves, Claire kissing my forehead before they leave and ascend the steps to the second floor of our large home. We made sure to put fresh cotton sheets on the beds, and even spare towels for their visit. It's fortunate that they will have their very own bathroom on the second floor too, and it means no waiting or queues for a shower in the morning.

The guys chat and I look out of the window at the moon and how the reflections of the stars shine over the pool. I tune in and out of their conversation as they begin a game of poker. Standing up abruptly as Matthew eyes me curiously before I walk over to the bassinet and retrieve my baby. Removing him from his swaddled blanket and noticing the check pyjama suit he has been changed into by his grandfather. I hug his small body into my chest as he fusses.

Taking a seat next to Jay, I feed Henry pulling my cami down as he nuzzles into me. Jay is maintaining control over the entire game and has already declared that he will win. Quite frankly I don't doubt him. He has an incredible poker face although Matthew is usually very good at playing his hand down, giving everybody else a false sense of confidence until he comes swooping in. I eye him curiously having peeked at Jay's cards.
