Honestly as I rise in the morning taking in the soft sheets, the ebony oak bed and the soft breathing of my baby in the bassinet next to me I cannot help but to smile with my eyes still closed. Briefly opening my eyes and appraising my golden blonde model of a husband as I rub his tan chest and softly kiss his neck. It helps that my day of pampering awaits me, a strict schedule and spray tan courtesy of Rachel. I imagine us all having dinner outside overlooking the sea at pelican hill later on in the evening and smile. The temperatures are still warm for November, the sun still rising in the mornings. Although the heat isn't suffocating like the days of summer.

Jay's hand rubs my own and he begins massaging my shoulder. Drawing lines down my forearms and back up again to the sensitive spot under my shoulder.

"How's it feel" he whispers, Jay had inadvertently pushed me after the death of his father. My shoulder had been in a splint for a few weeks. It's something that still plays on his mind, yet now when he addresses the subject he isn't filled with despair, moreover his intention is redemption. Gazing down at my arms and clenching and unclenching my wrists I remind myself of the day I took my splint off before Dubai. Of how my arm felt delicate and fragile. Of how he watched me in our bathroom mirror with worry and panic in his eyes. His expression full of self hatred as I reassured him and told him I would be fine.

"Mhmm" he murmurs standing in his boxers as I drink him in. I watch as he crosses the apartment floor letting the light shine through the drapes before he assembles the playpen. With no shirt on, I gawk at him watching him quickly build the new playpen with ease. He doesn't even utter one curse word and before I know it the cushioned play pen is set up for our little baby to play and roll around in whilst we shower.

"Henry" I whisper placing our fed baby down onto the changing mat and putting a fresh diaper on him. He thrashes around, getting ready to roll away whilst I'm changing him. Babbling noises and trying out new sounds for words. I lift him up and switch on the huge flatscreen onto the teletubbies and he squeals excitedly.

"Of course you will" he whispers kissing me under the stream of water. His lips explore my neck and chest before I turn him around and massage his back under the stream of water. The whole time we hear Henry babbling through the open door and it assures me that he is just fine.

Jay and I dress watching Henry enjoy himself in the playpen, he helps me to tie up my pale blue dress and giggles at me getting breathless trying to hook up the buttons around bump.

"You holding my babies is the sexiest thing in this world" he whispers grasping Henry and placing him in a cotton day suit. Matching his own Ralph Lauren top to his before he straps him into the stroller and we proceed to leave the suite. I fling my bag over my shoulder and walk next to him down the foyer to the lifts noticing how he has packed Henry's baby bag and placed it around the handles. The lightweight foldable pushchair that we purchased for holidays is a more dynamic system and I envision myself having to have a double buggy before long once I have two little ones. No more lightweight easy to manoeuvre frames.

"Good morning" I say as Jay parks up the bugaboo butterfly next to the laid out breakfast table. You can hear the sea from the outdoor seating area, the wind reduces the heat and for pregnant me it's perfect however I notice that Rachel is wrapped in a cardigan. Compared to my pale blue strapped dress she looks overdressed, Matthew eyes me breifly before looking down at his empty mug. Ross smiles down at Henry as he extends his small arms imploring him to lift him up from the buggy. Soon he will be climbing right out, he creates a noise and Ross coos him and wraps him in his arms.

"Morning" Christopher smiles as I take a seat next to Ross thanking him. Jay claps Chris on the back before waltzing over to the large kitchen and presumably asking the chef to add our breakfasts to the order.

"The foods nice here isn't it" I quip and she laughs her head rocking back. It's no secret that Jay and I are pretty passionate lovers and clearly our antics had been obvious last night. Matthew stands to move his chair over so as to allow Jay to sit with me, my eyes flick down to his leg. No longer wearing his leg boot which was aiding his recovery, instead he is clad in tan chino shorts and a loose white shirt. One of his legs appears a darker tan than the other as it has been shielded from the sun for some time.

The waiter wearing a white shirt and linen trousers serves me a fully cooked breakfast with all of the trimmings as I glance up at Jay and he brushes his lips on my own before concentrating on Henry and the avocado and toast.

As the sun rises over our heads and the food is all cleared away, Jay keeps his arms around my shoulders rubbing me occasionally. He wipes Henry down smiling to himself as he places him in the pushchair, I watch as Henry closes his eyes and purses his lips.

Rachel and I skip down to the changing suites in order to get into our swimwear. Having emerged from the white marble changing room with my two piece on and the robe draped around my shoulders I scan the wrist band on the allocated locker and dump my bag in it. Hanging up my change of clothes on the provided hangers and smiling to myself as Rachel comes out making a whole torrent of noise. Asking questions such as what pool should we use first, there's an inside waterfall and an outdoor whirlpool to choose from I noticed on the brochure and both sound appealing to me and my aching back.

The spraying waterfall doesn't disappoint amongst the pillars and the arched walls of the spa, the water crashes down in a torrent from a first floor balcony. You can hear the waters descent the moment you walk into the room. Yet as you stand under the flow of water it feels refreshing and gentle somehow.

The massage, although I would never tell Jay, rivals any massage I have ever received. The pressure is just right and combined with the scent of jasmine and fresh pear in the air, the low light and soft music it all but sends me to sleep.

Unlike Rachel and her bright fuchsia nails, I opt for a classic powder pink for both my toes and fingernails. They are filed and polished to a professional standard as I select my lunch choices from the menu and sip on a cup of green tea.

Eating seared salmon and roasted vegetables in a large fluffy robe before getting a facial and my hair done is most definitely something I could get used to I decide as I look up at Rachel. The dining room has a large domed glass roof that highlights the greenery and blue sky surrounding us.

Having been waxed, tanned and oiled. I sit in the large massage chair awaiting my hair to be done. Gazing into my reflection already the image reflected back to me is one of glamour and sophistication. I slipped into my white linen wide leg trousers and sandals after the treatments. Rachel sits next to me with a head full of foils and a glass of champagne happily.

The process is long winded of course but with the massagers on my back and the music on in the salon the time passes relatively quickly. Endless cups of tea and water later and Rachel and I are finished.

“Jesus Taylor look in the mirror that colour you have is wow” she says absolutely stunned looking at me and I laugh. I haven’t gazed into the mirror yet, my plan is to treat her to a new gown in one of the expensive boutiques on site. It’s the least I can do for my spa day.

“Wow” I say glancing forward unbelieving, catching my look in the mirror and smiling. The brunette hair has been lifted with perfectly placed highlights, my ends a fair colour giving my waves a lot of thickness and density. It’s a new me I think eagerly wiping my eyes and trying desperately not to smudge the mascara.
