Taylor has adorned herself in a red dress and I'm just laying here, not yet dressed, all over the king sized bed. Arms resting behind my head, eyes watching her every move. She fastens my buttons and I smirk down at her, I'm perfectly able to do up my own buttons but I’m currently enjoying her closeness. I pull on some Levi's, as she takes a seat on the bed. I haven't been around many pregnant women. My mother was briefly pregnant several times but unfortunately she didn't carry past the first trimester and so apart from when she was pregnant with me she never had a baby bump per se.

This bump has grown, before my very eyes. It's like every time I look at her there's a couple more inches. I smile awestruck as she leans back on her elbows. She almost clicks at me telling me to finish dressing and then chuckles. It's clear that the pregnancy is progressing well. The scan picture delineates the outline of our little baby, with a cute button nose.

I grab my iPhone and the keys for the Maserati, I hired outside. It's a nice car I must admit, I do have a thing for nice cars. It's just the experience of driving different ones, and the fact that not everybody gets the luxury of driving them.

Taylor enjoys being driven around even though she likes to roll her eyes when I hire something that is bright red, and can do up to 203 mph. Not that we will be using anywhere near that speed for our journey out for dinner. For me it's more the potential, the power of this car. The abilities, and it being the best of the best and all that.

I start the car up and it practically roars at me. I smile looking at the dash for a second. The matching red leather seats. My phone connecting to the car and playing my playlist, I mellow it out from the rock I've been listening to. To something a bit more Taylor. And in keeping with date night. She laughs waiting for my attention.

I place my hand on her thigh and she smirks. One hand on the car, one hand on my wife. The streets are pretty tight and winding. It all adds to the challenge of maintaining a good speed and not colliding with anything. And not looking like a guy that can't drive a Maserati.

Forgetting the car for a minute I glance over at Taylor, her hand over mine on her thigh gazing out of the window at the coastline. All of the buildings are built up on the cliff side, the ocean stretching out before us. This particular eatery has views over the sea, I just figured who wants to eat by the sea and not be able to gaze over the water at the same time.

Ristorante Glicine is not a place I have been before, in fact the Amalfi coast is not somewhere I can recall being dragged too as a child. However a candlelit dinner with my wife amidst the sea air is exactly what I need.

Since the Romans, people have populated this part of the world and visited the domed churches, the vineyards and lemon groves. It's definitely a place of rich natural beauty, just like my wife. I don't think I can ever excuse his actions, entirely, but part of me deep down whispers that I would have done the same if our roles were reversed. I imagine a stark, bleak reality where Taylor and I break things off. And where God forbid something happens to our baby. I try to navigate how I would feel, try to put myself in Matthew's shoes; just temporarily. I ask myself would I behave in the same way, if I was given half the chances he has had. And I know for sure that I most probably would have done far worse than him.
